Mar 24, 2012I've only have a Macbook Pro running Lion--no iphone or ipad. I've made the movedfrom MobileMe to iCloud. Mail, Contacts, and Calender have uploaded and are there, but the iWork icon sends me to a page that says, "To get started, launch Pages on your iOS device and turn on iCloud." I don't have an iOS device and don't plan on getting one. Can I still get my pages docs from my macbook pro to the iCloud?

Jul 2, 2012i got a macbook pro back in july of 2009.i have recently updated it so it is now running on lion.i have turned on icloud and i am trying to put some of my pages documents into icloud.i go onto icloud.com and i click on iworks.i only have 2 options: learn more and something that says download pages for ios.i tried to manually drag documents onto the screen. it starts to download.

For some reason this doesn't seem intuitive, and I can't figure it out... Everything I read about this just talks about moving from a desktop to iOS devices, which I don't care about. In addition, I have various Pages and Keynote documents in the "Documents" folder. However, it does not show a preview of a Pages or Keynote document as it did before. It just shows a Pages logo on a Pages document and a Keynote logo on a Keynote document. What's going on?

May 14, 2012Having just moved from Snow Leopard to Lion, i reinstalled iWork 08 and tried to carry on work..... . But after the reinstalls, the text in ALL .pages documents doesn't show anymore. I can highlight it and I can see it - but no amount of fiddling with text colour or background colour does the trick. Funnily enough, I can print the documents without any problems.

OS X :: Loading Browser Pages Slow On High End Mac?
Jul 6, 2010I'm running a 2x3.2 quad core g5 with 12 gigs of ram, but lately, my browser speeds have plummeted. Regardless of browser (default is firefox, but it also happens in chrome and safari), my pages are loading extremely slowly. However, the web browser(s) seems to be the only part of the internet that's lagging. World of Warcraft ping is almost always around 30ms, even a time zone away. And my speed tests verify that everything is fine - 5/6 megs down, and .5-.6 megs up.
what would be slowing my browser down? Funny thing is the only site that loads as it should is a google search through the toolbar of firefox. Any other bookmarked site takes 3-5 seconds at the very least...sometimes up to 10-15+ seconds.

Feb 27, 2012Every time I open Safari or Firefox, the pages take forever to load. I keep getting the color wheel and often have to force quit. I don't think it's the internet signal because I've tried it in 2 different locations (home and work) and the results are the same. I can't load videos (like those on Hulu). My computer memory is about half full, so I don't think it's that. This is a recent problem (within the last week).

Jul 6, 2012I began to have this same problem on my old MacBook within the last year...but I now have a brand spanking new MacBook Air (as in 1 week old) and it's worse than ever. Â
Extremely often - sometimes 2 out of 3 webpages, it seems - the browzer says it can't find the server or otherwise won't open a page (takes veeeery long to do so. Then eventually gives me a "can't find" screen when I try to click around.). There's nothing wrong w the internet - it works just fine on my husband's computer. Sometimes it helps to switch browzers but mostly not.

Sep 16, 2010Im really diggin Iwork Pages and have been using it for a few months. However, somehow when working on a multipage document, I attached 2 of the pages together and cannot get them to separate.
The best way to explain it is; if you click on the VIEW / Page Thumbnails your pages will appear down the left column. Normally you can move them around, delete, copy whatever. Somehow 2 of mine only move together and they cannot be separated, moved or deleted without both going.

Only one shows the download options of PDF and Word and shows the first page of the Document in Pages.All the rest show a generic Pages icon on the face of the document and only the option to download as a Pages Document.
