OS X Mountain Lion :: Communication Failure To HP Printer 6510

I have a wireless printer that has stop working..HP 6510..
when i try to print the queue says the uri is incorrect or no longer exists and then pauses the printer with the statement Communication failure..Â
Yet.. when i go to the printer setup and look at the options i'm able to see the printer and send a test print, can't from the queue itselfÂ
I've tried reloaded the latested driver,,,re installed... verifying disk permissions.. i can ping the printer, get to it via a web page,,,Â
Note when i try to build the printer during the final set up it says communication error..Â

I use MacBook Pro and I updated from the Snow Leopard to Mavericks, OS 10.9.5. My printer is Epson Photo R2000 WiFi Wireless.Before I updated, I very seldom had problems printing. Now after updating to Mavericks, I very very often get a 'Communication Error' , then
'Printing - looking for printer', then 'Printer not connected'. and if I click off and on the 'pause' feature several times, often up to 7 or 8 times, it will eventually print. Apple would probably say this is Epson's problem and Epson would probably say this is Apple's problem. but it is very difficult to complete my projects when I can't get the equipment to work properly.Â

Wireless printing has suddenly stopped working. It worked one minute, then a few minutes later didn't! Is this an OS problem? Using Airport Extreme for wireless and everything has been fine for 4 months with iMac and old Macbook.

I have a canon mx700 printer.I just upgraded to snow leopard 10.6.8 and now my printer is no longer working.This is probably the 50th time I have had this problem. It always occurs whenever I update my apple software. I have tried reseting my settings, updating my drives and trying to connect the printer directly into my computer and over my network without any success. Upon resetting my drives I keep getting this error  a communication error has occurred.

I recently upgraded our iMac OS to 10.7. Now the computer doesn't recognize the Epson Workforce 845 printer. I uninstalled the printer in system preferences. Now what do I do to install the printer again and use it wirelessly?

I have a Brother MFC-9340CDW WIFI printer which my iMac says it can't find sometimes when I want to print. I think I have narrowed the problem down to when my MacBook Air is on at the same time and using WIFI on the same network If I turn off WIFI on the MacBook I can print from my IMac. I am not sure if it is a router problem or what but we use the iMac and MacBook Air at the same time quite often. Checked on the Brother website - nothing.Â

I have installed the generic PCL Laser Printer driver in order to use my Samsung ML-6060 printer, because Samsung no longer supports this printer for macs.Â
For several weeks the generic driver worked beautifully. Now I'm having a problem. When I print a document the printer puts out a blank page other than the letters OE in the upper left corner. The next page is the document itself. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver with no success.Â
P.S. I need to correct my computer description. I have returned to System 10.8.5 on my Mac Pro (early 2008) desktop.

I would like to use a perfectly good Canon Pixma ip4200 printer with OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and  Yosemite 10.10.1 on my 2013 model iMac but Canon say they do not do a driver for these more recent versions of OSX later than 10.7. Is there any way to get this to work?

I want to connect a wireless Epson XP 510 printer. Installed drivers from the Epson website but they do not appear to be compatible according to the drop down list in the apple menu for adding a printer.

Macbook Pro won't boot. Symptoms preceding failure included failure to open Firefox. When trying to cold boot I can get as far as the start-up sound, the Apple logo, and the spinning whieel (spins for a bit but not for very long) and then major failure. Not running Liom.

I was having problems printing from my Canon LBP6000. Print jobs remained held in the queue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Mac CAPT Ve r340 driver from Canon's website, no improvement. The printer works fine with my Windows laptop. I found an option to remove all printers from the Print preferences section. I can't remember how I did this, but all printers were removed. I reinstalled the above driver, but now in the 'print & scan' - 'add printer' section, I have no printer options. And no idea how to get printer options.

I have an iMac 27" (intel 3.4 GHz, Intel core i7, and 16 GB memroy) purchased a few months ago. It is running the latest version of Lion 10.7.4 I run this computer on our network along with a iMac 24" 3.5years old and a Macbook Pro 2.5year old.Â
This computer seems to have a beef with the Hewlett-Packard printer (HP colour laser jet CM1312nfi MFP) which I have had for about 3 years. I can not get the new computer to work with the printer properly. It allows printing but it pauses all the time when you resume the print it starts printing from the begining of the document againIt will pause any prints sent to it across the network after the first 1 or 2 pages are printedIt won't allow scanning at allWhen you launch the scanner it takes forever to connect (3 - 4 mins)If you try to scan using any of the scan options (if it loads the devise) it then states it can not connect to the device, or all the scan buttons apear but greyed out.This is odd as it will still allow printing??Â
Also, all the other PC's have the same version of Lion 10.7.4 and have the latest HP Driver installed (these were released on the 14 Dec 2011). Other useful infoThe scanner is hard wired to the 27" machineYou can only use the printer if one scanner is hard wired as it does not have wirless capacity.I have uninstalled and installed the software more times than i can count trying all different trouble shooting etcI can only conclued that there is somthing the 27" machine is doing to prevent the scnanner registering properlyNone of the other computers can use the scanner correctly either. As you can only scan a page at a time using the "Scan" button. If I wish to scan multiple pages on with either of the other computers I need to use the "scan to folder" button.Â

I switched my EpsonR320 from my PC (where it works fine) to my Mac Mini. I downloaded the proper driver. It just says "communication error" when I try to print. I've tried several printer cables, to no avail. If I bring up the printer window it says "printer ready", until I actually ask it to print and then I get that error message.

