View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to delete all of the "sub-contacts" I have for someone, so that when I start typing in their name in the "to" field, only one name comes up, as opposed to all of this persons different emails.
We have switched from one email to another at my work, and the address that initially pops up is the old one. I tried deleting the contact from address book, but it did not change anything.
Just wonder if there is an easy way to find originals and eliminate duplicate images without buying software.

All of a sudden I have over 6,500 duplicate tracks in my iTunes.Not entire albums but many tracks from an album are duplicated.Is there an easy way to get rid of these tracks or do I have to do this one by one?Also why would this be happening? OKay so the other day I was on windows live messenger (for mac... on my mac) then I left my computer to go to the bathroom and I still had a convo open, when I came back the person i was talking to said that I had sent her this:

(That's all i remember) The friend I was talking to asked me what it was, I wasn't thinking and I opened it, it led me to some weird website about a quiz to win something.. but then later at 3:30 the other day I wasn't online, or logged in at all but my other friend said that I wasn't even online and that i had sent her this link. I'm pretty sure that I have a virus and I have NO idea how to get rid of it or if I can get virus software.

(G4 dual 533 running OS 10.4.11) I have carbon-cloned the startup drive contents to an external fire-wire drive which I hope to re-transfer back after reformatting my original drive into a single partition. I have designated the fire-wire drive to be the new startup disc.

The memory seems to be about 80% filled according to a chart I saw earlier. I back up everything to Time Machine and suppose I could clean the disk of all but applications making sure I had properly saved all my records, letters, papers written and songs and see if that does it but I'm much rather find a simpler fix from the community if any of you have similar problems and have solved them.Â

Getting a new MacBookPro with high res anti-glare screen.I type with two fingers, and often look at the keyboard. Â
For eye comfort, and to prevent retinal after-images, I'd like all the aluminum dull black. I found tape and fabric to cover up most of the top case and the bezel, but the keyboard is a challenge. KBCovers does not produce a keyboard cover which will be black at the bases of the keys and clear over the keys, which would allow the backlit keyboard to transmit.  So first choice is a keyboard cover which has black everywhere there's aluminum, and has clear for the keys.  Second choice is an all clear keybooard cover and I'll adhere black to the aluminum around the keys (and top case).Â

I have a lot of PDF and other files in general that I would like to keep sorted by date. Normally in finder options I would sort them by date but the problem is that the bulk of them were added to my laptop by scanning, e mail hard drives so the creation dates of these files is not necessarily the same date as these statements. I tried naming theses files by date e.g. 10/02/12 etc but obviously this did not work as numbers are recognised in sequence and not by calender.

When I begin to type the name of someone in the "To" field, I am offered a list of all the addresses they've had—some of them years ago. If I'm not careful, I end up selecting one of the old, and usually defunct, ones. How can I get rid of these outdated addresses? I've tried left-clicking an address and selecting "Remove address," but that seems to only remove it from the "To" field.

However, when I open the file in Preview, it flashes up a low-quality version of the image for a split second, and then just turns black. Sometimes when zooming I can get the low-quality image to appear again, but then it just turns black again.

I have obviously put in scanner so they tessellate and fit neatly; only I keep coming across some that are in-correct in their dates (I've arranged the folders by months). I scan the mentioned receipt/receipts then I want to move them so they fit into a page with space and tessellate with the others (wasteful and not an option to have pages with only one receipt). Already tried using the 'touch up object tool' to try to move it; which looks like will work but image is behind/ disappears. It has gotta be possible to move things onto a page, does not have capabilities/ made for purpose of photoshop but only want to move something onto a page-not unreasonable request .

I made them too big, they are 20+ megs, and I know with JPEGs one can just "flatten" the file. Can that be done with scanned docs too? If so, how? Do I need a special app for that? I have Preview and iPhoto, plus the MS Office package for the Mac.
