View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone out here using [URL] successfully? I have not been able to access the site for over 3 weeks. I keep getting an error message when trying to access the webmail:
"ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.
Query: CAPABILITY"
Nor am I able to get a hold of support (email bounces back). If anyone that is successfully using [URL:..] could you send an email to support telling them that numerous users are not able to access the the mail server. I guess this is provided that they haven't hung it up.
Just updated to lion this week and now I can't acces my website? Anyone else had issues?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a site that I made with iWeb on my iMac. Now I have a second Mac, a Mini, and I am trying to use it to work on my site but I can't figure out how to access the current site with iWeb. All it seems to want to do is create new sites. My site is saved to the "Sites" folder on my hard drive, and uploaded to my MobileMe space. Yet there doesn't seem to be any way to open the site, from either location, with iWeb on the Mini.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got this email from the manager of my dorm: Quote: This is a reminder that wireless routers of any kind are not permitted anywhere in the ***** *****. If you have one please disable it immediately because these are causing the internet for the entire building to stop working and it is very frustrating to residents who do not have internet access. This entire building does not have wireless capabilities. Every apartment is equipped with a modem for Ethernet internet access. We pay a lot of money to have Ethernet in every apartment so by using wireless routers when we dont have wireless internet youre not only stealing wireless from someone not affiliated with this building youre wasting our money that pays the internet bill every month, and youre causing the internet to go down to the entire building. ***** is working hard to identify where these wireless routers are in the building and disabling them as they find them. If you have one stop using it, or if you know someone that has one please tell them to stop using it. If you have questions about this please direct them to the IT department by calling Is there really a way for them to detect if I am using a wireless router in my dorm room? I am using an Airport Express and it is convenient because it allows me to plug my printer into the USB so my printer does not take up space on my desk. And I have a Playstation 3 in the common room with NetFlix. So do you think I should unplug it? Or are they bluffing?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with SOME of my albums in itunes. Some of them ( aprox 20%) are displaying the sogns within an album in an alphabetical order. I do not have "track" in the column header selected. I have tried selecting "track #"but this does not rectify the track names into the original album order. I can not manually enter the track number either in the "track #" field to manually rectify this as iTunes does not allow you do this. It is really frustrating that I have to listen to some of my albums in alpabetical song name order rather than the order the artist wanted me to. See an attached example screenshot for Erykah Badu's Baduizm Album.

There's something that's been bugging me for ages, literally years:
I've got a whole lot of music, 45 days worth, and I view it by date added and want to keep it that way for a number of reasons.
Problem is, when I want to play an album I have to click on the first track, then switch to album (or artist) display by the end of that track.
The other day I added an album by dragging it into iTunes in the Finder. I noticed that I could start and stop and advance and rewind tracks and it would go in order, from first to last track, even in Date Added mode, so it was visually moving up and down instead of from top to bottom.
Is there secretly a way to view in Date Added but have the next track be the next track on that album? Besides dragging the tracks into iTunes from the Finder I mean.
If anyone has a way to do this, it would seriously improve my life and I would be infinitely grateful.
I use IWeb to make my site with no problem. however now I'm doing another site and can't publish it (the new site). I've tried to erase my site from "sites" but cannot publish the other site!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI managed to get Site2Site VPN working between two different networks/office buildings using the guide from apple.com. One network server/gateway is 192.168.0.1 and the other is 192.168.1.1, everything works, every client can see every client and every client can see every serverSo far so good. But what I can't do is ping from Mac server one (192.168.0.1) to the other mac server on the other network (192.168.1.1) and vice versa. The VPN Site2Site option is great and very easy to set up, I only need to resolve this last?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just finished an original rock album, registered it with Gracenote, and it is being sold through itunes and many other places via cdbaby. The album is also available to download via Dropcards to people that buy or receive a download crad from us in person. PROBLEM is, when you download the cd, the tracks are in the proper order as on the album when they are in a folder from Dropcards, then you drag them into itunes and they are in ALPHABETICAL order in the RECENTLY ADDED folder! Under the MUSIC tab, they however are in proper album order. ?? It's good that the cd is properly registered and is in the right order in peoples main MUSIC list, but when I download albums, the easiest way to find the new album is under RECENTLY ADDED, which in my case would have people clicking on the wrong song to start listening to our record (not the intended feel we wanted to start the record with)

I want to be able to hide those folders without adding a . before them (because then the apps won't be able to find the folders). Is there any way to do this? I know you can also change the permissions, but again, then the apps cant use the folders.
Is there a program I can use to make my IP address anonymous? I know there are some for Windows, but I haven't found any for Mac OS X yet.

I wonder if it is possible to hide the Dock completely. If you go to Dock settings and hide it, it will appear when the cursor near its edge. What I want, is to hide it completely - dont want it to appear all of a sudden and interrupt me. I found the app Dock Gone, which hides the Dock and makes it accessible via a keyboard-shortcut. Thing is, it costs $14.95, and I just want the dock to disappear.
Is there a way to do this? A terminal command or something? I guess there must be - Dock Gone is doing it somehow.
I don't want some applications to show their dock icon when they're running. Preview is an example. I've used the freeware app "Configure Dock Application Tile", but it always gives me an error saying I don't have permission. Is there another app that can do this?
