May 28, 2009I have a Canoscan 4400F which is not recognised by my MBP (early 2008) or my iMac (early 2007). (Error message is 'Unable to find driver'.) Despite installing various drivers which are supposed to be Leopard compatible, no luck so far.
Does anyone know of a driver which will work, or alternatively if I have to replace, a recommend a reasonably priced scanner which is Leopard compatible. Scanner will primarily be used for scanning documents for archiving and old photo prints for adding to iPhoto.

May 22, 2012I have just purchased a Macbook Air and would like to use it with my Fujitsu fi6110 scanner. Fujitsu does not have a driver for this scanner so I was wondering if anyone has experience with this. Fujitsu suggested asking Apple or trying ScanTango. They have a program that is compatible with the scanner for $99 but it is not as good (to me) as Adobe scan program on my PC.

I have downloaded it from Canon then open the package click the install and it asks for a location namely the Applications folder. Then it says it has been installed re -start etc, but still no driver.I am using Mac OS 10.6. Any suggestions greatly received. I have repaired/disk and permissions and it still does not work.

HP Photosmart 5510 Is Not Seen By IMac In Wireless Mode
Jun 18, 2012my current HW configuration is the following:iMac Intel 21" Lion (latest update)modem router Asus DSL-N10HP Photosmart 5510 all-in-one..My problem is that my Mac can not 'see' the Photosmart in wifi mode and hence can not configure it as default printing and scanning device.The iMac can 'see' the router and so does the printer.What's more, I can open the HP configuration panel by typing its IP address in Safari (and this in wifi mode).Needless to say, both OSX and the HP drivers are at thier latest update.

Dec 3, 2014I have a MacBook Pro running on OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite. I installed a HP Officejet 4620 connected through WLAN, the printer works but cannot make the scanner work. I installed the printer connecting via WLAN. The system automatically downloaded the right driver set.
Later I installed the HP device driver downloaded from HP. After rebooting network, printer and PC the scanner worked.The fun was short lived. Three days later I could not scan. I get following error message:Scanner reported an error..HP Officejet 4620 series is currently unavailable. Please check if it is turned on and connected, or try again later.
Of course the printer is turned on and it is connected to the WLAN. I rebooted network, printer and PC. Still does not work.According the the Apple support page the printer is supported on OS X 10.10. On the HP support pages it is not listed.which printer/scanner product works reliable with OS X even after a release update.

Jan 23, 2010I downloaded the latest drivers from the HP site. I can direct the printer to print a "test" page, and it prints out an Excel Spreadsheet without problems. However, it won't print a GMail email from Safari and it won't print an email from OSX Mail. It seems like it is going through the motions for over a minute then releases a blank page. And get this, the same GMail page that wouldn't print from my Gmail on Safari does print fast and easy from Firefox.

Jan 3, 2010We just purchased a HP Officejet 6500 Wireless printer for our home and currently have one desktop, and 2 laptops running windows xp. These machines have no problems connecting to the wireless printer. My G4 PB running 10.4.11 on the other hand has issues. The software says it is compatible with my Mac setup. I run through the HP Starter CD and install all drivers, when the installation is complete it says everything went fine. I have the printer installed and can choose to print with it. But when I do, I get the following. I have deleted and reinstalled a couple of times with out any success. Sorry for the huge photo, but it was kind of necessary to see everything, and I wasn't sure how to make it so you can click on it and enlarge.

Sep 1, 2014Used to have no problem connecting my MacBook Air to my HP OfficeJet 7410 via wifi and printing things. Now, the printer utility seems to connect to the printer with the print job, but then it only downloads 50% of the job and freezes? It even starts printing that 50% of the job before the freeze. And then nothing.

May 21, 2012I recently bought a Hp OfficeJet pro 8600 plus printer and have set it up fine on my desktop pc. When I went to install it on my MacBook it wont let me set it wirelessly because it states that The wireless network settings were successfully downloaded to your device. However, your Mac was unable to locate the device on the network.
Please make sure that:
- Your Mac is connected to a wired or wireless network that has access to your device.
- Your device is connected to the wireless network "home".
Click "Retry" to attempt to connect again using the current settings. Click "Go Back" to enter different settings. The weird part is that everything is set up fine as far as the printer it seems that the mac doesn't want to cooperate. I am running OS X Lion with the newest downloads and updated.

Jul 3, 2012We are trying to install/update to the NVIDIA 270.00.00f06 driver for the PNY Quadro FX4800 for Mac on our MacPro 3,1 with OSX 10.7.4. The system tells us "No Driver Update Needed for this System", and will not allow driver to be installed. Can anyone advise if the current driver is automatically installed or provided by Apple Updates. If not can you provide proper instructions on how to properly update the driver. Also how can we confirm what driver version is currently installed.
