I have just purchased a Macbook Air and would like to use it with my Fujitsu fi6110 scanner. Fujitsu does not have a driver for this scanner so I was wondering if anyone has experience with this. Fujitsu suggested asking Apple or trying ScanTango. They have a program that is compatible with the scanner for $99 but it is not as good (to me) as Adobe scan program on my PC.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Canoscan 4400F which is not recognised by my MBP (early 2008) or my iMac (early 2007). (Error message is 'Unable to find driver'.) Despite installing various drivers which are supposed to be Leopard compatible, no luck so far.
Does anyone know of a driver which will work, or alternatively if I have to replace, a recommend a reasonably priced scanner which is Leopard compatible. Scanner will primarily be used for scanning documents for archiving and old photo prints for adding to iPhoto.
This scanner was able to scan 3D objects as if they were photographed professionally, if you put a colored cloth behind the object. Great depth of field. Used to have one, I just bought several of them, I have a beige G3, but I have no software/driver. Where to go?

I am unable to install a software driver for a Canon film scanner FS4000US. I have downloaded it from Canon then open the package click the install and it asks for a location namely the Applications folder. Then it says it has been installed re -start etc, but still no driver.I am using Mac OS 10.6. Any suggestions greatly received. I have repaired/disk and permissions and it still does not work.

I tried installing my fujistu printer through IP address, which was successful. I tied printing the first time through textedit and it worked perfectly. Now when I try printing again through either textedt or another program all I get is this message: "Network host 'XXX.XXX.X.XXX' is busy; will retry in 5 seconds". The amount of time keeps increasing.

I had a Dell 1100 laser printer working on my iMac (G4 ball type) using a GIMP printer. I had to reset the queue and lost the driver. I can't remember which GIMP driver I used. Also, although I have loaded the latest GIMP s/w, I can't seem to get to them in Tiger 10.4.6.

The system tells us "No Driver Update Needed for this System", and will not allow driver to be installed. Can anyone advise if the current driver is automatically installed or provided by Apple Updates. If not can you provide proper instructions on how to properly update the driver. I found an old scanner in my house and I wanted to connect it to my sisters Macbook. I've connected the power cord to the mains and the USB cable into the Macbook, the light is on on the scanner but I don't know what to do next. The scanner is a few years old so I don't know if it needs an install CD.

When I try to reinstall the MFP via the HP software assistant, the system gives me an error message that tells me I need admin rights to continue, however, I am the admin and the box in preferences reffering to admin allowing to make changes is ticked?

CS3 on my desktop (Dual G4 MDD) will allow me to open the scanner directly in the File/Import menu of Photoshop with Twain.
