Apr 24, 2012i cannot insert a CD into my macbook. last time i burned CDs about a month ago, all was fine. there is no CD currently in the drive.

MacBook :: Unable To Insert CD In SuperDrive
Jul 15, 2009So, I was using my UB MacBook earlier today. I had a CD in the superdrive. I was shutting down the computer, and all of a sudden, as the screen was going black, the disk in my computer came out half way and the superdrive made a noise. I quickly restarted my computer to see what went wrong. I tried putting the CD back in, it didn't work. You all know how the slot loading superdrives suck in CDs. I now slide the CD in, and it won't get sucked in. In fact, the whole CD won't even go in. A little bit of it still sticks out. So now I'm stuck with a dead superdrive wondering what to do to fix it.

Jun 30, 2010I put in a cd that my computer was unable to read. I tried to eject it using disk utility but it failed. I read that another option was to restart the computer and hold down command, option, o, and f at the same time to open disk firmware to eject it. instead of actually working, my computer froze at the rstart screen, and i have no idea what to do - and i am unable to insert a disc.

Dec 30, 2009I made a backup image file of D2 LOD and im trying to install it again but the installer keeps telling me that i need to insert disc. So my question is, how do i mount this image so that the installer can use it.
Clarification: I lost the original cd so i just have this backed up image, so the image is legit.I just wanted to play this game and i dont wanna have to go buy the disk again.

Oct 29, 2008so i have my two disks to redo the hard drive so i did that and i wanted the hard drive erased so i chose that option i put the first disk in it checked the disk then installed then asked for the second disk...no checking just an error message that i should check the disk and the internet connection ok well internet is fine checked the disk called apple and verified that i had the right disk and not my imac one.....im lost and kinda need my laptop i have a leopard disk i tryed - put it in turned the computer off turned it back on pressing c installed it and after it said sucsessful instalation we need to restart bam the restart page was please insert disk 2 for the sake of trying again i did ta da error message -sigh-

Apparently if I hold down the 'D' key whilst booting then the machine should start the AHT, but mine doesn't.I need to insert the Applications DVD in order for the AHT to start.Is there any way I can install the AHT? Was it removed when I reinstalled SL?I also wish that Apple added some more information to the startup screen (like most BIOS based computers) - e.g. press 'C' to boot from CD ROM, press 'D' for AHT etc, because right now there's just no feedback or information for the user :-s

When I insert/take out my earphones in/out of the headphone jack it takes OSX about 12 seconds to figure out I have done that and switch audio output settings & set the volume. All those 12 seconds the system seems to be like hung with the colored spinwheel cursor spinning. I have resetted PRAM, and also upgraded 10.5.7 to 10.6.1 but the problem is still here.

I click the button "alt" and I choose the option Macintosh HD and the computer works. But I can't do this procedure always. This problem started after install the Paragon software to save my files on the external hd. How can I fix that?
