I get this in a box on my desktop, it is a recent development. In the box, with the red octagonal shape with an exclamation point it says:
IP Configuration
192.168.2.101 in use by 00:23:32:58:d5:ea DHCP Server 192.168.2.1
Every time I open Safari or Firefox, the pages take forever to load. I keep getting the color wheel and often have to force quit. I don't think it's the internet signal because I've tried it in 2 different locations (home and work) and the results are the same. I can't load videos (like those on Hulu). My computer memory is about half full, so I don't think it's that. This is a recent problem (within the last week).
View 1 Replies View Related I downloaded java couple weeks ago, and my browser start to open ads instead of the website i want. Also, when I open the website I want some words appear bold and have link, where on my phone it appears as normal text when I am browsing on my phone.

my navigation browser is gone. Basically I can't type any address such as facebook or yahoo. How can I make it back?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI began to have this same problem on my old MacBook within the last year...but I now have a brand spanking new MacBook Air (as in 1 week old) and it's worse than ever. Â
Extremely often - sometimes 2 out of 3 webpages, it seems - the browzer says it can't find the server or otherwise won't open a page (takes veeeery long to do so. Then eventually gives me a "can't find" screen when I try to click around.). There's nothing wrong w the internet - it works just fine on my husband's computer. Sometimes it helps to switch browzers but mostly not.

After installing Lion, Text Edit & Pages hangs when closing or saving. Have to force quit, and often FQ will not do it and have to shut down manually.Â

I am trying to type 0000 into pages, but as soon as i do that, it changes into 0. How can i fix this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running a 2x3.2 quad core g5 with 12 gigs of ram, but lately, my browser speeds have plummeted. Regardless of browser (default is firefox, but it also happens in chrome and safari), my pages are loading extremely slowly. However, the web browser(s) seems to be the only part of the internet that's lagging. World of Warcraft ping is almost always around 30ms, even a time zone away. And my speed tests verify that everything is fine - 5/6 megs down, and .5-.6 megs up.
what would be slowing my browser down? Funny thing is the only site that loads as it should is a google search through the toolbar of firefox. Any other bookmarked site takes 3-5 seconds at the very least...sometimes up to 10-15+ seconds.
Is it possible to move a pages file into a folder in the browser?

My wife just got a new iMac and it's worked perfectly until today.Suddenly web pages aren't loading correctly. No images load--only text and links down the left-hand side. This happens in Safair, Firefox, Chrome.

I recently switched from windows Microsoft Word to Mac pages. I just wanted to know how, when I press tab to go to a new bullet indent level, I can make it do a certain order (Circular bullet, dash, Another kind of bullet, etc.) without changing the type of bullet through the inspector each time.

slight scratch noise comes from the lid when i am closing, the noise is annoying me and happened a few weeks ago.
Do you think it is a fault ?
There is a small crackling noise when I close my MBP lid. It seems like the joints are really dry and need oil almost. Is this normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought a MBP this February. For some reason, it won't go to sleep if I close the lid -- I have to manually go to the apple menu and press sleep. Any ideas? I tried a clean install, still no luck.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI know this may seem silly to ask, but I have read that the hinge is a bit vulnerable on the macbook pro, & mine will mostly be at home on a desk, but I may occasionally take it out. When I have it at home & shut down for the day, will closing the lid, & then opening it the next day weaken it? could I just leave the lid open when the laptop is shut down at the desk?

I have an old MBP laying around that is not worth selling due to a number of little issues it has. However, it still functions just fine and, I think, would make an excelent server. However, there is one small issue: If I close the lid, it will go to sleep.Â
I've tried using a few different apps, InsomniaX and Caffiene being two of the more popular ones, but so far nothing seems to take. I know I can do this with the use of an external monitor or mouse, but I don't want to have to keep a mouse plugged in simply so my server can run and I don't have, or want, to set up a monitor for it.Â
how I can make my MBP behave as I'd like?

I have a macbook pro mid 2012, and when I close the lid of my mac, then when I open it back up, it just won't start up again, it would just show a black screen, I put my ear on top of where the HDD was mounted onto, and I could hear the sound of the HDD, so I have tried putting in a mouse, normally the LEDs light up, but this time it didn't. So i just thought the HDD was too old, so I got a new western digital blue 1tb HDD, and installed maverick 10.9.4 on it, and I set it up, but it still didn't wok...

When I hit Command Q, in normal cases it should fully close the app, but in my case its only minimising it and restores previously active sessions (eg. on Safari) However when i hit the x button it fully closes the app instead of minimising it.
