MacBook :: Screen Just Froze While Watching ITunes Rented Movie
Aug 17, 2009
Since nothing was on my calendar for tonight I decided to rent the movie Miss March and play it on my one week old uMBP 13'. It started off well and an hour into the movie, the screen just froze. Nothing working out, I restarted my macbook the hard way, and it did to me another time again. I had to watch the movie in a normal window not for itunes to crash.
I quit iTunes and my rental movie disappeared after watching half of the movie. The rental sidebar disappeared as well. What do I do to retrieve my movie?
I rented it and it said done in the download and the Rental ribbon never popped up and I can't find it anywhere (and no I haven't watched it yet or even started it)
Rented a movie from iTunes on my MacBook Air. The download completes but the movie won't play. It says that iTunes can't execute my request and that I should try again later. The error message number is -42110. Been trying later for two days and nothing's changed. Still get the same error message. What's odd is if I check for available downloads, it downloads the movie all over again expct it still won't play.
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), MB Air, AppleTV, iPad 2, iPhone 4S
I am currently relaxing on the nice Beach of jamaica and have rent a movie from my German iTunes store. After clicking "Rent" and confirming the movie is not appearing under the "Download" Tab in iTunes neither in the Library.
I just rent a movie via iTunes. It said the movie was ready to be played although it is still downloading so I wanted to start playing. My Problem is, that the movie does not start. It is stuck on a black screen. If I move the slider on bottom I can see pictures of parts of the movie that have already been loaded. But I cannot start playing them as a film.
Same thing with Trailers in the Store. iTunes was updated yesterday and also Quicktime is up to date and I also tried the repair function of it. Running Win 7 Professional, 64 bit. Because the rental period now expires in 48 hours (because I clicked on "play movie"). As a "workaround" I tried to play the Movie on my MacBook Pro but it says the rented film is now been authorised to my PC.
Friend rented a movie through iTunes and was watching it on her MacBook Pro. After about an hour it stopped, and wouldn't continue. She could go back to the beginning and start over, but when she tried to move past the point at which it had stopped, it would not.Â
I rented a movie in iTunes and using the movies tab of my iPad, I clicked "Move" to move the movie over to the iPad. WHen I sync the device, it goes through the motions and after finishing, it moves the movie back over the iTunes side of the display. Effectively, not transferring the rented movie.I tried this same thing on my iPhone and got the same result.I'm using the latest version of iTunes and the iOS 5.1 on both the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4.
I have downloaded the recent iTunes 10.6. I would like to watch rented movies on my MacBook Pro without having an internet connection (ie from the plane). Is this possible? I don't see any recent posts discussing this topic.
I rented a movie on my Mac, with the intention to then transfer it to my ipad 3 and watch it there. When I transfered it to the ipad, somehow something happened and it dissapear. I have been trying to re-download it whithout success because just before it finishes, and error appears.
I rented a movie on iTunes via my iPad.It loaded properly. I hit play and Air Play so it would connect to my Apple TV. I can now HEAR the movie, but I cannot see it (having said that, I see the movie, still, on my iPad screen....). Apple TV and AirPlay work fine with youtube videos and previously bought movies.
I am unable to play a rented movie. I keep getting an error 5103. I have downloaded the latest iTunes and am using a new MacBook Air. There doesn't sem to be any info about error 5103 in support.
Today I rented and downloaded a movie from the iTunes store. Got about 5 minutes into it and the playback froze.... I tried to fast forward... Nothing. Tried to rewind. Nothing. So I closed iTunes completely and reopened. Now when I try to play the rental, I just get a black screen. I don't want to waste $4.
I rented a movie, some 3 hours ago. It said that my start up disk is full and therefore it couldn't download. I deleted many of my pictures, movies I had made, music I had bought and so on and so forth. And yet to my great disappointment, I still cannot download that movie.
this evening I rented the film "Once."After it finished downloading, I hit play, got the 24-hour notice, and continued, but then I got this nasty error:So, I'm not able to watch the movie. And not too happy about it.
I recently downloaded a movie off of Itunes and started playing it. Halfway through it froze. It's like an invisible wall, I can't get any further than it.
im a new member and im experiencing problems with my macbook manufactured in 2007. So today i was watching a film on my macbook which is connected to my HDTV and while watching the movie on the TV the screen on the macbook went black. I thought this was unusual so i went to move the cursor and press any keys and nothing happened. I turned the macbook off and a white screen came up for a sec and then the same black scree. I tried resetting the PRAM and nothing. I used a flashlight to see if i would see a faint desktop in the display to see if it was the inverted or back light, but there was nothing. The macbook responds perfectly, i connected it again to the TV and i can use it through that screen, but the display on the macbook is still black. I would highly appreciate it if you guys would be able to diagnose anything based on the symptoms i just described,
