Jun 27, 2012Today I set up my Apple ID from appleid.apple.com and was hoping to use the Download Album Artwork feature in my iTunes library (who doesn't like to have some nice cover art for their albums? Huh?). Unfortunately, It came up with this message:
So naturally, I go on and click Review and it takes me to this:
I click Continue and it leads me to this:
I check I have read and agree to these terms and conditions. Eventually, I get to this screen:
I fill out all of the billing address, and don't have an iTunes gift card, so I leave that out. What is left? A Credit Card field! I am only 14 years old! I don't have a Credit Card! Is there any way to get past this? I have noticed that the same thing happens in the Mac App Store. All I want to do is get the Album Artwork and get a few free apps for my iPod Touch as well as my MacBook.

I recently bought a 1GB RAM card from apple, I took out the 512KB card from Bank 1, and put in the 1GB. I then put the old card into Bank 0, but the computer wont recognize the memory in bank 0. I can get either card to work in bank 1 but neither in bank 0 . Is there some trick to activate bank 0?

Jan 13, 2011I want to add my card info to buy some apps, but I cannot. I have a bank card (not a credit card), first I tried to add that card but it did not accepted (this was my fault since it was not opened to internet purchase). So, I created a virtual card (which is far more safe to use for internet purchases), which is absolutely open for internet purchases. But when I add this card's info, Apple says (Mac App store and iTunes both did same thing) "your payment method was declined". Why? It is master-card and I'm so sure I chose correctly.

Apr 2, 2012I am no longer able to open Mail. I get the message: "Mail can't open because you don't have the necessary permissions to change the folder where it saves information" It then goes on to tell me where mail stores information and to go to that folder and use the Get Info window to change the privileges to Read and Write (which they already were). I authenticate, change them to Read and then back to Read and Write, click the lock and try again. Same result. I tried to take a screen shot of that window and got this message: "Your screen shot can't be saved. You don't have permission to save files in the location wherescreen shots are stored." Last night I tried to take a screen shot and got the same message. I repaired permissions in Disk Utility and there were thousands of permissions repaired.

Mar 19, 2012I'm on my 14th email to iTunes support and after 14 days of not being able to log into my iTunes account, I'm getting a bit desperate. Every time I log in, I'm redirected to the login screen that asks for my account name and password. I've reset my password 4x and Apple has done it twice. Still no change. I'm not getting any response that my password is wrong and I'm allowed to fill in my credentials as many times as I want. It's just redirecting me to the login screen and asking me again. If I log out and back in, it tells me after login that I need to press "ok" to verify my account information, after which it redirects me to... the login screen.

However I tunes is saying it will erase all the apps/music/pictures etc that are on there. There isnt anything yet on the mac mini as its still on my backup hard drive. Jun 28, 2012I open iTunes and first thing it does (every time!) is "Determining Gapless Playback Information" for a small (400 tracks, approx) subset of my 4,000 tunes library. I've checked and re-checked my tunes. I have NO tracks set to "Part of a gapless album".this process repeats itself sometimes when I'm importing new tunes, even after the app has been launched for awhile. iTunes starts scanning the same 400 (approx) files AGAIN, as I add new music. It takes 30-60 seconds to run through this process. Annoying!

Mar 29, 2008I reinstalled OSX (leopard) completely fresh, I have multiple Time Machine backups, and I do not want to restore my entire machine, I just want to pull out the files needed for iTunes to detect my iPhone(backups, and settings so the machine knows it can be connected to this machine) as being connected to the correct machine and not sync'd to another machine. I know how to browse the time machine backups I just need to know what files contain the preferences/logs/plist or whatever settings files that are needed to be replaced on my newly installed system.
