A site that I visit regularly has recently started giving me an error whenever I try to access it. I can get there just fine using the latest Firefox. I've tried emptying the cache and resetting Safari to no avail.
I formatted a G4 powerbook for an intern at the company with Tiger installed, with all the latest updates. But somehow, our company website won't load in Safari or Firefox. There is internet connection, all other websites on that laptop I've tried works. We have 15 other PCs / OSX and our website works on all of them, except for the powerbook.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a website that I need to open with Safari as it won't display properly in Firefox 3.6.3. From the Address Bar in Safari, I dragged a link to my desktop, right-clicked and checked it to always open with Safari. The name of the link is something like "PITA.webloc"
When it opens that first time, it dose open in Safari, but subsequently, always opens in FF. I also right-clicked to "Get Info" and indicated it to always open with Safari. While "Get Info" shows that correctly, it still always opens in FF.
Sometimes it does load the main page, but very slowly and any link I click starts loading forever but without any success.
Does anyone know what the problem could possibly be? I have already called the site and they told me they are not experiencing problems. In addition, it does load on Windows...
i think it is something in the code... not sure.
i do not know anything about these codes, but i really hope that there is someone out there who can explain it to me, and what i am doing wrong.
I have been having problems with my Safari and firefox. They both say they are up to date. When I use fire fox to look at Hotmail.com, it takes a while to load and when I try to open mail in new tabs, it opens a tab saying "javascript;;".
When I use safari to look at hotmail, it does an infinite loop and stays blank..the URL thingy just goes in loops. I mostly use fire fox, and some times when I go to type, I will get a 10 second delay before my text appears..
For 2 days, I've been unable to access [URL]
I have 2 Macbook Pro's and an iPhone. It won't work on any of them. Also tried Firefox, it won't work on that either.
After the Safari 5.1.4 update, I'm unable to access one particular site, the one that used to be my homepage. Trying to access it causes the browser and OS to freeze up for several minutes. Can't force quit or close. I'm able to access my other 'regular' sites.

I just switched to a Mac and now I cannot get onto the Consumer Reports website because they require Internet Explorer or Firefox as a browser and I am using Safari. What can I do?
View 6 Replies View RelatedFirefox is open, I was wondering what differences anyone has seen between it, and Safari. I have been using Safari with but a few problems for some time. Is there an opinion as to which is better, it at all? I am using it with OS 10.3.6 on two G4's, a Titanium laptop, and a 1.25 dual processor, both with plenty of RAM. There is, however, one specific question. Some sites I can access fully with the laptop, but not with the desktop, even though they are virtually the same hardware & software.
View 39 Replies View RelatedAny way to access these using a Mac? I've run across a few web sites that just say "INTERNET EXPLORER ONLY" and I can't access them from Safari or Firefox. Is there a solution to this?
View 7 Replies View Relatedthe Firefox addons on Mozilla's website work on OSX when using Firefox? I just wanted to make sure since I like using all of the apps on my firefox configuration and was thinking about buying a mac. I know a lot of 3rd party apps that aren't specifically made for Mac at times will not work
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am logged in under a different (old name) because I was just using firefox, and it froze up on me. So, I restarted my computer and Firefox and Handbrake are missing from my dock. VLC is still here, as is the one other program I installed. Using Safari, my user name is now in red, and I can't log in. I just got my mac mini about 10 days ago.
View 9 Replies View RelatedNew to Imac and love it so far. My only issue is that when I open firefox, the text is tiny and I can't seem to modify it. I've played around with fonts under preferences>content but that doesn't help. So far I have to manually hit commant and the + sign to get the text bigger.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI think this is the place for this question,(I just joined.) I am a moderator on a betta fish website for about 2 or 3 months now, but the past 2 weeks I haven't been able to access the website.
[URL] I can get on the site at my friends house, I have tried using my dad's, and my brothers computer but I still can't get on it. I have Restarted Safari, and emptied the Cache. But still won't work.
I was recently able to access a web site until about a week or two ago when the loading bar in safar would load about 1/16 of the way. I am using lion, and using safari as my web browser. I've tried chrome and firefox, still no luck. I can access the site through my iPhone and iPad but not my iMac.

