I have imported many cd's into itunes and I know how to do it with info as long as it is a store bought cd or a copy of a store bought cd. I have been looking forever and cant find a way to import a mixed cd into itunes and have it recognize the info for each individual track. Is there a plugin or a separate program that could assist in this. I know you can do it one track at a time but modern
View 8 Replies View RelatediTunes won't change more than one file's information at once (e.g. changing the componist at 10 Songs), even if i mark them together and iTunes tells me if i want to change them at all. It doesn't change a thing at all. If i change them one after all it works. I have about 25.000 Songs which i want to edit.

If it is possible to import MP3 files from the desktop to the iTunes library and automatically convert them to AAC files? Right now I always have doubles after converting them into AAC files by hand with iTunes. There might be a short cut key to press while dragging the files to the iTunes library?

I'm getting ready to migrate our company server to a new server box. I'm doing a complete clean install, and migrating specific information over (we had some corruptions from the initial installation Lion Server). All our users are in LDAP, not the Local directory, and I can't seem to figure out (and don't have the ability to test) if using the Ser Admin app's Archive feature of Open Directory, will include all LDAP information. My understanding is that if I create an archive and restore to it, then all of my users and there information will be put back like nothing happen, but can't get any clarification on it.

I'm doing a fresh install of the operating system on my MacBook Pro and I was wondering how I could make a back-up of the websites I made in iWeb and re-import them after I did the clean install?
View 4 Replies View Relatedfirst MacRumors is brilliant, I never contributed much, after all any question I had was here answered already. Kudos to the Community! the question is quite simple: where can I find the config files of the network/ airport?I am asking for this scenario: I upgraded my Macbook Pro HDD, the old one is in a case connected to the MBP, I did not format it, all is there, so I can easily access all the files. Well, my ports connection sucks here where I live... And it took me a loooong time to find the ports that should be open and which IP to forward and so on. I could (the long way) install the HDD again and just Screen Shot all the specs and do all over again in the new HDD, but it would be good to know how to save this configuration (I am assuming there is a file, but I can't find it...).

I'm using an iMac with Mac OS 10.5.8 as a desktop and a MacBook with 10.6.8 when I travel. I want to transfer my entire Address Book from the MacBook back to my iMac. I have done the reverse multiple times with no problem by simply creating an archive with Address Book (v.4.1.2) and importing it on my MacBook (Address Book v. 5.0.3). But when I do the reverse, the only vcards that show up are the ones I've updated while using my MacBook. All the rest are gone. I know I can recover all the vcards by shift-clicking the entire list and copying them as a file. However, I want to revover all my group lists, which are too many to recreate.

My problem its pretty simple. When I choose "Desktop folder" as destination to import/export in my applications, the entire app freezes.
For example: If i want to open a photo which are in "desktop" with photoshop with the "Open..." option, the "choose destination" pop-up window that appear freezes and I have to Force Quit. If i choose another folder, nothing happens.Â

I have been looking all day for an answer. I am a NuBe on this stuff.
I need to create a text file that contains folder path, file name and attributes such as create date, modified date etc.
I believe the Terminal app should do this.
I recently purchased an MP3 album from Amazon, which downloaded fine. Unlike previous times, however, the Amazon Downloader app didn't load the music into my iTunes library. I tried to manually add the album to my iTunes Library, with no luck. I was able to load the album into my iPhone Music app by dragging and dropping on my iPhone device in iTunes (after turning off iTunes Match).. If I double-click on the songs on my hard drive, they will play in iTunes, but do not import.Â
I am running Mac OS 10.7.3, iTunes 10.6.1 (7) and have iTunes Match active on my computer.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of an app (or an option I'm missing in finder) that might be able to export the names of files in a certain folder (and subfolders, if possible) to a text file. I know how to print a list using applescript, but I'd like to be able to have the list in an editable text file.

I would like to export the audio from a quicktime movie. i have QT 7 Pro. I want to listen to the audio from the movie in my car, on a CD. I tried it a few different ways, as AIFF, another, and it saves a large file but doesn't sound when I play it. No sound. Is there a way to save it so it's audible? These are AVI files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife is blind and the address book with voiceover is a chore. it is easy to get around but to read the info under a card is a pain. I bought her a itouch for Christmas that will get around it better. but it would be good to have a simple txt or word doc type file on the desktop to look at. over the years she has a txt file with the info I put it all in her address book but the file is faster. but it is a mess too.

View 1 Replies View Related An interesting problem that I haven't been able to reconcile through my hosting company so I thought I would post here. I exported a video clip using QT Pro 7.6.4, export for web and uploaded the entire directory and tested for playback on my iPhone 3G 3.1.2:
http://propeller-group.com/Hypnotist/ReadMe.html
(iPhone playback doesn't work and it does not even load the poster image - but desktop playback does work perfectly.)
Then I proceeded to upload the same directory to another site to test for playback:
http://mattlucero.com/Hypnotist/ReadMe.html
(both iPhone and desktop playback methods work perfectly)
So then I proceed to see if the individual files are even playing back on the server that wasn't loading the video on my iPhone: [URL](video plays back fine on the iPhone when hit directly)
This leads me to believe it is an html/scripting error of some kind? But this is the exact same html file generated from QT that has been uploaded to both servers. I have tried using the full URL for the .mov file to no avail. Why would it work on one server and not on another? Is there possibly some issues with the server not being able to interpret the reference file correctly? Or a javascript/server type error? Or is there something else I am missing? I have tried configuring MIME types using a .htaccess file, but I am not sure if this is even the issue as I am able to play back the video fine when hit directly.
