ITunes :: Apple Doesn't Support Sheet Music On It

Apr 7, 2012

Every musician that owns an iPad uses it for their sheet music. Why won't apple officially support sheet music on iTunes? Every sheet music app on the ipad is terrible and apple stands to make a lot of money, seeing as how I would buy all of my sheet music from them if they did it right. This seems like it's right up their alley too, with the strong support of the arts on their devices.

ICloud :: Can't Understand Why Apple Didn't Support Snow Leopard For It

May 19, 2012

I can't understand why Apple didn't support Snow Leopard for iCloud. There are a lot of us who still have computers that can't run Lion.I have three Macs running at home, but only one will run Lion, but I'm running SL on it, because Lion keeps crashing, locking up, or failing to boot. Now comes along Mountain Lion.I'm not sure I will upgrade to it, due to the problems I've had with Lion.I have an iPad coming in about two weeks and I'm hoping I can use this to access all my iCloud data. Jobs must have  been out of the loop on this one.

Windows On Mac :: Vista Doesn't Recognize Blu Ray Disk?

May 12, 2009

I recently installed an LG GGC-H20L Blu-Ray and HD DVD drive into the second bay of my Mac Pro. This in itself was an absolute pain, as I had to enable AHCI for Windows Vista by using a modified mbr because I was using one of the ODD_SATA ports on the motherboard which Windows doesnt' "see" cause it runs in legacy mode. Everything there went completely fine, as now I am running in AHCI mode and I can see the LG drive and I can play CD's and regular DVD's via that drive in Windows Vista. However, the problem now is that when I insert a Blu-Ray or an HD DVD, Windows doesn't even recognize that there is media in the drive. It says there is no disc inside. When I boot in OS X, I can clearly see both the HD DVD and Blu_ray (although I can't play it or do anything with it).

MacBook Air :: 11" MBA Doesn't Support The 64 Bit Kernel?

Nov 13, 2010

I was just playing around with my 11" MBA and found it doesn't seem to support the 64-bit OS X kernel. I tried holding the 6 and 4 keys at bootup then running 'uname -a' in the terminal and it reports I'm still running the 32-bit kernel. I also tried running "sudo systemsetup -setkernelbootarchitecture x86_64" and it reported that the architecture had successfully been changed, but on rebooting I found I was still running the 32 bit kernel.

What I did was:1. insert DVD  Snow Leopard Install Disk, reboot and  press ''C' - kernel panick;2. reboot into Recovery Mode, open  Disk Utility, erase   the preinstalled Lion completely, format the disk as Mac OS Extended (journaled). Then try to reboot   into DVD   Mac OSX 10.6 install disk:  kernel panick.3. In Disk Utility go to restore tab, use DVD install disk as source and  use  my disk as destination, hit restore. MacBook Pro :: Retina Doesn't Support 1440x900 In Windows

Jun 20, 2012

Finally took the plunge tonight and installed Windows 7 on a partition on my new Retina MBP.  Everything's beautiful, runs fine... after playing around in native 2880x1800 for a while, I decided to see how this gorgeous screen would look at exactly 1/2 its native resolution.  Open display properties... screen resolution... There is no option in either the windows native resolution pane or the nVidia Control Center to switch resolution to exactly 1440x900.  Closest is 1600x900, which of course is the wrong aspect ratio.

I kept running games in OS X at 1440x900 and it would render all interpolated and blurry, and I thought that was simply Apple's funky scaling for the Retina display... but something's seriously wrong if I can't run a 2880x1800 screen at 1440x900. Of course, I can always define a custom resolution, but I'm scared to do that... I have no idea why 1440x900 isn't an option and I don't want to experiment on my brand new $2,200 toy.

Aperture :: PhotoSweeper Doesn't Support Library Version 3.5.1

Jun 2, 2014

On trying to load my iPhoto library into PhotoSweeper through the media browser, I am receiving this error message:

"140418_iPhoto Library_full" could not be read because its version is not supported. PhotoSweeper supports iPhoto 7.x (iLife '08), 8.x(iLife '09) and 9.x (iLife '11), but your library is of version 3.5.1.

I ran Photosweeper without any issue less than a week ago but have since found/loaded some more duplicates so wanted to run it again. How can I overcome this error?

ICloud :: Mac Can't Support Lion And MobileMe?

Feb 24, 2012

I've had my MobileMe account since 2003. Had my three Macs since my first G4 and added to them as I could afford.I also have an iPhone 3G. All have access to my MobileMe.

I also have my website on MobileMe. Can I ask, what happens, as I got a warning to switch, as my MobileMe will end soon, if I can't have Lion on my computers? My 11 years of connection to MobileMe will all be lost?

I live in Greece and Mac prices are through the roof here. This is a forced upgrade tactic, I feel. Will there be no alternative to online mail for the lesser mortals without Lion?

Could I have an answer, and not get deleted again, as, as the email states, time is running out.

ICloud :: It Won't Support Keychain Sync

Mar 14, 2012

So Apple want's to force off Mobile Me users and is directing us to use iCloud.  Yet the main feature that I specifically purchased Mobile Me for was the syncing capabilities of keychains, preferences, etc. So that if I install a new OS from scratch or buy new hardware, installation is much easier.  I've used this feature several times and it has made my investment into Mobile Me worth every penny.  Also I truly enjoyed the full sharing capabilities of the Photo Gallery which iCloud is considerably watering down.

We are a corporate giant now and no longer care about our customers.  They will make us rich no matter what we take away from them."  Slowly but surely Apple is taking away perks and benefits that made their product stand out over Microsoft's.   So much for loyal Apple customers such as myself.

Does IWork Support ICloud On OS X Lion

Jun 24, 2012

I have just switched to OS X Lion, in the hope of using iCloud with iWork apps.I have the latest Pages version ('09) and after spending two hours reading forums, I have just understood that:

1/ I cannot save docs to iCloud without buying the iOS app on one of my mobile devices.

2/ I will have to wait for the next Pages release, for iCloud support on OS X.

3/ Using a $2000 Apple laptop only enables to view docs created by iPad or iPhone devices.

I just wanted to save my Pages doc to iCloud, in order to have it ready on my Mac at the office on Monday.I sometimes wonder whether Apple is joking or not.In addition to this, the item "Trying iWork" is grayed, thus no way to try to push that damned doc to iCloud.I cannot believe there is such a poor iCloud support on OS X Lion.
