Aug 26, 2010I am using plex, and I want to know where the FrontRow Movies and TV Shows images are. They are not in FrontRow's package contents. If anyone knows where these images are, or where to find them online.

Feb 3, 2012I have an external hard drive connected to my Time Capsule that is loaded with a bunch of VIDEO_TS folders of all my DVDs, and I have that drive aliased in my "Movies" folder on my MacBook Pro, so when I open Front Row, it points to my external HDD, and everything is hunky-dory. But I also have other files in this HDD (a bunch of JPG files) that are also being seen by Front Row. For reasons that are too boring to get into, I don't want to separate the files into different locations, I would like to keep them together. But my goal is to be able to somehow block Front Row from seeing these JPG files and just display the list of my DVDs instead. Is there any way to tell my alias to block out the JPGs, or some way to hide the JPGs from that particular alias, or something along those lines?

Feb 1, 2010I use Front Row most days to watch TV shows and movies. But some of my TV shows seem to be in the Movies section? And in the TV section some of the shows say Various. But in iTunes they are all perfectly categorized. How can this be fixed?

Jul 5, 2012I have in the past downloaded my movies from my Canon Legria FS21 movie camera. Now I went to download the movies and they won't.
I asked some Chinese people at the local Apple Shop, but their English is like my Chinese, good for general conversation but not for computer language. All I got out of them is that I can't download them.
The files in Finder show on the card as PRC001>MOV00A.MOD, MOV00A.MOI. The file name changes the last digit with each scene, but all have the MOD and MOI ending. Now I have no idea what that means. way of getting those movies into iMovie?

Sep 17, 2009I have a new MBP that came with Snow Leopard and I use it mostly for internet and iTunes for videos. I've noticed that watching videos through Front Row does not update the last played and play counts in iTunes. They just show as partially watched with half a blue dot.
I'm wondering how many other people have this happening as well.Did your computer come with Snow Leopard? Did you upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard?

Feb 10, 2012I upgraded to Lion and sadly, Front Row is not supported. I somehow found the Front Row app in my systems folder and moved it to my Applications folder. Front Row now shows up in my applications folder, as well as Launchpad. However, when I go into Front Row, it does not recognize any of my media from iTunes. Feb 3, 2012I have a directory of H.264/M4V files on an external HDD that I use in iTunes.I do this - without copying the files themselves - by simply dragging and dropping the contents of the directory into iTunes Movies.
HDD/H.264/(select all) -----drag into-----> iTunes/Movies
What I'm wondering however is - Can I get iTunes/Movies to AUTOMATICALLY update, when new items are added to this external folder on HDD/H.264? It hasn't been autoupdating thus far.Simply selecting ALL again HDD/H.264/(select all) and drag copying to iTunes/Movies DOES however add the new titles. Of course this has to be done every time I add something new.

Mar 20, 2007That's twice this week I've tried watching downloaded HD trailers through Quicktime and both times they've been stuttery and unwatchable.
Very annoying. Is it likely just the PowerBook or something else rotten in Denmark? Smaller trailers play fine.

I want to develop an client application which when configured with an RSS url, it should automatically display the subjects available in the URL. Something like Vienna.
I dont know as to how to go about developing this application in MAC with XCode 10.6.3.

Power Mac G5 :: Dual 2 GHz Won't Smoothly Play 720 Or 1080 HD Quicktime Trailers?
Nov 29, 2009Dual Processor Power Mac G5 2 GHz with 4 GB of RAM
I could have sworn that my G5 used to be able to play all levels of HD movies smoothly as anything sometime during normal Tiger usage.
Then one day, I noticed my G5 when on Tiger would stutter playing anything about 480.
I thought the upgrade to Leopard would fix this. But just today I upgraded to 10.5.3 on this G5 (I used the upgrade option on the install DVD to upgrade from Tiger) and it STILL won't play HD trailers 720 or 1080 smoothly.
is this supposed to be? Do I not have the minimum requirements to watch those kinds of resolutions anymore?
I know this machine is 4 years old now, but seriously? That seems crazy to me.
Does anyone else have this configuration and see similar or different behavior?

Feb 18, 2010Other than Safari, what do you use as an RSS reader? I played with Newsfire but something just didnt fee right about it. I like Safari, but I think its feed updating can be hit and miss.
