PowerPC :: Powerbook G4 Can't Connect To WiFi - Says Password Is Wrong?

Jan 26, 2009

I have an old PowerBook G4 which I don't use anymore, due to this problem.I used to run Leopard on it, until it crashed, and I downgraded it to 10.3 (i think.)
Now, I cannot connect to my wifi connection. It reads it, but when I type in the password, (which I assure you is correct) it says that the password is wrong. And when I put in the Leopard install CD (for my macbook) it can't install Leopard, which is obvious, but I can connect to my wifi. How do i fix this wifi problem?

I have just acquired myself a powerbook G4 to use as a server. At home, it can connect to the router (airport extreme) fine with no problems, but now I've taken it down to uni and it is refusing to connect to the router supplied by O2. I have the right password for it and when i type it in, it says that there was an error joining the network. I've changed the frequency of the router multiple times to get it to work but to no avail so was wondering if any of you guys could help?

PowerPC :: Connect TV And Projector To 15" Powerbook G4?

Oct 21, 2006

I have only twenty-four hours to figure out how best to connect a large screen TV in one room and an Optoma projector in another so that Powerpoint can be viewed on both of them. It seems that my 15" Powerbook G4 cannot support sending both a DVI signal and an S-Video signal at the same-time.

Has anyone any knowledge of websites or threads that have related information? I know that multiple displays are supported....I think... Any ideas?

PowerPC :: IBook Will Not Connect To WiFi?

Mar 8, 2008

my teacher asked me to help him with a wireless internet problem. (I'm the only one who knows anything about Macs.) His iBook used to be able to connect to the school's wireless, but up until the techie "changed something with the wireless" he hasn't be able to get on. The iBook is the dual-USB version 700 MHZ G3 with 10.3.9 installed. He states that it will connect at other places, like his house or coffee shops. I don't know what could be wrong. I'm guessing it has something to do with a different kind of WiFi signal. The iBook gen he owns has 802.11b.

MacBook :: Will Old Titanium Running 10.3 Be Able To Connect To Wifi With A Usb Wifi Antenna?

Mar 7, 2012

I have a pretty old Titanium Mac Book that runs OS 10.3.9.  It's a moderately slow machine, but still works-  and although I realize that it won't be able to stream video or anything, I figure it would work for email, and basic web browsing-  But I'm wondering if it's going to be compatible with any new products such as a USB wifi antenna - because the room where I want to use it won't alow for an ethernet connection-   Also, will the old 10.3.9 OS allow me to connect wifi to the newer airport extreme base stations?
