I am trying to insert multiple pictures at once into a word document, on office for mac 2011. I am using the 'insert picture' option from the toolbar. Shift-click doesn't work like on a PC, and I have tried a variety of button combinations that don't seem to have any effect! Is there any way around this so I don't have to insert picture files into a word document one at a time?

how to embed an image with a link, or embed a Microsoft Word document with a hyperlink built within the document -- not as an attachment into my email -- but where it shows as the email content when opened! Does ANYONE know the secret? Can it be done, or not? My PC clients do it all the time easily. Then I want to be able to send the embedded image/document (not as an attachment, but visable within the email when opened) to many email contacts at once, BUT the individuals receiving them DO NOT SEE the other email contacts.

I have a Mac OS X version 10.5.7 i am working on Word 2008 for Mac, version 12.0.1 (080305).
My problem, i created one text box in a document, somehow 2 more appeared. I made the mistake of thinking that to delete the extra text boxes, i simply highlight them and delete them. Silly stupid me, nothing that simple exists and i have wasted an hour trying to figure it out. The help button does squat, barely gives you any info on a text box much less trying to delete it. Does anyone know how to delete a text box in a word document?
I have been working on a template where I have placed a two column table on the front page, left side being for a graphic for a letterhead, and right side column for text.
My problem is that on the second page, I would like the document to continue on without any table. I would like for the text to flow from the table into regular margin document on the second page. Is there a way to do this?
I have been trying to get Microshaft word 2008 for Mac to start page numbers only on page 3.
I have a title page, a table of contents, and then the body of my document.
I have created a section at the bottom of the table of contents. Then in the footer, to the next section, I have tried to insert page numbers. BUT it routinely adds page numbers to the bottom of the first section as well. SO I have page 1 on the title page, page 2 on the table of contents; then I have page 1 on the first page and so on.
Is there a way to insert a selected template after, for instance, the cover page of a document, or anywhere else for that matter? If not, can I merge the template with an already created document?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is an issue w/ every word processor I've ever tried to replace Word w/- the only reason I still use it is because it has an easy way to start a new chapter w/ a page number other than one. I am very saddened to see that Pages is also incredibly complicated in what should be a simple task.
I write novels. I prefer to have my chapters as their own document. I am not interested in "master documents" or any of the Open Office "solutions" that were so annoying (and confusing). When starting a new chapter- let's say "Chapter Five"- if Chapter Four ended on page 126, obviously Five should start on 127. I have spent the last hour trying to figure out how to do this, on several different message boards. Can it be done or not? I can't believe MS is the only company in the world to make this an easy task- of all companies to make something "easy". Word is my last piece of ANY MS software- I'd love to be done w/ it, and Pages looks great and is very, very intuitive- but this issue has driven me nuts for years. Again, I am not interested in any solution other than what I'm asking about. If it can't be done, I will continue to use Word, although I've paid for Pages and really feel suckered by this.

I'm using MacBook Pro 10.5.8. I'm having trouble with microsoft 2004. When I select text from a portion of the document (like a paragraph) to change its property (like make it bold, or shift a block of text over by a tab), the whole document (everythiing else that i did not select) moves. This can happen to 200 pages! It's driving me nuts. It's also doing it to new documents. I have thrown away my preferences file: preferences/com.microsof.Word.plist; and restarted my computer but it keeps happening. I'm trying to finish a huge writing project with deadlines at the end of the week and it's making it really difficult to work.

Every time I try to open an existing document or save a new one Microsoft word crashes. I am able to start a new document but if I try to save it all of the action/editing buttons fade/unhighlight (save, print, quit, copy paste, etc) and I am ubable to do anything. However, most of the buttons in view, history, bookmarks, tools, window & help still work. Then I have to force quit because the option to quit is no longer available.
