Dec 7, 2014After having had communication problems abroad using a 3G key Internet connection ( bad signal, jumping back to 2G, aborting connection suddenly, ...) I receive now systematicaly a copy of a mail I sent, one day before, to someone else, in a mailbox "recovered messages" (this is however my translation of the french name of the mailbox: ( "Messages récupérés - IMAP"). Deleting this message does'nt cure the problem: the message comes again (I do'nt know from where) and again. How to stop this reoccurant mail?

Aug 26, 2014When you compose a Mail message, if you double-click the send button it sends TWO copies of the mail? I just sent someone a message, and my hand accidentally clicked the mouse twice when I hit send. I heard two whooshes and saw two message windows briefly appear. And sure enough, two copies listed in the Sent folder. I thought I'd sent an earlier draft which was sitting behind the first message. But no -- I tried it again with a new message to myself. And I received two mails.Â

Aug 25, 2014I upgraded to Mavericks and one of the widgets that was in the + area has been duplicated on my dashboard and I can't get rid of them. There is no 'manage widgets' button like there was in Snow Leopard. I can't get those little Xs to appear, unless I want to delete the widget entirely.

Jun 1, 2014I have sent a message with Apple Mail 7.3 on Mac with OS X Mavericks 10.9.3, and it shows DUPLICATED in the Sent mailbox of Mail. I mean, two entries with the very same message inside are displayed, yet, as said, I only sent it once! I am using POP.Â
Selecting "Mailbox - Rebuild", quitting and opening Mail, repairing permissions with Apple Disk Utility, restarting the Mac, and even resetting the PRAM does not fix it. I have seen the following article, but cannot find the "MessageSorting.plist" in Mavericks that it indicates: How to Fix Duplicate Emails Sent From Apple Email..URL....
how to prevent this duplication behavior (beyond deleting one of such messages, which, of course, I can do); I mean, to fixing whatever is corrupted and prevent such behavior happening again in the future? What is the equivalent of "MessageSorting.plist" in Mavericks to do what indicates the above article?Â

Jun 25, 2012I have Lion 10.7.4 on 2010 MBP. I use the mail program on the Mac. I have 20 Smart Mailboxes set up and each is working fine. Yeterday I set 5 Smart Mailbox Folders and placed each Samrt Mailbox in the appropriate Smart Mailbox Folder. At the end of the day i turned the MBP off. This morning when I opened mail all my Smart Mailbox Folders were gone. My Smart Mailboxes are still there.Â

Jul 2, 2012I love Smart Mailboxes in Apple Mail. I have been getting emails from a subscribed content provider and now I realize that I'd like to have a Smart Mailbox with all of the past and future mailings from them. Is there any way to select just one (or all) of the emails I have received and create a Smart Mailbox with a single menu selection? I have tried selecting one of them, then 'New Smart Mailbox...' bt it doesn't recognize I have a selection...or doesn't put the sender of the email nto the recipient field (which is the default criteria in a new Smart Mailbox'). If it doesn't now do this, hey, Apple, future feature?

Nov 20, 2007I can't seem to be able to print multiple copies of a document in Leopard. I've tried 3 different network printers (2 windows printers, 1 direct IP printer) using 3 different MacBooks. All running 10.5.1. It'll print 1 copy just fine, but that's it. If you want multiple copies you have to keep sending it to the printer, which is a pain.
Can anybody try printing 2 or more copies with a local printer and see if that works? I think I may have found my first truly annoying Leopard bug

May 27, 2012I have noticed that when Mail is downloading my new email, and I look at the "Mail Activity" box in the lower right corner of the application, it seems to be downloading double the mail I am seeing. For instance, if I see 6 new emails, there will be a blue bar and the message "downloading X of 12 messages" as they come in. It doesn't seem to happen with my Mobileme account, just with my IMAP account from GoDaddy. Only the correct number of messages appear visible in my Inbox. I deal with large files on a regular basis, I really don't want my storage to double, and it just seems like something is wrong that should be fixed.Â

Sep 16, 2009I have gmail set up on my mac & iphone as IMAP. Works great, except for a weird deal whenever I send mail. After the email has been sent, if I go to trash, I'll find multiple copies of the sent email sitting there. I.E.- today I sent a single email(not a reply), and there were 16, yes 16 copies of that sent email in my trash. There was only one copy in the sent mail folder. It's a pain deleting all this stuff.

Apr 11, 2012Recently, my Apple Mail has been sending from two to six copies of email, timed to the same minute. I've taken to using Thunderbied (which I don't prefer) to avoid it. My theory is that if I can reload Lion it might cure it, but since Lion only comes as a download, I don't know how.

Aug 28, 2014I run Contacts on both my iPad2 and my iMac; I find that in the listing to the left of the Contacts on the iMac, 'All iCloud' appears twice; one with 519 entries (which is correct) and the other with 78 entries, 77 of them also in the other one. They are synced via iCloud, not iTunes; I've tried to sort this by exporting the vCards to my desktop and then attempting to trash Contacts and reinstall but this is not permitted as it's 'required by OSX', which seems reasonable. It sometimes becomes a problem when I'm using lists and discover that some people are not on the list I am using because - for some inexplicable (to me, at least) reason, they're on the other iCloud list.

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Epson Laser Prints Low On Multiple Pages / Copies
Mar 12, 2012I have an Epson AcuLaser C2600 which I got some years ago and which has run fine on 10.3, 10.4 and until recently on 10.6. It has suddenly started printing second and later copies of a single page document about 3cm lower on the page than it should. It does the same on pages after the first page in multi-page documents. This does not always happen but does for much or even most of the time. This happens in various applications. Sometimes the printer shows a 'Check paper size' warning but does not stop.
Discussions with Epson have led to checking Print and Fax preferences, Page Set Up, Extended Printer Settings (all of which I'd done) and making some changes to the printer control panel connected to Paper Size and Auto Continue. The problem remains and discussions continue. It is worth commenting that something like this seems to have been an Epson issue for some time but the suggested solutions have not worked for me.
I have stuck on 10.6.7 because there seemed to be a number of printer issues with 10.6.8 and as everything was fine (and I like a quiet life). I have made no OS updates so it is hard to understand why this has suddenly started (unless it is a hardware issue). I recently installed Pages 4.1, the only other changes have been things like updating browsers (and adding a couple of extensions) and other applications.

Under Trash I have 'POP Account' and 'On My Mac'
When I select a message and press delete I get a warning saying:
The message ... could not be moved to the mailbox Deleted Messages POP Account
The destination mailbox Deleted Messages POP Account does not allow messages to be moved to it.
I can drag a message to the 'On My Mac' folder and select delete and this removes the email - but seems wrong.
This is my first mac (first day), im used to a deleted message going to a bin which you choose to empty as and when.

Just last week, i received an email from the server saying my mailbox is full, but it all came in Hebrew. I live in Israel. Why: sometimes I need to use a US proxy setiings in brouser (to purchase @ US stores that block foreign IPs). On the other hand I have my main everyday Firefox set up for my everyday needs. Switching settings is quite annoying. I just had a separate copy of FF on my PC for use with US proxe settings before i moved to iMac.
