OS X Yosemite :: Paypal Emails For Notification Of Payment - Do Not Print Properly
Dec 4, 2014
Paypal emails for notification of payment - do not print properly - I get a page break after the header info - and in some cases I cannot print the body of the email even though it displays. This has been an on going issue for months - PAYPAL will not pursue.
We use Paypal to print off and pay for postage labels. Usually there are 2 or 3 pages depending on the country the label is for. Unfortunately, we don't need the customs label or the insurance page, so 2 out of 3 pages are a waste of ink and time and unfortunately again, these 2 unecessary pages have a habit of printing out first..Until I installed Snow Leopard last year. And magically the print order reversed and I was able to get my label off and cancel the rest.I got a new printer this week, and it's printing back in the old order Totally miffed. Anyway to affect the label order? It's going to save so much trouble
Im relatively new to mac, and I am building my own website on iWeb and im planning on trying to sell some of my own photos. I am going to set up a paypal account and am wondering how I can get it so people can pay me through paypal via a link on my Site.
i have just purchased a MacBook Pro off a friend and so it has recently been restored to factory settings and upgraded to yosemite. I use eBay a lot but have discovered there is no app for eBay. Then i found out you can get notifications from Safari. I know eBay is one of the websites the websites supported but the prompt pop-up isn't appearing when I'm on the website. I'm logged in too.
My notification pop up within os x is not displaying font correctly and instead showing font with this format "[A]" and don't know what to do. I have messaged apple.

Why can't I open and answer an instant imessage notification using just one key(such as enter key)? If I shouldn't, what's the use of answering right from notification? I can instead, move my mouse to the app, right?
I have iMessage/SMS forwarding turned on on my MacBook pro. When I type a new message, it allows me to search by contact name, however when I select a contact, the name disappears and Messages only shows the contact number. When I get a notification, the contact name shows, but the Messages window still only shows the contact number. iCloud is turned on and contacts are syncing.
I've seen several replies that say to go to "details" in the Message account tab, but once I enter my password there, it doesn't show me anything new. I don't use Messages on my Mac very often, but I'd like to try to solve this issue.

my imac running 10.5.8 will not print some pdf documents properly. In particular sheet music will only print as horizontal and vertical lines - the symbols and notes do not print. The 'print preview' shows all the symbols and notation correctly.
This occurs in both Adobe Acrobat (v10.1.3) and Preview (v 4.2 - 469.5).
Printer in use is a HP 2600n connected via USB cable.
This is a problem I am having with Thunderbird and Mail. For some reason I just do not get mails ontime
For example, if I get an email from say Youtube, it won't appear in my Mail.app inbox AT ALL. But if I go to Gmail I will see it in there. This happens for about 3/10 emails, so at the moment it's not the majority, but it is certainly annoying
Secondly Thunderbird just doesn't want to connect to my Gmail at all, not too sure why, and I have done step by step instructions, but Thunderbird refuses to get any mail at all. but really and truely I'd rather have the Mail.app working properly
I recently upgraded my dad's system from Snow Leopard to Lion, and it went without a hitch, however he's noticed now that Mail is no longer finding emails that it should be. For example, when he would type in Mark in the search (scope: all) in Snow Leopard, he'd have at least 100 emails show up from mark@address, however now in Lion the result returns only 2 recent emails (scope: all). I played around with it for a bit -- but I couldn't get it working. Here's what I tried:
I typed in the name of the person and still only two came up. I tried the email address, and still only two came up. It doesn't matter whether what's being searched for is a part of the person's name, email address, subject, to, from, or message, it's just not coming up. Again, scope was set to all, i.e, inbox, sent, etc.
Worked perfectly on Snow Leopard. Doesn't work at all on Lion? Dad should be able to type in "Mark" and see the hundred or so emails sent to or from mark@address.com, etc., and this is happening with all his previous emails. He types in things and stuff just doesn't come up anymore. He's on a Mac Pro running the latest version of Lion.
The Yosemite overview states that I can answer and initiate calls. I can do neither. I have an IPhone 4S w/IOS 8.1.1. I have unlocked my phone and the results are the same.
I have a Canon LBP6000 laser printer. I downloaded the Yosemite driver from Canon after updating to Yosemite, and the printer worked up until a few days ago. Now, I can't print. The printer status monitor says "printing" with a status bar, but nothing happens.
I have tried remedies such as deleting all printer drivers, deleting the printer, resetting the printer system, restarting the computer, reinstalling the printer, resetting PRAM, updating to 10.10.1. Nothing has worked so far. It was working fine a few days ago!
I'm on a 2008 MacBook OS X 10.10.1.

Ever since updating to Yosemite, I have noticed an odd behavior from the menu bar. When I switch between apps, the menu bar doesn't always change. Like right now, the menu bar says "System Preferences..." and shows all the menus for System Preferences, but when I select a menu, the proper one drops down. how I can get my menu bar to display the proper menus?

When I receive an iMessage on my iPhone, the message is successfully pushed to my Mac and I get a notification in Notification Center. That's fine. However, when I launch Messages either by clicking the notification when it appears or by opening the app, no conversations appear (window displays "no conversations selected") and after a while it just leaves me with a blank window and only minimize / fullscreen enabled. The majority of options on the dropdown menus are also greyed out.
Considering that the messages themselves are successfully getting pushed to my Mac, I don't think it's an account issue. It seems as though the app is getting hung up trying to load up my conversations.
I originally had this issue on 10.10.0 so I thought that it may have been a bug and updated to 10.10.1. It only started happening a few days ago, I've been running Mac OS 10.10.X since several days after launch with no issues.
my txt messages sent from my mac is going to another country. the two numbers in my messaging app (left or bottom)are the same person with same number,(which is why i showed it in contacts app) but somehow i get my message through a different tab (without+86) when i receive and if i reply to that nameless tab, my message goes to US (it automatically adds 00s behind the number).
when I start up my computer, it starts loading and gets about a 1/4 of the way along then stops and brings up a blank screen that is sometimes flashing or just blank
Image Capture 6.6 for the Mac worked fine with my iPhone 4S, which I recently replaced with an iPhone 5C. With the 5C, two things are missing from Image Capture--
1) the small button with the red strike through circle to delete photos
2) the box you can check to delete photos after importing them.
Since installing Yosemite, when my Mac Pro comes out of sleep, I get a "Disk not ejected properly" for each disk drive attached by Thunderbolt 2. This all worked fine on Mavericks.
(I have a similar problem with my dual displays, which again worked fine on Mavericks - I've posted this on a different thread under Mac Pro).

I cannot print any of my emails as it just gives me a solid grey screen as in the icloud start up. Does anyone have a solution? I need to print my boarding passes and other things.

Since I upgraded to Yosemite my Mail has gone amok. Emails show up directly in Archive, instead of for instance Inbox or Sent. Some sent emails don't show up in any mailbox at all, but apparently they reach the recipient.
How can I delete the Archive mailbox? It works totally different than how it is described in manuals. I have NEVER moved any email to Archive, but it is full of all sorts of emails from all the other mailboxes. I want ALL my received emails in the Inbox and my sent emails in the Sent box.

Seems many have similar problems but not quite the same.
I've upgraded to the latest Mac OS. Since then I can seem my Virginmedia (Gmail) emails. They are there and q quick workaround is to do a search on "@" and hey presto.
When i select a portrait photo the preview on the right shows the correct orientation, but when i click print the full print preview (and then the printout) has turned to landscape trimming the top and bottom off the photo. This has only happened since Yosemite.
