My unibody macbook that is about 3 months old is acting really weird. When i open 3 or more windows of safari and itunes it starts to lock up and act slugishly. When i open activity monitor it says is still has about 800mb of memory open. It is the base model with all stock components.

Just recently I took my 13" MacBook Pro (Late 2010 Model) to my local Apple Store. When I brought it there they fixed my problem, but in the mean time they had to completely delete and uninstall Safari and Google Chrome off of my laptop. Before the apple store, my Safari would always open pop-ups and links in a new tab, now they open up in a new window. how to change it so they open in new tabs? The reason I need this changed is I might have unecessary websites open, and they would just be taking up space.

After I updated my iTunes, which previously have been working with no problems at all, it suddenly began not working.
The problem I have is, that when i open iTunes, nothing happens. I can see it's running in the Task Manager, but I can't get it to open.
I like to command click for a new window and recently Safari started opening new pages that I command click UNDER the front main window. The preferences say it should be on top but it does not open that way. how to get this opening correctly again?

After upgrading to Lion I see a check box at shutdown to refrain from opening web pages currently open in Safari. I did that, unchecked it, but they still open. How odd they would make this a opt out scenario - is there a way to make this permanent? I liked the old way where you could go into History and do it during a new session.

My software update will open and the progress bar starts at about 10% and never moves. I read other posts saying it was downloading update and to give it time... I have a decently fast connection and left it running for almost 24 hours and it never budged. Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong or how to fix it. If no one has any ideas, I will take it to Genius Bar, but thats a long drive for me, so I would prefer to figure it out on here!

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the past couple of days I cannot open any windows in Safari. When I start the program up, I get the toolbar only. Nothing I do lets me open up a window. I even have to force quit the application sometimes to get it to close. I have reinstalled the program, removed the preferences, run Disk Warrior and Disk Utility with no luck. As a result, I have to use Firefox to do my browsing.Has anyone had this problem? Is there a fix for this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a mac air version 10.9.3 running on mavericks and whenever I plug in my apple earphones, or any earphones with a mic and remote on the cable, itunes starts playing music without me touching anything. It plays music every time the contact plug of the earphones moves in the computer (like if I move the computer and the jack plug gets jiggled) and I don't know how to keep it from doing that. I tried quitting itunes but it didn't work.

I can access Internet Explorer, but all web pages are incomplete and jumbled; nor am I able to download anything, including trying to download Safari. My iTunes will not open either, and I cannot view any type of video, using Adobe Flash player. I never used to have any of these issues before. The current Internet setup is At&t Broadband. I am wondering if you might be able to suggest what the problem is, and how to remedy it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been reading the documentation and googling but I haven't found a way of getting Parallels to start XP and log in with anything other than Administrator. I created a proper account in XP with admin rights which I was intending to use for the three or four applications I still need Windows for. However, when starting the VM I have to immediately log out and log back in with this username, which is getting annoying. I suppose I could just use Administrator for the apps, but I'd rather have a proper named user account. Anyone know if it's possible to configure the VM in some way so it uses a different username in XP?

Now, none of these files will open: Mail, Safari, itunes, iChat, Google Earth, Skype. The icon bounces ONCE, then...nothing.
