Certain webistes like [URL], take ages to load after i login. I have cleaned my cache , deleted cookies,etc.... In the apple store everything works fine , but not at home. When using other PC's / notebooks it all works fine, except my own Macbook. Other browsers on my Mc , have the same problem.
My wife recently purchased a macbook air runing OS X 7.3, and when I try to install Microsofts Office X for mac I receive an error that power pc applications are no longer supported and the software will not install. Is there something in the new version of OS X that prohibits installing MS Office?
I've been using 1password and have had a massive annoyance ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard. Safari doesn't load 1password (3 - I've been using it since the beta started) the first time I use it after switching on my mac. I have to actually open 1password then refresh whatever page I wanted to use autofill on and after that it works whether I quit and reopen safari or just leave it running. This is a pain because I shouldn't have to add 1password to my startup items (that would be even more annoying). Has anyone else had this problem. I've tried various combinations of removing/adding the extension, disabling extensions (in 1password) uninstalling/reinstalling 1password, resetting Safari et cetera but none of it has made any difference. I've been running the latest Safari and latest 1password every time.
I am running Snow Leopard on a new Power Mac which is part of a windows network. On the Windows server, there are a couple of shares that I would like the mac to use. I can manually connect to them and browse ok, but what I would really like to do is have them automatically load on startup and display on the desktop. I have tried connecting to the them and then dragging them into the login items, but on restart, they don't appear on the desktop.
I have a problem where finder (under any condition even after a fresh restart) does not load the folder contents on my computer. Sometimes it loads after multiple restarts but somtimes it doesn't. I cannot browse through files anymore as nothing appears. Nothing also appears on terminal either. Here is a screenshot.
I have a MacBook Pro that I got for Christmas, and ever since yesterday the Internet won't load on it. I've tried on my other computers (PCs) and the Internet is working (I'm on one right now). I've ran diagnostics for my Mac and it says everything is alright concerning the Internet, but if I try to access it it loads about 1/8th of the way and stops and stays there for hours. I've tried updating my Mac, but it won't connect to the Internet to update it.
new iMac 21 load from internet and install last update my operation system. after reseting computer - gray screen and animated icon, operation system dont load. safe mode -
I never had the problem before, but now all of a sudden mtmd and mds processes consume huge amounts of CPU (+250% together) and I cannot really work on the laptop. It pretty much started after my external Apple 24" monitor froze and I had to hard boot.I am running Parallels and made Bootcamp "private" because of other performance problems with mds.I am also running backups to Time Machine, but have now been forced to turn this off.
When running Kaspersky AND Time Machine turned on - I cannot work at all.So, was there ever found any solution to this (other than turning off Time Machine, which is probably not the intension from Apple).I am running X Lion on a 15" Mac Book Pro from June 2010, 2,66GHz, Intel Core i7, 4 Gb DDR3. All software updated as far as I know. Also, just updated the firmware on the Time Capsule.

