If i search a file in finder and then i want to see what folder and go to that folder how do you do that? In windows you can click the drop down button that shows the entire directory path but there doesnt seem to be any similar function in the finder window. You can click the back button to go back up the tree if you got there by navigating down but if you went directly to the file form a search there doesnt seem to be any way to go up the path.
I would just like to know, on time machine, how do you go back in time to see your Safari history or like for example, webpages you've visited during the previous month. Please tell me where I go step by step to see this and put that history back onto the Safari browser. how to do it on Snow Leopard and do you do it the same way on Lion?
I thought that I would just point out that when I went to watch the iPod touch Guided Tour on Apple's website, this showed up:I would also like to point out that I upgraded to Snow Leopard, I didn't install Quicktime 7, meaning that Apple's own website doesn't support the newest version on Quicktime.
Been trying to dl 10.6.4 combo for the past 3 days and getting max dl speeds of 40-60Kbs. All the usual suspects eliminated: cable modem, router, and traceroute to the server showed no significant lags. All other downloads normal. Sent an email to Apple yesterday, then tried the dl again today. Got this message: "Due to a scheduled upgrade of Apple's support systems, some features of the website are currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience."
I don't know what it is [URL]. For some reason, Safari won't cache any of the images. It works fine in Firefox. Most other sites seem to cache fine. What the heck is going on?
I have a Windows Desktop PC, Windows Laptop and an iMac plus Macbook Pro, on the desktop pc Safari will not open [URL], yet on my Windows Laptop it will! Both are the same version of Safari, I have uninstalled and re installed Safari with no joy.
Does anyone know how to do a clean uninstall of Safari on Windows, because I think that may solve it.
A site that I visit regularly has recently started giving me an error whenever I try to access it. I can get there just fine using the latest Firefox. I've tried emptying the cache and resetting Safari to no avail.
Today, i've been searching about the history of computer viruses and i found a website that made Safari 3.2.1 freeze with an infinite beach ball so i had to force quit it. My Safari has AdBlock enabled and for security reasons i deleted all my cookies.
This is my first post, thanks in advance for any help. Hope I can explain correctly. I don't think my site [URL]actually ever had malware. I (not knowing better) placed a small *.exe file on my site via ftp just to transfer it from home to work. Anyway I think it caused me to get listed with google as having malware etc. (even though it was no type of dangerous file). I registered with googles webmaster tools, deleted it off my site and requested they re-scan it. Well that seams to have worked and all is fine except with Safari. I am still getting the malware notice with Safari only. I have cleared history, emptied the cache, deleted cookies and reset safari. Still getting the message. Sometimes I can open the site fine then click home and it pops up again. I really think my site is completely fine but I cant figure out why its still doing this with Safari. Needless to say this is terrible for business.
Safari (version 5.4.1 and earlier) cannot open the blog on the website[URL]. The webmaster tells me he uses Wordpress for that blog. Is this a known Safari problem (Firefox and Opera open the blog) and if so is there a solution to correct this ? I use an iMac running on Lion.
After the Safari 5.1.4 update, I'm unable to access one particular site, the one that used to be my homepage. Trying to access it causes the browser and OS to freeze up for several minutes. Can't force quit or close. I'm able to access my other 'regular' sites.
The On Line banking website I use, once signed in will not display any account info. It just freezes the screen and I have to exit out - the Bank says it is the latest version of Safari issue but - what could cause this web page freeze?
I have a physician who is trying to logon to a website for his dictations but it autofills his logon information.. He has Autofill checked but unchecked it and it still loads logon information and he cannot change it. He is using a Macbook
Please Help me! Pandora Radio will not load on my Safari browser no matter how much i shut down and what not, I want to reset it but i can't find where to do it!
I tried to link to some websites (example: battle.net) that I was able to link to but failed. It said it cannot open the page because it cannot link to the server. All my other websites are fine.
all of a sudden this mackeeper website keeps opening in safari. It opens even when I click to go to a different web page.I close the window, a new one is always popping up. I want to know if there is a way to permanently get rid of this/stop this from happening? Is it a virus? Should I take my laptop in to get this problem fixed?
When I try to look at the website listed below safari crashes. If I use firefox I can view it. [URL] I have a MacBook Pro 15", Intel Core Duo, 1.83 GHz, 2GB RAM,
So here's what I need. I've never deleted my history from the browser, I did forget my Login name for a website and don't know how to retrieve it. I do remember the password however I can;t remember the login name.
I designed a website that has narration tracks on 23 pages. I used a simple "PlaySound" plugin imbeded in each page. It works just fine in Firefox and Chrome and used to work fine in Safari until I upgraded Safari. Now, in Safari, the narration starts and stops after 4-6 words are spoken on most pages. Some pages will play the entire piece after it pauses for a moment (after 4-6 words) and then continues. I reinstalled Safari and the same thing still happens.
I completed the latest upgrade yesterday and now Safari crashes each time I use it. I have restarted the computer however no change. Here is my error log: Process: [code]
Since upgrading to Lion 10.7.3, Safari no longer sees a mail application, despite Mail being open simultaneously. So I cannot send webpage links using Mail. I can see nothing in with Safari or Mail preferences to link these programs.
just eagerly downloaded the update which supposedly fixed the problem with the "remove website data" from the Safari privacy pane, the one that doesn't work, right, well, it's just the same as it ever was, cookies popping up all over the place, even after deletion. Again, I do not wish to trawl my computer looking for plists or prefs to delete, I just want the "remove all website data" button to work. Any others still experiencing this or is it just me? Has anyone found an answer to this yet?Â
