OK so did you type the title of your e-mail or any other unique text that relates to the mail here? Next you need to select 'All Mail' in the search tab. Next add a Folder colum to your search results and see if it shows up there.Â
if you now delete the found mails they will appear again in the deleted mail folder. from there you can delete them again etc. Did you do this and they are gone? And you are on a POP account? Â

Apr 17, 2012I have on tow differnt Mac' both running 10.8.6 and Office 2011.I get a message and I delete it from the inbox (POP accounts with my ISP, on my own domain), and next from the deleted items folder. so far so good, message (should be) gone forever. Now if I do a search (via the Mac find function) for the message it shows up as being in:/Users/e/ Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Name of User/Data Records/Messages/ 0T/0B/0M/13K/x00_13558.olk14Message. The last item being the message.I can open it by double clicking and there it is in its full glory. If I do a search within Outlook it shows up but has no folder located to it, so I suppose it 'finds' it in the same folder where the Mac finds it.Using the find inside Outlook I can find them, delete them again and find them again, etc. Now, not only does this bloat the storage space needed (account now bloated to 1.5 Megabite), but it is also unpleasant (security) to know that they are still there.After all why otherwise delete anything?is this normal, and the second question is, how to set Outlook up that it removes these messages permanently? I had a thread about this in the MS Outlook forum but had no luck there. url...it be interesting to hear if any of you can recreate the problem, to exclude it being a unique problem on both my machines.

- Upgrade to latest Outlook version, followed by again

Apr 18, 2012I can't install Java update, not via 'software update', nor via download from Apple support site. Always get error message at 'writing scripts', even with the camera update. Same thing happens when trying to re-install Adobe flash-player, which I had uninstalled after virus threat. Seems I can't install anything anymore. I had previously uninstalled everything Java in Safari and run Mackeeper duplicate eraser.

MobileMe :: Error Message But Never Had Account
May 12, 2012In the last few weeks when I open iphoto on my iMac (OS 10.7.3) I get the following error message, "MobileMe didn't recognize the stored password for (my name)'s MobileMe account". As far as I can remember, I never had a MobileMe account, but I did put in the password I use for my Apple account and it rejected it. I created a brand new password, and it still wouldn't recognize it. I don't care about MobileMe and I have other Cloud accounts, so I just want to get rid of this annoying error message. Where do I go to stop this message for good? I have looked everywhere I could think of. I also checked on my iPad. My contacts and calendars are successfully synching.

MacBook Pro :: Cannot Find Recovered Message Folder
Apr 9, 2012I have a macbook pro with a 750 GB hard disk. This was purchased only recently. Two months ago, it showed a message which said the hard disk was full. This was despite the fact that I had less than 10GB of pictures and music together.
When I spoke to Apple, they said that Yahoo mail tends to create a recovered messages folder, which he helped me locate and delete. This gave me 740Gb back.
It has happened once again. And i cant seem to lopcate this folder. I cannot find Mail folder either having gone through user/library etc.

Nov 2, 2010I have a user who just switched from Mac Mail to Outlook 2011. Getting a strange issue when sending to users on Outlook 2010 PC.
When sending a message, users on Outlook 2011 and people viewing the message via web mail can see the message fine. It reports that it's a digitally signed message (just one sentence), and the certificates look fine. Via the web, the message appears fine. It says:
"This message has a digital signature. The digital signature could not be validated because the S/MIME control is not available." However, it comes up fine.
However, users on Outlook for PC (my version is 2010), cannot read it. I first get a preview pane error "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contents." And when I double-click on the message, I get a pop up window "Your Digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying security system."
Anyone can provide clues why other Outlook MAC users and via the web the message can be read, but just not PC Outlook users for now?

Apr 10, 2012my macbook has twice now filled up it's memory trying to recover a message on the mail program from two years ago. everytime i turn on the mail program and enter my password, try to sync up my mail to my gmail account it begins recovering one specific email, over and over and over and over eventually filling up my hard drive. i have used disk utility twice to check my permissions and then repair if necessary as well as run the disk repair portion of disk utility. do i have a virus? is there a botnetfly larvae growing under my skin?

Dec 7, 2014After having had communication problems abroad using a 3G key Internet connection ( bad signal, jumping back to 2G, aborting connection suddenly, ...) I receive now systematicaly a copy of a mail I sent, one day before, to someone else, in a mailbox "recovered messages" (this is however my translation of the french name of the mailbox: ( "Messages récupérés - IMAP"). Deleting this message does'nt cure the problem: the message comes again (I do'nt know from where) and again. How to stop this reoccurant mail?

Jun 7, 2012yesterday i turned on my macbook and i wanted to connect to the internet. Everithink seemed fine until i opened safari. I wanted open some websites and it was still loading and doing nothing. Then i have tried open google chrome and the same problem ! But in google chrome showed error message 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED). So i have tried to reset network settings, change DNS adress manualy and its still broken. I also tried to reset modem manualy etc...I can use modem on my iPad without problems and i can connect on my macbook trough ethernet cable.

Jun 25, 2012Up till now, all the family have been using just one user account on our iMac. (OK, I now know that's not a good idea!) I'm now going to be working from home so have set up a new user as Work. I've been using an IMAP mail service in Mail on the family user account and I've now set it up on the work account. If I delete the IMAP account from Mail in the family user account, will this delete my mail off the IMAP server so I cannot access it on the wrok user account?

Oct 17, 2009My dad's computer just had a kernel panic and I want to fix it fast. I've already run the basic Apple hardware test and it says no problems found. About last week he added 8GB (2x4GB) modules to his Mac Pro. He's running OSX 10.5.8, when he started it back up, it said OSX has recovered from an error/serious error and sent a report to Apple. The most recent thing he did was change his external backup drive (for TM) to a fresh one - a 1TB Lacie HD. Is there anything I can do to figure out what happened? Is it possible this could be just a once off thing, or maybe it was that mosaic screensaver? When the kernel panic occurred it was on that screensaver.

Mar 20, 2012I am an educator and my school system "upgraded" their Exchange Server and subsequently put Outlook on my computer. I configured Mail to pop over from Outlook, but now, I can't delete an email sent to my school email account without opening up Outlook and deleting it....it just keeps reappearing in my inbox. The problem is not the same on my iPhone or iPad, just on my MacBook Pro. So, I go for several days while the emails pile up, then open up Outlook and delete them one by one when I can't stand it anymore. Also, when Outlook is open, my computer runs at about 1/2 speed...everything slows and bogs down. Can I just delete Outlook from my computer?
