MacBook Pro :: Mail Is Saying Wrong Password Yet On Outlook Site It Is Correct

Jun 28, 2014

My mail has been working fine on my mail app on my macbook pro... until recently. Its repeatedly prompting me for my password and then says it is incorrect and to try again. Upon going on the actual mail website and doing an online sign in I have realised that the password is infact correct. How can i resolve this. Additionally, its also happening on my iphone which is why I know its something I need to alter with my apple products.

MobileMe :: Mail Won't Accept Password Even Though It Is Correct?

Apr 30, 2012

Something is wrong with my mail client. Even though I am 100% certain that the password is correct (I get mail on my iPhone and when I log onto iCloud site), my mail will not accept the password. I've tried even to delete the account and set it up again, but that doesn't work either.

MacBook Pro :: Accidentally Restored The Wrong Backup - Restore The Correct One?

Jun 4, 2012

I had my macbook fixed and when I restored from my time machine there were two options and I accidentally clicked the wrong one which restored it to my settings from a year ago. I know I have the backup from a few days ago on my external hard drive but when I go into time machine and click restore it says there is not enough free space available. I think that is because it is trying to restore the new backup on top of the old settings. Is there a way to erase my computer and restore the new backup? I know you can do that with the CD but I don't have it and I'd prefer not to have to go back all the way to the apple store to get them to do it there.

MacBook :: 2008 Aluminum Will Not Accept Correct Password At Login

May 7, 2012

My macbook ran out of battery two days ago. When I restarted it had all my data and files, but the settings had been reset (i.e. my screen saver, dock, expose, etc had all been reset to the original settings). A day later, the macbook froze and I tried to restart it. It now goes to the login page with my user ID but does not accept my correct password. Instead, the rainbow pinwheel spins for a few minutes before the login window shakes and then clears my entered password, as if it does not accept the password. After a few repeated tries, it offered me my password hint. I know my password is the same one I've always used.

Software :: Firefox And Password Manager Pop Up For New Site

Love this feature (because I'm all about convenience). But the first time I logged on to a specific new site, password manager popped up asking if I wanted it to remember my log on information. Instead of hitting "remember", I accidentally hit "never remember". It's driving me nuts because its the one site I visit every day, and can't figure out how to un-do it other than re-register under a new name, which would be too much of a hassle since it's my stock brokerage site.

Applications :: Import Mail Account Settings From Thunderbird And / Or Outlook Express Into Mail?

Jan 31, 2010

Is there away to import mail account settings from Thunderbird and/or Outlook Express into Mail? [that is mail.app, to help any one searching later on as Mail is too common a word to search for]. I've imported all my messages correctly but don't know how or if it's possible to import my account settings. Also: I'm in the process of migrating all my e-mails / mail accounts / settings and mail rules from Outlook Express to Mail [Mail.app]. I have successfully got all my e-mails across. I have also managed to convert all the e-mail addresses in the 50+ mail rules, as stored in the Windows registry, from hex into text.

Some of my rules have tens of e-mail addresses which if I had to add in each address separately would be a nightmare. Is there away of block adding in e-mail addresses to Mail? Also is it possible to manually edit the mail rules preference file(s) and insert the e-mail addresses into that? I'm aware I have to manually recreate the rules themselves but that's not so difficult. It's the adding back in of all the e-mail addresses that might be, given the large number that exist.
