I use a thumbdrive in my mac often and always scan it after using it on a PC I plugged it into my computer running windows 7 and kaspersky, it detected a trojan immediately. Is there a good virus protector for Mac, not such as for it but so i can get rid of sharing the PC viruses around?

MacBook Pro :: Can't Remove Mac-keeper And Now Clamxav
Jun 25, 2012I deleted the startup commands from the LaunchDaemon folder, restarted. Went back, FOLDER IS GONE!Downloaded Clamxav. It crashed. I deleted it. It had 400 plus items to remove! Console now says timers set, loops closed, target class NSA applications?  Dropbox is being affected, HERE's WHAT'S COMING UP. Â

Feb 10, 2012Also, I think I downloaded an old version of Messenger for Mac.
It probably have no sort of malware or viruses but assuming it may have, does the "sandboxing" technique by Apple prevent any malware from interfering with my mac. And does deleting tha old version clear any malware associated with it as well?Â

Jul 5, 2012I've been using ClamXav for a couple years, but after I updated my software to Mac OSX 10.6.8, it doesnt run properly and quits everytime I try to start a scan. I've uninstalled it & reinstalled it a few times & added a quarentine folder, but am not sure what to do at this point.

Mac OS X Lion Server :: Re-installed Lion 10.7.3, But Not Able To Login Anymore?
Mar 25, 2012I have a Mini Server, 10.7.3. 8GB, SSD 256, use it for FCPX mostly. Just moved all datafiles to external disks and re-installed Lion, but now I cannot access my user account. When I started up the system after it had installed, it asked me for company name and email address, but then I cannot access my user account any more.
Do I need to re-install the system again, or how can I solve this? I don't remember what email address I used originally when I got the server and registered it, whether it was my personal or the business address, which I gave this time. Â
I do remember the login name and password that I have always used, but these don't work anymore and I have too many jobs pending this week.

Jun 5, 2012Ever since I have upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard, sometimes MacBook Pro doesn't shutdown or restart. I choose shutdown or restart it logs me out then there is the gray screen with the turning little dotted circle and it doesn't reboot or turn off, so I have to hold the power button and manually turn it off.

Apr 3, 2012Yesterday I installed the latest update of iPhoto 9.2.3 on my MacBook pro running 10.7.3 To my surprise I cannot access iPhoto anymore and get the error log (as hereunder) and the warning that I may have to reinstall the application. I live quite remote and have to drive 1,5 hours to the nearest Apple store and i feel that I should be able to solve this.for now I do not understand how to reinstall if all software was updated.Â
