View 6 RepliesI have the rev. C Air, recently bought. It works fine but I have noticed that when I tilt the screen back almost all of the way that the front left side lifts slightly off the desk. I can see that the front left pad is not touching the desk. Is this an idiosyncrasy of the computer? Do others have the same symptom? Of course once I place my hands on the computer and start typing it's not really a problem, but I can certainly feel it click down to the desk or if I lift my hands off and slightly push down there is a space there. I think it is a weight issue, because once I pull the screen slightly towards me the space disappears as well as the issue.

I have recently upgraded from a 24" iMac to a 27". The screen is great, but after a few hours of work (this is my work machine), my eyes really begin to bother me.Has anyone out there tried using their iMac without the front glass sheet over the LCD? What does the LCD look like?I don't have any children around, so I'm not worried about the screen being scratched or damaged -- but if course I would eventually need to clean it just to remove the dust build up.
View 24 Replies View RelatedMy iMac slipped out of my hands and kissed the ground while I was moving it from my car into my new house. The hardware is still intact but there are a lot of scratches and a big crack in the corner which I don't find aesthetically attractive.
I made some research and found a couple of auctions on front bezels for the iMac G5 17", with or without iSight. I myself have an Intel iMac (Imac 5,1) so my concern is if the front bezel for "iMac G5 17" with iSight" will fit my Intel iMac?
i am currently on my imac 5.1 intel core 2 duo 2.16ghz. my 2 year old son managed to change my screen into negative color this includes everything from start up picture to screensaver to photo booth to skype etc etc etc. i have tried everything to get my screen back to normal and can't do it hoping you have any idea on how to fix this

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave spent many years with PCs, I can't get used to the speed of the cursor in the programs I use - web forms, emails, Pages etc. I don't mean the blink rate - I know how to change that. I mean the speed at which I can scan across lines of text. The cursor seems slower than my xp machines. What setting might I have missed? I don't recall being able to change the rate of movement across the lines in an xp machine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy iMac is running 10.5.8. When I play music from within iTunes the volume is far lower than if I use front row (I make no changes to the volume level manually). Is there a setting somewhere I need to change to bring the iTunes level up to the same as the level when using front row? Internal speakers are being used, not external ones.

Everytime I sign facebook, it is keep delay delay and can't enter the front page. I check up cookies, try facebook widget, and trying to solve and nothing happen yet. It is strange that mobile facebook works. I prefer laptop. I only have mac 10.3.9 and using safari and firefox.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased a new imac 27" but noticed that the glass screen on the front did not fit flush on the left side to the aluminium unit. The overhang could be quite clearly seen from front and back and running your finger along it confirmed it stuck out with a resultant slightly sharp corner to the bottom right.I arranged for the return and replacement of the unit and a new one arrived today, I have not yet seen it myself, but my partner said it seems to have the same problem only this time on the right hand side! He also seems to think the hard drive is far more audible on this replacement.Has anyone else had similar issues? I don't know whether we are just being too fussy, but I've not seen it like this in the shops and for ?1649 I want it to be right!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had some disk errors (Missing thread record) on the 2GB drive in my Imac i7. After repairing with Diskwarrior the problem reoccurred after a few days.
I did bad block test and everything was OK, so I was thinking it maybe was the OS (10.6.2) causing the error.
I DL the 10.6.2 combo update,to do a reinstall but the installer won't let me install "Mac OS X Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update" -any suggestions?
My imac G5 is stuck on the loading page. It won't load and I don't know what to do.

My parents iMac is getting the beachball after about 5 minutes online on any browser (AOL, Safari, and Firefox) but every other Mac in the house is loading fine. The iMac is on Snow Leopard and was bought in July of 2008.

Safari won't load page on family imac. This is limited to our main account as it works fine on Guest. Have tried reinstalling safari, deleting the cache, resetting safari. No Sucess.

I tried to do a disk repair in Recovery Mode which didn't work (said it needed a disk repair but could not repair and that I should backup everything). So then I tried to quit out of recovery and restart by choosing the Mac OS HD...it won't restart...it just keeps giving me the Recovery options front page. What should I do?
