Apr 12, 2012Hp scanner 4000 series not working since downloading Lion. I downloaded the driver, but it does not work. Received instruction to uninstall scanner, but cannnot do that since it is "grayed" out. HP support did not help.

I have tried re-installing the PPD, binning the excisting PPD files from the library from the user folder and nothing works. Is there a other location where I need to look for a clean installation?

Dec 6, 2009I'm using the printer that came with my Mac when I bought it, last year. (Photosmart C4385 All-In-One)
After working fine, suddenly, the scanner doesn't want to work. Another computer in the house, a HP Desktop seems to work fine, but as far as my far superior Mac, I get a scan error message. this happens in both wireless and connected. The printer is working fine in both wireless and connected methods.
Worse, HP is no longer allowing for on-line support via chat for Mac users! Then when trying to call them, they say that their call centers are not available. It almost seems as if HP doesn't want to hassle with Mac related problems.
Are any of you having similar issues?

Mar 30, 2008I have a Canon MP600 scanner/copier/printer. It's connected to my MacBook which I purchased in Sept 2007. I have 10.5.2 on my computer. Computer's HD failed after 4 months, then flex cable (BUS cable?) had to be replaced about a week ago. Scanner worked fine before 10.5.2 and the hard driver failing.
Scanner scans the document, but a screen pops up on the computer that says "Unable to save file. The system cannot find the path specified."

Fujitsu does not have a driver for this scanner so I was wondering if anyone has experience with this. Fujitsu suggested asking Apple or trying ScanTango. They have a program that is compatible with the scanner for $99 but it is not as good (to me) as Adobe scan program on my PC.

I borrowed an HP PSC 1410v all-in-one unit to scan a bunch of photos for a project, but I can't get it to scan! I downloaded all the HP drivers and utilities and rebooted, and it says it can't find the scanner.
I also tried the VueScan demo and couldn't get it to work there either.
The scanner works fine when connected to my friends PC... why won't OS X connect to it? Anyone else have better luck with the HP scanners?

He's able to scan barcodes of all his CD's and save it on his computer together with all the information.
