just eagerly downloaded the update which supposedly fixed the problem with the "remove website data" from the Safari privacy pane, the one that doesn't work, right, well, it's just the same as it ever was, cookies popping up all over the place, even after deletion. Again, I do not wish to trawl my computer looking for plists or prefs to delete, I just want the "remove all website data" button to work. Any others still experiencing this or is it just me? Has anyone found an answer to this yet?
Network Section in Finder shows "nstest.tzo.com". I've never used any service at this address or installed any questionable programs. Has anyone ever seen this sort of thing appear in their networks or know could I get rid of it? Spotlight search shows nothing except the google searches I did once I saw the entry.
I just removed over 1000 cookies. They were bogging the system down to the point of having some pages freeze. I then closed Safari. I launched Safari again a few minutes later and all the cookies were back, even though the only site I went to was the Apple open page.
I opened my safari today and when I was about to type the website that I want to go to I couldn't find the space where you type it at.. I don't know what happened?
Once upon a time, I hit "reply all" to an email sent by a friend. This email had 97 addressees, and now they're in my Mail program. Only about eight of them are people I know. When I sent individual emails to crowdfund recently, I accidentally sent to some of these people, and my friend thought I'd hacked his account. I'd like to see them gone.
In older versions of the OS, I was able to remove email addresses I no longer wanted; now, if I can, I don't know how. There are other addresses I'd like to remove, too.
I want to remove my picture from my email address. When I send an email, my address automatically sends my picture, how do I remove the picture from the address?
I have a MacPro with Snow Leopard. How do I remove "server addresses" where other computers are no longer in existence. When I go to "Go/Connect to Server" I have some addresses which are no longer valid. I can highlight them in the "Favorite Servers" list and hit "Remove" and they will disappear only to come back the next time I open the "Go/Connect to Server". For example, one of the server addresses is "smb://xps630i-PC/ddrive" and was used to link my MacPro to my PC.
I want to remove a card from a group in Address book but the "remove from group" option in my menu is ghosted. I'm not trying to remove from a smart group, just a regular group.
I tried it from INSIDE the group. If I delete by pressing the delete button, the card is removed from the whole address book.
After syncing with iCloud (three computers and a phone) suddenly I am seeing multiple entries for the same contact in the address book and multiple entries in the calendars for the same event. How to stop this and how to delete the multiple entries without having to manually delete each item? The new Address book does noit seem to have a list view that shows the entire address book 9only shows addresses with two or three alphabets. Is there a setting to prevent this from happening? The value of iCloud is lessened when these issues crop up and there seems to be no defined method to fix the problem. I see numerous entries on the Support Community boards with the same problem.
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), iMac Core Duo and MacBook Air Lion
Is there a way to out-right remove the 'Leather' skins that Apple has used with iCal and Address book. We had a client jokingly ask us if we were working on kids computers the other day. Not impressed to say the least. We've read about the hacks floating around in the internet wilds but would prefer a Mac-enabled way of changing this. Why isn't this an option in the app preferences?
I don't know what it is [URL]. For some reason, Safari won't cache any of the images. It works fine in Firefox. Most other sites seem to cache fine. What the heck is going on?
I have a Windows Desktop PC, Windows Laptop and an iMac plus Macbook Pro, on the desktop pc Safari will not open [URL], yet on my Windows Laptop it will! Both are the same version of Safari, I have uninstalled and re installed Safari with no joy.
Does anyone know how to do a clean uninstall of Safari on Windows, because I think that may solve it.
A site that I visit regularly has recently started giving me an error whenever I try to access it. I can get there just fine using the latest Firefox. I've tried emptying the cache and resetting Safari to no avail.
Today, i've been searching about the history of computer viruses and i found a website that made Safari 3.2.1 freeze with an infinite beach ball so i had to force quit it. My Safari has AdBlock enabled and for security reasons i deleted all my cookies.
This is my first post, thanks in advance for any help. Hope I can explain correctly. I don't think my site [URL]actually ever had malware. I (not knowing better) placed a small *.exe file on my site via ftp just to transfer it from home to work. Anyway I think it caused me to get listed with google as having malware etc. (even though it was no type of dangerous file). I registered with googles webmaster tools, deleted it off my site and requested they re-scan it. Well that seams to have worked and all is fine except with Safari. I am still getting the malware notice with Safari only. I have cleared history, emptied the cache, deleted cookies and reset safari. Still getting the message. Sometimes I can open the site fine then click home and it pops up again. I really think my site is completely fine but I cant figure out why its still doing this with Safari. Needless to say this is terrible for business.
Safari (version 5.4.1 and earlier) cannot open the blog on the website[URL]. The webmaster tells me he uses Wordpress for that blog. Is this a known Safari problem (Firefox and Opera open the blog) and if so is there a solution to correct this ? I use an iMac running on Lion.
After the Safari 5.1.4 update, I'm unable to access one particular site, the one that used to be my homepage. Trying to access it causes the browser and OS to freeze up for several minutes. Can't force quit or close. I'm able to access my other 'regular' sites.
The On Line banking website I use, once signed in will not display any account info. It just freezes the screen and I have to exit out - the Bank says it is the latest version of Safari issue but - what could cause this web page freeze?
I have a physician who is trying to logon to a website for his dictations but it autofills his logon information.. He has Autofill checked but unchecked it and it still loads logon information and he cannot change it. He is using a Macbook
Please Help me! Pandora Radio will not load on my Safari browser no matter how much i shut down and what not, I want to reset it but i can't find where to do it!
I tried to link to some websites (example: battle.net) that I was able to link to but failed. It said it cannot open the page because it cannot link to the server. All my other websites are fine.
