App Store :: Currently Running Lion 10.7.4, But Can't Load

Apr 13, 2012On 6 th April my BT homehub2 updated it's firmware and that's when the problems started. Broadband went down completely and powerlineadapters adapters for bt vision fried. After 2 telephone support calls we eventually got the home hub reset and connected to broadband. Bt supplied two new powerlineadapters and bt vision is now working. Laptop, iPhones and iPad (and bt vision) all connect fine and work completely well.
My iMac running OS X 10.7.3, appears to work in that it connects no problem to home hub and when you run diagnostics it says your Internet connection appears to be working normally... However I cannot get a web page to load - I have tried chrome, Firefox and safari. The bizarre thing is using Outlook I can send and receive email, also my apple devices are still syncing via the iCloud - that would suggest that the iMac is indeed connecting wirelessly to the router and sending and receiving data - just no web pages at all - also it can't connect to things like iTunes store or apples app store... Everything was working fine until the firmware update!
Also may/may not be related but when I log in now I always have to manually connect to router, it always connects fine but it used to do it automatically, also recently upgraded to Lion and I have my doubts there too?

Jan 8, 2011I bought a new HD, so i reformatted my disk and at the same time the 10.6.6 update with the Mac App Store came by. So i reinstalled my OS, then updated. I have the icon on de dock, but when i click it, it just stays saying: Loading, connecting to the iTunes Store... But it hangs there. It doesn't do anything. I even opened iTunes, logged into the store, but still nothing in the Mac App Store.

OS X :: Running Very Slow / Taking Time To Load After Clicking
Aug 9, 2009Within the last few days my iMac (Mac OS X 10.5.8) has started acting up. It is running very slowly. I have over 100GB of space left. 4GB of Ram. I have been so worried that I have tried everything, including a virus scan (which I knew would be useless) and turns out I have no virus'. I have repaired the permissions on my HD. I have also rebooted it a bunch of times, did a software update. Things like my hot corners won't work. My dock doesn't pop up when I run my mouse over it. Right click is VERY SLOW. It's gotten so bad that when the screensaver on my iMac turns on the motion of the mouse doesn't do anything. I have to actually push a button on the keyboard for the screensaver to go away.

MacBook Pro :: Unusually High CPU Load Running W7 Professional Bootcamp
Jun 12, 2010I bought my first Mac, a C2D MBP 13". I really love the machine. But I'm experiencing this particular issue of having high cpu load of up to 80% while on W7 Professional bootcamp even though I'm not running any graphic intensive programs.
Specs: 2.4Ghz MBP 13" (The recently refreshed model)
Windows 7 Professional 32bit (MSDNA Edition)
Upon successful installation of W7, I inserted the OS X disc inside and the bootcamp drivers installed successfully. So I'm quite sure the drivers are okay. Being a DotA lover, I installed WC3 on my bootcamp. However, I realise that whenenver I'm on windows mode, the machine is very laggy. I even have problem opening a browser when I alt tab out from WC3. Is this normal? Even when idle, the cpu load on the processor jumps from 1% to 47% randomly. Just fluctuates randomly. I'm quite sure my Windows Security Essentials is not doing any scan btw.

App Store :: Cannot Access Sign In Itunes Store After Lion Upgrade
May 25, 2012Have just upgraded my macbook to Lion. I logged into the app store, bought, downloaded and installed Lion no problem.
After upgrade I returned to the app store to download ibooks author. I can find ibooks author but when I try and install the app I have to sign in and I get a "connection failed" error message.
The same happens in iTunes when I try and view my account - "The network connection failed"
I can access the internet with no problems - including secure sites. I can access software update with no problems.
I have made no changes to my network settings - could sign in and download apps before upgrade, unable to after upgrade.

I can add items to my cart (doesn't matter what it is: i've tried various items). But once I go to check out it asks me to login and when I do I get taken to a page that says "An error has occurred during your session. Please return to the Store Menu to continue shopping." No matter how many times I try to checkout, I'll get the same error.However, if I login to the Apple store from my Macbook Air running 10.5.8 (which recognizes me as the same account as the same items will show up in the cart) I can checkout fine with no problems.

Mar 24, 2012I have a MacBook Pro that I got for Christmas, and ever since yesterday the Internet won't load on it. I've tried on my other computers (PCs) and the Internet is working (I'm on one right now). I've ran diagnostics for my Mac and it says everything is alright concerning the Internet, but if I try to access it it loads about 1/8th of the way and stops and stays there for hours. I've tried updating my Mac, but it won't connect to the Internet to update it.

Apr 27, 2012I never had the problem before, but now all of a sudden mtmd and mds processes consume huge amounts of CPU (+250% together) and I cannot really work on the laptop. It pretty much started after my external Apple 24" monitor froze and I had to hard boot.I am running Parallels and made Bootcamp "private" because of other performance problems with mds.I am also running backups to Time Machine, but have now been forced to turn this off.
When running Kaspersky AND Time Machine turned on - I cannot work at all.So, was there ever found any solution to this (other than turning off Time Machine, which is probably not the intension from Apple).I am running X Lion on a 15" Mac Book Pro from June 2010, 2,66GHz, Intel Core i7, 4 Gb DDR3. All software updated as far as I know. Also, just updated the firmware on the Time Capsule.

May 3, 2012I have this very annoying issue with my Mac. (I have OSX v.10.7.3 Safari v. 5.1.5) Very often when I try to open a webpage it takes forever to load and eventually I either get a “Safari can’t open the page because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.” message or the page loads partially-no pictures or with a strange layout. After that when I re-lunch the page it shows up instantly. The strange thing is that when I don’t wait but instead quit and re-lunch Safari while it's loading the page, it loads straightaway. I can also turn my Internet connection on and off again and same thing happens. (WiFi or cable- it doesn’t matter) The problem is that I have to do it every time I click on a link. You can imagine what happens when I try to open more than one tab or window.This also happens on Chrome on my Mac but my Toshiba Win XP works perfectly so I don’t think it’s the modem or wifi. I don’t have any antivirus installed, no mackeepers either.
