Using Daniel's Plug-In I am running my hotmail address on OS X Mail. However, there's an option in Hotmail called "Send and receive mail from other e-mail accounts". Can I do this on OS X Mail through Hotmail?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my Mac, I added two email addresses (both Gmail server but different "@ portions" i.e. @gmail.com and @___.org). I've deleted the @___.org email because it didn't matter whether I sent it from one email or the other, they both end up in sent items of mny @___.org email. So even replies from my [URL] address gets sent to the other email.I've deleted the other email and I'm pretty sure I didn't link the two accounts on Gmail so I'm not sure what's happening.

Maybe I'm a dumbass and missed something obvious, but in Leopard Mail, in the New Message window, there's a drop-down menu where you can choose which email to send the message from. But in Snow Leopard, the drop-down menu's not there, and I can't figure out how to choose which email address I want the message to be sent from. The only way I could do it is to click a message sent to that email address, then click New Message, the message will then send from that email address.
Many records in my address book have multiple email addresses. No big deal but I wonder if there is a way to tell Address Book / Mail which address to pick as the default.
For example I send a litttle news email one a week to a group of contacts. I want to send this email to people's personal -- not business -- email address. I've created a group in Address Book and type that group name in my Mail to line and the group pops up. But a few of the records pick the corporate address and I have to go in and change those addresses.
I just tried editing one record ... I deleted both "work" and "home" addresses from a record. Then reentered them "home" first, "work" second. But when I closed the edit Address Book listed them in the original order (maybe alpha).

I just deleted all my e-mail accounts and created a new one but when i reply some of the emails keep being sent from the old account. I looked everywhere to find some setting linked to that old account but i can't find it.For example:
[url]...
and when i reply from the second one sometimes it's being sent from [url]..and this adress isn't in my accounts anymore.

I have a mobileme account with a further 3 names added using mail only. Because of legacy I cannot move to OS Lion at the moment. Can we still use our mac.com/me.com email addresses after June without signing up to icloud. If one or more of the email only account holders update to Lion and icloud, can they transfer their emai accounts without the main account holder doing so. If we all have other apple devices ie iphone and ipads, and sign up to icloud, can we then use our mobile me mail addresses also on our OS Leopard macs.

My Mac OS X 10.6.8 Safari must have some sort of virus. It is sending messages to everyone in my address book without my knowledge. What is happening? How can I stop it?

I have much of the junk emails that come to me auto set to go to the Trash folder through Junk Filter settings. However, when I do a Command>A, to choose all the email in the Trash folder, and then click on Delete, the junk emails I never opened don't delete until I do it again or click on each one and then click Delete. All the other emails I moved there manually will disappear using the Command>A and Delete, just not those that went there by filter rules I set up.

I've determined that most of the spam I'm currently receiving comes from a block of IP addresses in Australia. (The URLs are spoofed).
Is there a way to block email originating from that block of IP addresses? Perhaps a plug-in?

Mac OSX 10.6.8
He has mail set to access Gmail (IMAP) and it works fine when sending a normal email, however, when sending an attachment, the activity monitor, goes halfway and then the reate drops off and the mesage about cannot be sent from this outgoing server is displayed. - mesage goes to outbox. - Open that message back up, delete the attachment and send, it goes no problems.
Tried to work out what the problem is, by:checking Gmail (with attachments) through browser, sent OKtrying different file types, jpg, txt, zip, and different ways of attaching them, either from menu or dragging them into the meassga pain. - No sendrepair permissions for mac, incase any pref files corrupt. - No sendbrand new jpg created from photoshop - No sendimage emailed from me, copied to desktop and then sent back to me - No send

How do you address an email to a group with iCloud? I used to just type in the name of the group and all the addresses filled in. Since I've switched to iCloud it doesn't recognize the group name. If I select +, then the the group name I'm still asked to select individual recipients.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having this problem for a while now and did not find any topics about it on the net. If it is handled some other place already, the link, or way to find it would be nice.
I'm using mail.app with 5 different accounts at work. Different accounts are supposed to be for different groups of receivers. When sending mails I unfortunately tend forget to check if the right sending address (account) is chosen. Mail automatically chooses the one from which the last mail was send. And so it ends up that people receive mails from the wrong address and are getting confused by that.
I'm having some random junk emails and would like to block them. How?
