Applications :: Restore Stickies Database Back To Previous Date?
Dec 2, 2009At the beginning of November I opened my stickies and a song I had been working on was gone. I have had data recovery attempt to find the lost stickie, but 1) it was not saved as a text file, 2) it is no longer in the stickies database, and 3) I do not currently have time machine. Basically, everyone told me I was screwed except the top of the line place in California who wants to charge me $1500 to just attempt to get it back, with no gurantee. Is there anyway I can recover a deleted stickie? Or is there anyway to restore the stickies database/my computer back to a date when I know the stickie there?

Jul 17, 2009So I took an account photo when i recently installed leopard at the start up...when it's creating the account and all of that stuff...
I was messing around with Photo Booth, and clicked the account photo button, and it replaced the old one that i like with a new one...
How can i get my old one back? where was it located? I have made time machine backups, so maybe if i knew where the old photo is stored at, i could retrive it?

Dec 25, 2010I went to open my itunes and it said "itunes needs a library to open" then it would only let me choose a library that was dated to last july. I clicked on it and it opened my library from that date. I am really mad because it will now only open that library and im missing almost a thousand songs that have been downloaded since then. Why can i only open a previous library? Are all the songs, movies, and other settings that i have changed in the last 6 months gone?

Windows On Mac :: Get Back Lost Data/lost All Hard Drive Partitions After Windows Update?
Jun 26, 2010I just booted into Windows and saw that there were some Windows Updates available and it asked me to reboot the computer however it failed to boot into Windows. So I restarted and tried to boot into OS X instead, but that didn't work either.
So I put in the OS X install DVD and checked out Disk Utility. Turned out that all my partitions where screwed up. There were 3 partitions listed as Windows_ldm, with incorrect sizes (I had 4 partitions before).
Long story short: I'm now reinstalling OS X and I lost everything I had on the drive, I think. I'll try some restore software once I've gotten OS X installed.
A little pissed right now... How the heck can Windows F up the entire drive?

And the search string will still be right in the window where I typed it. But sometimes after going to a link, I'll come back to this page and the page will be the same, but the search string is from a previous search. This is an inconvenience as I frequently go back to edit the search. I can't seem to reproduce it at the moment.

Jul 17, 2009I switched on my UMB (late 2008), and when I logged into the desktop, there popped a message box stating, "date has been changed to xx/xx/2001 and applications depending on the date may malfunction"
When i checkd the "Date and Time" settings in the sys preferences, it was showin Jan 01 2001. Since it automatically updates the date n time frm apple server, it immediately took today's date n time and everything else is working fine now.
But, am curious about why this actually had to happen? I hadnt changed the date n time when i had shut it down last night. What could be the issue here? Is my macbook unable to remember date and time? or Something like BIOS battery is dead?

Jan 30, 2009I didn't put the my documents folder in the trash can and empty the trash. I accidentally took it off the dock, so I went into Macintosh HD in order to put it back on the dock. I went under the "my places" tab and clicked and dragged the my documents tab, but I accidentally let go of the icon before it got to the dock and it disappeared.
