OS X :: Good Bi-Directional Sync Apps?
Jun 8, 2009I was wondering if there are any good bi-directional sync apps for mac? I have had a look around and could not find any. Any advice would be great. What I am trying to do is sync two folders (one on my computer and another on my USB stick) and have those two folders sync'ed. Most programs I have found just sync from one folder to another but I would like it two way Ie if I create a new file on the USB stick and uni and also create a new file on my computer at home, I would like both these files to sync.

ITunes :: Only First Few Minutes Of Audiobooks Play
Jun 26, 2012Audiobooks no longer play on any device that I have: ipods, MacBook, iphone... The first 5 minutes or so play and then the track completely stops. The behaviour is slightly different on different devices. On the MacBook, an audiobook plays for around 5 minutes and then skips on to the next book.
On the iPods, an audiobook plays for around 5 minutes and then just stops. On the iPhone the volume stops after around 5 mins though the track keeps playing forwards. This must be a problem with the iTunes 10.6.3 software?

Apr 11, 2012I use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?Â

I just got a Apple TV 2 and that has been working nearly seamlessly via a wireless connect from the Time Capsule The problem is with the Mac Book Pro (early 2011, 17", 2.2 ghz Intel Core i7, 8GB DDR3, AMD radeon HD 6750 1024 MB Graphics, all updated on all software)What my twist is that when I start to stream a tv show from iTunes via home sharing it will play for 5-20 min and then just stop and return to the main iTunes menu This occurs on TV Shows purchased from Apple, From DVD's I have ripped with HandBrake and Bit Torrents I have also ripped with HandBrake (Into Apple TV 2 format) I've read over and over the Apple suggested trouble shooting. The only non Apple product/software in the mix is Norton for Mac on the Mac Book and the iMac however I have turned off the Firewall on that as well as experimented with turning on and off the Mac Firewall I have a older router from my ISP however the Apple TV is working fine so I *think* that has been elminatedÂ

Apr 1, 2009So here is what I'm trying to do, I've got a 160 gb of music in itunes on my macbook pro, but I need to decrease that number, b/c my I'm running out of hard drive space and my library is only getting larger. I want to have it set up so that I've got my entire library on my external hard drive (1 TB, space is not an issue), and while I'm at home I can access the entire library. However, while I'm out of the house, I'd like to only have about half of my current collection with me on my macbook pro..
I tried to set it up using the 'itunes manage multiple libraries' method, but this didn't transfer any of my ratings or playlists. Then I realized that with having these two libraries completely separate, this will be a re-occurring theme. The playlist and ratings between the two separate libraries in two separate locations, would continue to get more and more askew from each other depending on which library I'm accessing when I import new music, change ratings, or modify playlists...........

Mar 13, 2012I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

Feb 4, 2008I recently bought a replacement keyboard on ebay for my MBP and just installed it. It's been about a week, and just today, I noticed the capslock key doesn't work.. I'm not sure if it has been this way, or if it recently just stopped. The light doesn't come on at all.
I was curious if this was a common problem? If not, is their anything I can do as a substitute for caps lock? Another key perhaps? Or, a button on the task bar or something?
OS X :: ITunes - Cannot Get Movie To Sync?
Oct 29, 2010I have used itunes for years. For the first time I have actually bought a movie from itunes (glengary glenross). I synced my iphone 4 to get the movie on my phone so I could watch it on my phone during slow times at work. However I cannot get the movie to sync? So all my other movies which were ripped with handbrake work fine. I have those under the "movie" catergory and they are fine and sync fine. This purchased movie will not go to my phone. It does show under my "purchased" playlist with all the songs I have bought. However it isn't showing in my iphone under the playlist! I can play the movie fine off of my macbook and even moved it to my movie category with the rest of the movies. I have "include movies from playlists" checked under movies when snycing but it doesn't show on my iphone. I have looked thru and spotlight searched it and no go What am I doing wrong on this itunes purchased movie?

I am manually managing music and have other playlists checked to sync and they work fine. But, if I create a new playlist it simply does not show up.
