I have a macbook pro and am unable to right click in the SAM software application I am using for a class. I have the trackpad settings on secondary click as two fingers in the bottom right corner, but it doesn't work.

I've got an issue with iPhoto. Whenever I open it, a window opens asking if I want iPhoto to open every time I attach a digital camera, then the rest of iPhoto opens and the application freezes, and I am unable to click anything.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had to dissassemble my wireless Mighty Mouse to clean it properly, as the trackball was unable to scroll up and down. As I had cleaned the trackball, I attached the two internal cables to their respective "slots" again and assembled the mouse.
Now my right button does the same as the left button (right click = left click). I tried dissassembling the mouse again, but I cannot see what I could have done wrong. After all, there are only two cables to attach and de-attach inside it.
Mac OS 10.4.11. iMac G5 and MacBook. Here is the sequence that leads to the freeze.
System Prefs > Dot Mac > Sync When I click on Sync or Advanced Sync (using my G5) the application freezes(surprisingly I am able to click on iDisk in that application before clicking on Sync or Advanced Sync and I'm taken to iDisk window (iDisk storage, etc.). After I click on the iDisk button if I then click on Sync or Advanced it (the application) will freeze. When I use my MacBook I have no problems i.e. none of the problems noted above for the G5.
Prior to September 15, 2010 I used dot Mac on both G5 and MacBook i.e. synch both of them with no problems. However, I renewed my dot Mac account on September 15, 2010 and that seems to be when my problems started.
Running leopard, for some reason, whenever I right click, the application switcher pops up (just as it would if i pressed command+tab). I've rebooted my machine and it still happens.

My MacBook Pro will not open any app or program that requires Internet, even though I am connected to the web. I recently installed Norton AntiVirus and think it may have changed a setting that I couldn't find. I uninstalled Norton and it didn't help. Every time I open Safari, iTunes or any other program that tries to connect to the Internet, it crashes. Strangely enough, Skype still works, but nothing else. I have OSx 10.6.8. I have tried erasing plists, and all the standard troubleshooting, ie resetting modem, restarting computer, reloading Safari from disk.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAbout 10 minutes ago I was transferring some files from a USB stick when my Macbook just stopped responding to the click-pad. I can't right/double-click on anything! The cursor works fine and I can move it around but if I hit the clickpad, nothing happens... I can't get into anything, change anything...
I don't know what to do. I tried using the trackpad to click instead but all that does is give me a lasso tool and still can't click anything but it selects icons on my desktop. It also just selects the top bar automatically but I can't click on anything in the menu.
I thought it was my hardware but I plugged in a mouse and still nothing! I can left-click with the mouse but not right-click. I've tried rebooting and nothing changed.
It's like my right-click is constantly pressed down. But it's not physically.
Also, when I leave it alone it tries to go into the screensaver but constantly comes back out again, so it results in flashing between Flurry and my desktop.
this is pretty strange and I'm wondering if this has occured to anybody. I wasn't able to click anything and the only way to shut down was to force shut down. I found it odd that iStat was working though. I'll stop because a picture is worth 1000 words

If I set the double click speed to its maximum value (System Preferences -> Mouse) I can no longer open with double click folders that are on my desktop while it still works from the finder. I got the same thing from the mouse and from the trackpad. I have OS X 10.5.6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter this 10.6 update I haven't been able to click in the scroll bars in iTunes to jump positions in the window. I have to use the arrows or trackpad/mouse scrolling. It's a small thing, but I have a lot of playlists and it's really annoying. I haven't had this problem with any other software. I'm running OS 10.6.8 on a Macbook Pro.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI booted my new 2009 iMac this afternoon and when it came up there was no taskbar across the top. I could not click on the icons on the dock either. the mouse worked and the desktop was there. I have a mouse on my Logitech keyboard and it worked so I know the keyboard did. I had no way to shut down so I held the button down till the machine powered down and it did in a second or so.
I waited about a minute and booted back up again and all came up like normal except the hard drive was running like crazy and the machine was super sluggish.After about a minute the hard drive quit running and all seemed normal.
I shut down like normal and then shut off the surge strip machine is plugged into to have a total power cut. Let sit about 2 minutes powered back on and booted machine and it booted like normal and acts perfectly normal. What caused the anomaly???
Never done it before and machine is about 2 months or old or so. Bought it as soon as new iMac's were released this year. It is the flagship 3.06 iMac. Bone stock. It has all the latest updates. Running 10.5.7

so here's my problem- when I installed Snow Leopard recently, I opted to not include X11 as one of the "optional" components, and now I am unable to run one of my old occasional-use applications (assuming this is because I don't have X11 available). what I need to know is whether it is possible to simply add that onto my current SL install or if I need to do a complete re-install in order to gain access to the additional components again.

I am connected to the internet via a belkin N+ router..... this is in turn connected to an adsl modem...I am having no problems with the signal to the router but at least four times a day my internet disappears....
When I run Network Diagnostics hey presto, your internet is working fine....The only things I have changed recently was that as I am running osx 10.4.11 I was having that issue where you couldn't access Network in sys pref, it kept saying "your settings have been changed by another application", I found a solution on here whereby you delete the plist prefs and rebuild them... That worked a charm but now I'm wondering is this connected in some way....

I got software from the makers of the belkin N+ wireless usb dongle chip that came with my router (belkin don't provide osx support but said that I could get a utility from the chip makers) I installed this but it never worked so uninstalled it, and ran disk utility and safe boot and pram and fsck (everything I could think of)
I only have one location in network, and airport is the only active network port
any ideas...????
