**Bonus Challenge: Can I redirect him to, say, a page on my own domain that will let him know that he is busted?
These are my specifications:
OS: 10.4
Browser: Safari
Connection: DSL
Network: Hard-wired ethernet, connected to network printer but not to any other computers on the network.
I have a site that I made with iWeb on my iMac. Now I have a second Mac, a Mini, and I am trying to use it to work on my site but I can't figure out how to access the current site with iWeb. All it seems to want to do is create new sites. My site is saved to the "Sites" folder on my hard drive, and uploaded to my MobileMe space. Yet there doesn't seem to be any way to open the site, from either location, with iWeb on the Mini.
View 7 Replies View Relatedjust got a new Mac Pro and I need to transfer my iWeb site over, but am having absolutely no luck doing so. The older iWeb site was created on iWeb 2.0 and is uploaded to my MobileMe account and everything.
I created my website in iWeb '08 about a year ago and it's finally time to update it, but I'm running into a few problems.First, I'm using a new computer now, although I transferred all of the files from one HD to the other. When I go to open iWeb on my MacBook, I can't access my old site. I never worked on my site from my new computer, but I have all the files. I have the actual files (such as .jpgs and mp3s) in an organized folder. The website itself and all the information is in the folder that I upload via FTP to my server. How do I get to open all of those in iWeb so that I can edit the site?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI been googling and searching for an answer for this question...and all of them say to go through the router. But I was just wondering if there is a way to block computers from using my wireless? Here is the deal. I have a router set up which uses a WPA password. I live in a apartment building so I gave the password to some of my close friends to use. I monitor who is on my network through just looking at the "shared" section on my finder window. I can tell which computers belong to my friends, but every once in a while, an unknown computer pops up. I believe I have seen 3 unknown computers (PC's) - and they do not use the net frequently. I would like to block these computers when they come up. Is there a way to do this without going into the router settings and adjusting those protocols?

View 7 Replies View RelatedAnyone out here using [URL] successfully? I have not been able to access the site for over 3 weeks. I keep getting an error message when trying to access the webmail:
"ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.
Query: CAPABILITY"
Nor am I able to get a hold of support (email bounces back). If anyone that is successfully using [URL:..] could you send an email to support telling them that numerous users are not able to access the the mail server. I guess this is provided that they haven't hung it up.

Some of them are old IM conversations, but others I have no idea what they are. I ran a virus scan, and it skipped over quite a few things. I'd rather just be safe and have everything checked.

I managed to get Site2Site VPN working between two different networks/office buildings using the guide from apple.com. One network server/gateway is 192.168.0.1 and the other is 192.168.1.1, everything works, every client can see every client and every client can see every serverSo far so good. But what I can't do is ping from Mac server one (192.168.0.1) to the other mac server on the other network (192.168.1.1) and vice versa. The VPN Site2Site option is great and very easy to set up, I only need to resolve this last?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need a plug-in/add-on/application that will block certain websites I want at certain times. For example, block Youtube and Facebook from 4-6PM. Preferably these settings would be difficult or impossible to change once in place, haha. I want to be strict and not let myself procrastinate during the upcoming school year and I think this is the only way to actually do it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently purchased a Macbook pro and have downloaded firefox as my web browser. I installed the add-on adblock pro, and it is without a doubt 100% ineffective; I view web pages and when I place the mouse on top of the icon it tells me it is active, however below it notifies me that it has blocked 0 out of 150 or however blockable items on the given page. I mean absolutely nothing is prevented, I found a similar add on for safari, and the same results, nothing blocked. I must be doing something completely wrong, or something so blatantly obvious, but I really am clueless.