I installed 10.7.4 on an iMac that was running an 10.7.3, and which was updated only last weekend. After 10.7.4, the computer indicated I had to reboot. after the reboot, I hear the chimes, then only a gray screen. Nothing else. Tried safe mode by holding down shift key after chimes, but problem persists.

Yesterday I tried to begin a capture of material for a new project. After repeated attempts to reboot, examined all connections, I decided the RS-232 cable must have gone bad. Drove 140 RT to replace it. This morning I did and found no difference.Â
My next step was to upgrade the firmware on the Kona 3 board and did so. Ran Aja VTR Xchange - beautiful picture and synched time code but the one box says " NO VTR connected".....Â
Decided to try running FCP and open the Log and Capture window to see what it said. Same thing. Nice picture SMPTE time code appears to be fine- "No Communication". So ...Â
Now I am down to the deck controls and some hidden internal settings having changed somehow, or continued software incompatibility.Â
I have had splendid synchronization between all of these devices.Â

It seems that one minute FCP setting is off now. I've gone through the Audio/ Video settings and will return to all the preferences settings.

After the disaster getting Quicken for Mac 2007 (or earlier) to sort-of work on Lion, has anyone checked if the Lion Compatible Quicken for Mac works on the new Mountain Lion operating system? Even though this isn't an Apple problem, I know I'm not the only person who would love to update to a new Mac; however, they all come with Mountain Lion, and many of us are terrified of losing financial data if there's another

My Hard drive has become corrupted and is going to need reformat. I have managed to mount the iMac as a firewire drive on my Macbook and pulled off quite a bit of data. The repair utility wont fix the drive so I have no choice other than to reformat. Â

after upgrading to lion, seems like there is a plug-in issue - not sure if it's in safari or quicktime (i think the former). any idea on how to fix so you can view quicktime videos on web? already tried to reload latest (version 11) adobe flash without success.

2009 Macbook Pro 15.4" 4gb RAM (Unibody)HD 500.11 GB FUJITUS MJA2... I tried to install an update for 10.7.4 via the combo package. The update says it failed so I tried to install it again- every time I got to finalizing/moving things around stage of the update it would say that it failed. I believe it may have succeeded, at least partially. I went to restart my machine and now I am stuck at the Apple logo Grey screen. I have tried the following: Shift for safemode: it got me through to user login once, but then I hit restart and reset the PRAM and after that no more safe mode success.Safemode now fills up the progress bar to a certain point and then the bar just disappears and I'm left with the spinning gear of infinity. Verbose mode/single user mode: got me to a screen white text ending in: "mac framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 10240 cluster I0 buffer headers"There is no input allowed.Target mode successfully gives me the target symbol, but I have not tried to access it as a drive.
I have managed to boot into CMD-R recovery mode and tried to repair my disk. Unfortunately it reads in red 'Error: Disk Utility can't repair this disk....disk, and restore your backed-up files.' Upon 'Verify Disk' it red errors out with: Invalid node structure. The volume Macintosh HD coudl not be verified completely. Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Click Repair Disk.
when I try to do other boot-key combos sometimes it will just turn on for a brief second and then turn back off again. I have never tinkered around inside my machine either.I don't have a current backup, I suppose that is what I will be doing now via target mode. I have also checked for the flashback virus a couple weeks ago and was in the clear.

My company uses Office 365 for hosted Exchange email. We have 1 user who uses Apple Mail on OSX 10.7 to connect to the server in Exchange mode (using EWS). This was working great until a few days ago where he has sporadic connection problems. Reproducable situation below:
1) Select 100 emails in any given folder
2) Drag/drop those emails into another folder to move them there
3) They will start moving but it will fail at somepoint and give the message "Cannot execute move operation".
4) After that message appears it is usually several minutes before he can try again or send any emails.
5) Trying to send an email immediately after the error message results in the "Cannot send message using the server" dialog where you are prompted to select a different server to send the message. Choosing an SMTP server results in the message being sent but sometimes (and only sometimes) the message is resent a couple of hours later through the exchange system.

When trying to do a video chat, a friend of mine continues to get the same error message with anyone who he tries to video chat with. The computer is a July 2009 MBP 15in running Leopard. The only thought is that it is wirelessly connected to the internet but with speeds around 10Mbits so that shouldn't be a problem.

I am using a Lacie LittleDisk Firewire 320GB as my Time Machine back up disk. Using Time Machine worked fine until a few months ago - there was an unnammed error; it simply says that it was unable to complete the backup and that I should try again later as it may be temporary, or, if the problem persists, repair the disk in Disk Utility. Well, the problem has persisted, and when I try to repair the disk in Disk Utility it hits an error in that too - it says it's unable to unmount the disk and so can't continue.

Just upgraded to Lion 10.7.4, then the video stopped playing in Safari. Upgraded Safari, then installed the latest Flash player, V. 11.2.202.235. Also have the latest graphic card drivers. I am beginning to remember the nightmares we used to have when we upgraded Windows. I don't want to change anything any more. Apple is beginning to suck. I only went to Lion because Apple forced me because of iCloud. MANY REGRETS NOW.Â
I was going to upgrade my wife's laptop tomorrow. Now I won't until someone helps me fix my computer. MacPro 2008.  HOW DO I FIX THIS?

I get a persistent and annoying pop-up that says "internet connect cannot open your communication device"--even when I am already connecting fine (through airport express). And from what I understand, Leopard doesn't even HAVE internet connect. I'm really stymied. Someone else suggested it was an Entourage schedule problem, but that advice didn't work either.