www.directv.com
Tried it with four different Macs, using different OSes, even used Mozilla and iCab. The main page displays. But clicking a link, zero response. Nothing happens. Can't navigate. Didn't have this problem a couple of years ago. I'd love to leave feedback for DirecTV but, as I say, can't even do that. Anything? These guys charge $$ for phone orders, and tell you to just go online. I'm using 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac, 4 GB RAM, OS10.5.8. (But same problem with my laptops, other OSes and non-Safari browsers.
Recently I've been unable to get past the 'maintenance page' of a specific website in order to logon. I've been able to use it without any problems using my macbook pro previously, but now I can't figure out what has changed. I can logon from other computers but its just mine that's not working anymore.

i hava an older powerbook G4 running Mac OS 10.5.8. there is website [URL] which broadcast news and musics. the station is physically located in NY, and some unknown reasons, i am unable to get any radio SOUND from that site. The website works 100% well, without ANY problems whatsoever on ALL and ANY Windows based PC's, but NOT Mac.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few months ago I was persuaded to set-up a "Linkedin" account which I did. To begin with it seemed to be working fine and I steadly started to build up my profile.
But in the past month, whenever I log in, the site just hangs. I either get a blank white page or the browser just never finishes downloading the page.
I've tried Safari 3, Safari 4 Beta, Firefox, Camino and Opera web browsers. I've also fired up Parallels desktop and tried accessing the site through Internet Explorer 7 and the PC versions of Chrome and Firefox. Again, I can't get beyond my Linkedin homepage before the site freezes on me.
I've tried accessing the site on my new iMac, and eMac and iBook on the same network.
I'm using an Airport Extreme base station (UFO type) which is configured to use Open DNS.
I do not have this problem with any other websites and I've done all the basic stuff like deleting cookies, resetting Safari, fixing disk permissions etc. to no avail. Other people I've spoken to (other Mac users) don't seem to have the same problem I do.
Under normal circumstance I would have contacted Linkedin to request technical support, but alas, the contact page wont load!
I am unable to access a website on my macbook (which I used to be able to access) that I am able to access using my iPad and IPhone. I have cleared my history, caches, and everything else I can find. I upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and Safari 8 thinking this would possible solve the problem, but I am having the same issue.
Info:
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
The ClamXav scan found 4 virus/trojan problems and quarantined them. Before I did thid, my keychain keeps popping up asking me if I want to save my password everytime I visit the same web site(s).

I received an odd popup window in Firefox 3.0.8 on a Mac running Leopard 10.5.6
It was:
Firefox wants to use the font "Lucida Sans Unicode" on the volume "NO NAME".
This font is not installed. Allow Firefox to use this font?
Note: Volume "NO NAME" is my Boot Camp XP partition.
Also, in the screenshot it says Firefox3 as I renamed the Firefox app that while testing version 3 while keeping version 2 on the drive.
Does anyone recognize this popup?
Why is FIrefox trying to access my Boot Camp partition?
Why would it need to use a font on a volume?
Can I use Safari as my main web browser and Firefox when Safari isn't supported?

I don't know what it is [URL]. For some reason, Safari won't cache any of the images. It works fine in Firefox. Most other sites seem to cache fine. What the heck is going on?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows Desktop PC, Windows Laptop and an iMac plus Macbook Pro, on the desktop pc Safari will not open [URL], yet on my Windows Laptop it will! Both are the same version of Safari, I have uninstalled and re installed Safari with no joy.
Does anyone know how to do a clean uninstall of Safari on Windows, because I think that may solve it.
I actually just purchased a mac this X'mas.. when I open Safari, there is this address I just can't get rid of [URL]
I have tried to change home page, remove cookies, and run anti virus. NO luck.
And it gets worse.
If I go to facebook, Safari just shut down so fast.
