I have just migrated from mobileme to icloud. I now have no calendar on my ipad and only one child's calender (out of three childrens +2 other calendars) shows up on my macbook and entries are changed to wrong days. I have everything on my iphone but do not want to plug it in for fear of losing all data (I do have a back up on an external HD) How do I get all the correct data from my iphone calendar to the ipad and macbook? I have checked discussions and there are many similiar issues but no replies with resolution.

How do I add iCloud to my iMac Mac OS X 10.6.8 desktop? I just transitioned from Mobile me to iCloud. However I can only access iCloud through an internet explorer like Google Chrome or Safari. The mail application provided on Apple's 2009 iMac is connected to my Mobile me account. How do I change my mail application to reflect the new iCloud account?Â

Loaded OS Lion on iMac yesterday and transferred mail from MobileMe to iCloud. Spent hours trying to get mail working on desktop but finally succeeded. Shutting down overnight caused mail to quit working again. However, if I go to iCloud website the mail works OK. I know others have had mail problems with Lion? I've tried just about everything from Apple support.

I haven't been able to figure out why, on my icloud homepage, I don't have the photo stream icon. I've gone through my preferences many times to see if photo stream is checked and it is, and still no icon on the homepage. I'm at a lose.

Ok, so I know that this shouldn't be a problem, but I just wanted to make sure. My sister's Macbook is currently a mess and I want to do an archive and install on her system. She keeps absolutely everything on folders on her desktop. Will the archive and install keep all of her files even if they are in the desktop?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new and have never used a mac other than at school to surf the net. I heard people said you can partition your Window desktop so that it can run Mac OS, is that true? and what do they mean by partition? I have seen desktop that can choose to run either Vista or XP (when u turn on the comp), but can it also have an option to run Mac OS X? if so, how do you do it? instructional videos would be great. And once I get a Mac OS on my non-mac computer, will I be able to use it like it was a iMac?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed parallels 5 desktop onto my macbook pro and am trying to set it up to run win XP. All goes well untill it gets to the part of the windows installation that highlights "installing windows" the everything just stops, and stays stuck on "setup will take approximately: 36minutes" At the very bottom in the grey area it says: "Parallel tools are not installed, when I click to install these, nothing happens!

install desktop version of Snow Leopard on 2010 server? Granted I do buy an external superdrive for it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOne of an ongoing series of issues moving to Lion (whatta workout!). This one involves Mail and iCloud. Porting my MobilMe to iCloud has been problematic - I' ve been asked to do it three or four times, with each time being succesful when viewing through Safari. But now I've realized that the iCloud mail is not being picked up by Mail on my iMac (2009). I go to System Preferences to see if I can do something about it, but iCloud isn't there - just MobileMe.
So I click on MobileMe and (again) it asks me to move everything to iCloud. I do this and some error is generated (can't get it to replicate & don't recall what it was), and I can't sign in - it doesn't recognize my login, although I'm still currently in iCloud via Safari - clear as mud? Yikes. Bottom line: Mail can't get at iCloud mail to download, and sign-in seems broken. In 25 years on a Mac, I've never come across this level of Windows-like challenges.

I want to keep my school files on desktop two so they are all in the same place, and use desktop one as a place to perhaps save photos or other files not school related. When I swipe between desktops, the school files move between the desktops as I swipe but I want to keep them on one desktop all the time.

They're still accessible through finder, but now I can't drag-and-drop anything (at all) to the desktop. It was fine a minute ago before I shut down and rebooted my laptop. Restarts and switching users does nothing. I'm using Mac OSX Lion 10.7.4.

So over the last month or 2, I have been having this issue where my MBP (early 2008) will act as though the desktop doesnt exist. I can see it, everything functions normally, all programs operate fine, I can use spaces, expose, etc, but when I try to interact with my desktop, nothing works. I cant highlight folders, I can click on anything. Anyone know what might be causing this?
