Audio On My Macbook Pro Cuts Out After A Few Minutes
Jun 3, 2012The audio on my macbook pro cuts out after a few minutes. It sounds like all the low end is removed. I still hear audio but it is MUCH lower and sounds filtered. I can barely hear it maxed out. Nothing attached (no external drives, no speakers, etc) and it's only a few days old.

Apr 4, 2012I'm running the latest version of OS X Lion on a MacBook Pro purchased in late 2011. It has all of the current updates from Apple. I can start or receive FaceTime calls with no problem. I have tried calls with three different friends, incoming and initiating. These friends have used a variety of devices on their end: Another MacBook Pro, iPhone 4s running iOS5, and iPads running iOS5. In all cases, about five minutes or so into the conversation, I can no longer hear them but they can still hear me. Video continues smoothly in all cases. I can disconnect that call and re-establish a call to that same user's device with my iPhone 4 or my iPad (both running iOS5) and run FaceTime without dropping the audio in either direction no matter how long we talk. Due to the variety of devices tested, the problem seems to be narrowed down to the incoming audio in my FaceTime on my MacBook Pro dropping off after five minutes. DVD movies play without a problem, as does Netflix streaming shows. No loss of incoming audio there. Also, when the FaceTime incoming audio drops off, other sounds such as system sounds continue to work normally.
There are a variety of messages on the internet about someone losing their outgoing audio after five minutes but still able to hear the other party. However, I could find nothing on the net about losing the incoming audio only.

Software :: Final Cut Express Audio - Cannot Hear Music & Sound Track On The Film Clip
Jan 23, 2009I have Final Cut Express 4 running on an iMac with Leopard 10.3.5. The problem I have is I cannot hear a music track & the sound track on the film clip at the same time when I run the clip. I only hear the clip sound track until it finishes then the music track plays. If I drag the scrubber bar along the time line I can hear both the music & the Clip sound track together. This only happens when I logon to the Mac as an Administrator. (I have never managed to hear both sound tracks together whilst logged on as Administrator.)
In desperation I created a user account on my iMac. If I logon as a user Final Cut Express 4 works ok ? I hear both sound tracks together when I play the clip. Any ideas how I can make the Administrator account work as the User account does? As the iMac is only used by myself I don?t need any user accounts.

I was trying to install windows on my pro, and i had bootcamp chop the hard disk in half, but then my disk drive didnt read the cd so i had to download and install some file. and after i restarted i could no longer access the windows side, it just disappeared.....plus i cannot reset my hard disk, cant erase it, and i cant reinstall OS X because there is no memory left..

Jun 21, 2012At the beginning of last year I bought a 3.2GHz 27" iMac. About a month ago I noticed that, within about 5 minutes of starting my computer back up from sleep the left half of the screen would flick and become darker than the lower half (about 4 clicks of the light button lower). Sometimes the screen will flick to become even darker than this (but usually it returns to the 4 clicks darker after a short while), and sometimes it returns to normal only to go darker again.

MacBook Pro :: Bottom Half Of My Screen Go Black And Most Of The Top Half Flicker?
Jun 23, 2010I have a MacBook Pro with the 9600gt in it. Since updating to 10.6.4 this morning 2 times while playing java games i've had the bottom half of my screen go black and most of the top half flicker. I've had to hold in the power button and reset both times. The second time I closed the screen and reopened it, the screen was black but no mouse and nothing moved.
Any advice? Would this be something to do with my graphics card or possibly some error in 10.6.4?Edit:: This is software related to 10.6.4 update and only happens when I open up a java game in a browser.
