I can´t update my software for 4 months , I need to install Java but I can´t. It just doesn´t work.
When I try to update it , it says that there are not any new softwares. What should I do to fix it?

With Google Chrome and Safari facebook does not react anymore. Chrome gives server error Safari is blank.

View 5 Replies View RelatedNormally when I put a DVD or cd in my DVD player it starts automatically but sins this week it doesn’t work anymore.
When I put a DVD in the player I hear the DVD spinning but after a while it stops and nothing further happens.
When I starts up DVD player and try to play the DVD an message appears that no supported disc available is.
I can't watch videos anymore, on any site (youtube, facebook...). I hear the sound, but the browser (Safari, Firefox, Opera, Chrome) locks in place. I reinstalled Flash Player multiple times. I updated everything there is to update. Still can't watch videos. This happened overnight from March 30 to April 1.

I can't view pdf files from my iMac anymore. I tried it with 3 different browsers-Safari, Frefox, and Camino and it made no difference except that with Safari I got a black webpage and with the others just a blank page. I uninstalled Adobe Reader and reinstalled it it but that didn't help. I've enable cookies on all the browsers.

I bought this computer new on Friday last week. I only got it back from a data transfer yesterday.
Everything was fine until my screen grayed out and said I have to shut down the computer. I shut it down and now it won'tturn back on. I can here the hard drive and fan spin but there is nothing happening on the monitor.

My Imac (mid 2007 snow leopard) doenst connect to wifi any more. it used to work but is seems broken. (nothing changed at the network) It doens recognize networks but when ik try to connect it times out.
I tried serveral networks, even removed te password protection of the net works but it doens connect. I tryed the hardware test by pressing D at start up but it dint gave any errors..
My macbook pro connects normally and all by other wifi devices work fine..

I have an iMac (Intel mid 2011) 21.5", Facebook used to work OK. After updating Safari to Ver. 5.1.7. (6534.57.2), Facebook is not displaying correctly, I get a white unformated screen and a partial display of the information shows on the left side of screen (10%). I'm using OSX Ver. 10.6.8.. Suddenly about 5days ago, Safari suddenly stopped loading my homepage, uk.yahoo.com - which has been my Homepage for years.I thought it was perhaps a Yahoo problem, but apparently not, as Safari loads any other page from my favorites etc without any hitch, meaning its clearly not an ISP problem either.I did find a thread that suggested un-ticking the 'Restore Windows' box in the General section in System Preferences, (not Safari Preferences), but I cant see a General tab in System Preferences?Additionally, I have deleted Safari, and reinstalled it, but problem still exists.I'm running OS X 10.5.8 and Safari version 5.0.6.

My 2006(ish) Intel core 2duo 2.16 mhz 20" imac wont start up, it only stays at the loading screen, how can I fix this? I have tried:
• safe mode reboot
• restart using p, r , command and option (resetting the pram)
• restart using the original Mac OS 10.4 disc
• restart so I get the image of the HD but I can't click on it to continue and restart again! • single user mode (CMD+s keys at bootup, and then /sbin/fsck -fy)
It just doesn't do anything else than display the grey screen, the apple and the spinning wheel (sometime, I do get a scrolling bar also!). I managed to perform a hardware test from the Mac OS disc and there seems to be no hardware problem. Nothing works.It stays stuck on the grey screen, with the apple and the wheel turning endlessly.

Mac OS Lion came out a while ago, and I just assumed my computer updated to that, but when I check my computer details it said that I was only up to Snow Leapord (10.6)?!I try doing the Software Update, and it says no updates are available? Do I have to purchase Lion to update to 10.7.3? Some of my Developer apps won't run on 10.6 that I am on so it is crucial that I update.

I tried to apply the firmware update to the Intel X25-M SSD on my 09 MP yesterday.
