I've had my MobileMe account since 2003. Had my three Macs since my first G4 and added to them as I could afford.I also have an iPhone 3G. All have access to my MobileMe.
I also have my website on MobileMe. Can I ask, what happens, as I got a warning to switch, as my MobileMe will end soon, if I can't have Lion on my computers? My 11 years of connection to MobileMe will all be lost?Â
I live in Greece and Mac prices are through the roof here. This is a forced upgrade tactic, I feel. Will there be no alternative to online mail for the lesser mortals without Lion?Â
Could I have an answer, and not get deleted again, as, as the email states, time is running out.Â

I have just switched to OS X Lion, in the hope of using iCloud with iWork apps.I have the latest Pages version ('09) and after spending two hours reading forums, I have just understood that:
1/ I cannot save docs to iCloud without buying the iOS app on one of my mobile devices.
2/ I will have to wait for the next Pages release, for iCloud support on OS X.
3/ Using a $2000 Apple laptop only enables to view docs created by iPad or iPhone devices.
I just wanted to save my Pages doc to iCloud, in order to have it ready on my Mac at the office on Monday.I sometimes wonder whether Apple is joking or not.In addition to this, the item "Trying iWork" is grayed, thus no way to try to push that damned doc to iCloud.I cannot believe there is such a poor iCloud support on OS X Lion.

So Apple want's to force off Mobile Me users and is directing us to use iCloud. Yet the main feature that I specifically purchased Mobile Me for was the syncing capabilities of keychains, preferences, etc. So that if I install a new OS from scratch or buy new hardware, installation is much easier. I've used this feature several times and it has made my investment into Mobile Me worth every penny. Also I truly enjoyed the full sharing capabilities of the Photo Gallery which iCloud is considerably watering down. Â
We are a corporate giant now and no longer care about our customers. They will make us rich no matter what we take away from them." Slowly but surely Apple is taking away perks and benefits that made their product stand out over Microsoft's.  So much for loyal Apple customers such as myself. Â

My OS X eMac cannot support iCloud, but I want to continue using my mac.com email address. With the changeover today, I'm not able to access my emails, because I don't know how. (It seems I can send emails, but I don't know if they're being received.)

I can't understand why Apple didn't support Snow Leopard for iCloud. There are a lot of us who still have computers that can't run Lion.I have three Macs running at home, but only one will run Lion, but I'm running SL on it, because Lion keeps crashing, locking up, or failing to boot. Now comes along Mountain Lion.I'm not sure I will upgrade to it, due to the problems I've had with Lion.I have an iPad coming in about two weeks and I'm hoping I can use this to access all my iCloud data. Jobs must have been out of the loop on this one.

I am contemplating upgrading my MacBook Pro (2011 model) from Snow Leopard to Lion. I am concerned about the level of strong criticism about Lion, especially the comments that MS Word and Excel (and Powerpoint?) cannot run in Lion. What is the full story? Can I run MS Office products by reloading them into Lion environment?

Finder has been hanging recently, causing other apps (and sometimes the whole system) to become unresponsive. i googled for fixes, and followed a suggestion to reboot into Safe Mode, navigate through a few directories in Finder, then restart normally. having done this, i now find that Chrome's settings and bookmarks have been wiped and my contacts and calendars have gone AWOL; it seems that most of the subdirectories under ~/Library/Application Support have disappeared, taking my Calendars, Contacts, etc. with them...

I am trying to set up my mail on my new macbook air running Lion. However, I'm using Exchange 2003? I've tried everything I can think of. I have the outgoing and incoming mail server info. I also know the domain name. I would much prefer to get my mail through this program than going on line which is what I'm doing all the time right now!!

I just switched to Mac OS X Lion yesterday and I feel like I just wasted a ton of money on something that now doesn't support all my school cd's and apps. How can I get software back on my computer to help get rid of the "Can't Open Because this isn't supported... Blah blah blah."

iPhoto: Restoring from Time Machine with iPhoto 9.1.5 and OS X Lion However, the document is no longer available. So what can I do now? I've migrated files from my mother's MacBook Pro with Snowleopard to her new iMac with Lion. So far, it's been buggy as heck. The missing iPhoto library is the tip of the iceberg.

OS X 10.7 is clearly the most advanced operating system ever (until the next one) but I'm not digging it at all. I wanna go back to 10.6. I still have my 10.6 disk. Upgraded from 10.6 to 10.7., and am now on 10.7.3. Tried running the 10.6 install disk at boot-up and the 10.6 install was all going fine but then nearly at the end Installer said "Installation Failed. Some support files couldn't be found."
