I had codes for a movie to get from the itunes store. I started downloading them yesterday for 1 movie and the extras to that movie and it needed 20+ hrs for it to finish. Is that normal? I got 7 hrs to go with one download completed. I have a macbook pro if that matters.

shutting down. It looks as though it is shutting down normally and then the screen darkens from top to bottom with an error message. I can't get a screen shot of the message but all it says is that there has been an error. What happened and what can i do to cut the time down if I want to watch at least one of the movies on the plane?

What I want to know is what would cause transmission to use most of my processing power, just on start up? this screen shot below was taken while waiting for the application to start. Every question I see about changing the screenshot format here seems overly complicated, or requires installing another app.
I'm pretty sure screenshots used to always be png, but I just noticed that they are now jpeg. I do a lot of graphics work and want to capture as png.
Here there are instructions for code in Terminal. Is that really necessary? Shouldn't it just be a preference somewhere? (I will always use cmd+shift+4 to take the screenshots)

The pre-dominantly purple color is the same purple as my wallpaper. The rest of the stuff (the white lines, the gray on the left)-- I have no idea.
When I try to make a custom DVD using Toast, I am not able to see scenes to choose from, only file names on the DVD I want to choose from. How do I choose scenes?

When I play them using VLC and switch the video to a different scene (say 20 minutes ahead), artifacts appear throughout the video for a few seconds and then it disappears. I have this on about half of my MKV 1080p Videos. Is this normal? This only occurs when I manually switch to a different scene. If I play the video straight through then it plays fine. This occurs on both my Mac Pro and Windows Vista Computer. Are my videos corrupt? I don't notice this on my Mac Pro when using Movist when switching scenes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've copied all of my dvd's using Handbrake to my portable harddrive. For some reason some of the movies when I click on them wont let me skip to different scenes. It's like you have to watch the whole movie or let the movie load for 30 minutes completely to then skip to the scene you want. Does anyone know why some movies will let me skip to any scene and then others will make me wait for it to completely load? I don't know if this makes sense or not but thanks for the help.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing my network mobile account, when I type in my password to login from the screensaver it takes a very long time and then goes back to the screensaver. Actually it takes a long time to accept my password always. Is it possible that it is timing out at the screensaver. If I type in the name and password for the admin account for the local login it works right away. The machine is a macbook pro 2.53 ghz mid 2009 model. it's running 10.5.8.

I try on vista x64 ultimate - VLC, mediaplayer clasic - frames. OSX - VLC, QuickTime, frames. When I see the movie only in window. All is Ok.

It started off well and an hour into the movie, the screen just froze. Nothing working out, I restarted my macbook the hard way, and it did to me another time again. I had to watch the movie in a normal window not for itunes to crash.