I have this very annoying issue with my Mac. (I have OSX v.10.7.3 Safari v. 5.1.5) Very often when I try to open a webpage it takes forever to load and eventually I either get a “Safari can’t open the page because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.” message or the page loads partially-no pictures or with a strange layout. After that when I re-lunch the page it shows up instantly. The strange thing is that when I don’t wait but instead quit and re-lunch Safari while it's loading the page, it loads straightaway. I can also turn my Internet connection on and off again and same thing happens. (WiFi or cable- it doesn’t matter) The problem is that I have to do it every time I click on a link. You can imagine what happens when I try to open more than one tab or window. This also happens on Chrome on my Mac but my Toshiba Win XP works perfectly so I don’t think it’s the modem or wifi. I don’t have any antivirus installed, no mackeepers either.
I upgraded my internet yesterday to 100Mbps, and received a modem + router combo from my ISP (Charter). It is a Netgear CG3000D and I have another router hooked up, which is a Cisco/Linksys E3200. The problem I'm encountering is extremely slow page speeds, it'll take from 3 to 5 minutes for pages to load. My first thought was DNS, but of course I tried Google's Public DNS and OpenDNS. Unfortunately, they did not work. I called both the ISP and router manufacturer, but still no luck. I called Apple, but I'm not paying $49 for additional support. I'm assuming my Mac is caching something it's not supposed to. I do not live near an Apple store to see what's wrong. I went into safe mode and the issue still hasn't been resolved. There's multiple devices working fine, and I've noticed when my Mac is connected to my router, my PC goes haywire as well. And FYI -- I connected my iMac directly to the ISP's modem/router and it didn't work either.
Intermittent "forgetting" of most LogIn items. As I recall, this problem began in the later iterations of Snow Leopard and I posted somewhere in here about it, but I can't find that earlier discussion now.The problem is this: occasionally most login items will not load. I check System Preferences > Accounts > Login items and find that most of the items that were there are no longer listed. When it starts happening, it happens more often than occasionally. After a period of time, the problem goes away for a somewhat longer period of time.I Option-Go in the Finder to Library > Preferences and (1) delete the PLIST files for apple.com.loginitems and for apple.com.systempreferences then (2) open System Preferences > Accounts > Login items and re-populate the list then (3) restart.I have tried a shortcut of saving copies of the newly-written PLISTs and replacing the removed PLISTs with them before re-starting, but "something" else in the system has apparently stored the information and the same absences show up, so I have to go through the one-by-one repopulating of the list.
Does anyone have a solution beyond the steps I have listed here? Sometimes I want to get to work but have to go through that increasingly infuriating process of re-setting login items.I'm thinking there must be some other file that makes the "complete" PLISTs that I have saved and re-copied back into the Preferences folder match the incorrect list that was created on the incorrect startup. It is comparable to saving a revised word processor file but, when re-opened, it is the pre-revised version.

There are some sites, like url...that won't load properly in Safari, Chrome, nor Firefox. I'm not able to hover over my account to sign-out, as well as not able to paste links to get them to shorten it. The site loads fine on my iPhone and iPad, but not on my Macbook Pro.Other sites like Mashable, I'm not able to view any of the galleries.I've tried logging in as a guest, still the same issue. I even tried disabling ALL the plugins that are on the mac, still, same issue.

I find that after using my Early 2011 15" Macbook Pro w/ Lion 10.7.4 for a period of time, my applications do not load/open. I will be working in an application that was previously open, want to open another one (any application) and the application icon will bounce forever in the dock. The program will never open.
I am forced to Force Quit the application. I then try to restart the computer and I get the lovely beachball and the computer never restarts. I have to hold down the power button to turn off and restart the computer.
I have tried the following to resolve this issue:
1. Repaired Permissions (numerous times)
2. Reinstall the 10.7.4 Combo Pack
3. Used Onyx and run all maintenance tasks
I really don't want to have to do a fresh install of everything.
I am unable to load any Adobe applications. I keep getting an error that I do not have the correct application/program to do the install of Acrobat X Pro and suggests going to the app store to download such software/programs. The Adobe product/media is for MAC and Adobe confirms suppport for 10.7.3, however the media only contains a .pkg installer file not a .dmg installer file which I need for MAC. I have tried two different DVD media for the same software and this is the case with both.
One of the first things I did after I installed Lion was to see if I was able to bring up my gmail, and it worked. Now, 24 hrs. later, I've done the iCloud thing, mac mail and yahoo mail work, but gmail doesn't. What happened?
When I go to start safari it won't load. The address bar lights up about a 13rd of the way and then just sits there. If I restart my computer it will work for a time but eventually refers back to the same behavior.I have tried reseting safari, I have tried to empty cache without success.
My new mac would not start after trying to load google earth. At start up it would not get past the page with apple, nor would it start in sage ,ode. Tried to reload lion from inter net. It downloads and tries the reinstall but will not finish.
This is my first post and I've a couple of questions and did searched for it on the internet but unfortunate ...For my study Multimedia designer, I am planning to get a Mac Pro but my school wants us to get a D*ll V laptop, windows 7 with these software:Adobe CS4 Master CollectioMicrosoft Office Enterprise 2007Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007I didn't choose for this D*LL laptop because its a 17,3" one and with my schoolbooks and etc in my bag, it would be pretty heavy for me.I hope that someone in this forum knows the answers on my questions and I really appreciate your help cos I even asked my friends and family about it but unfortunate, no luck so far
