View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open safari it opens multiple windows (260 to be exact) all of the same website and causing a temporary freeze of my computer. Then safari crashes and I have to force quit. Any suggestions? I have already unchecked restore windows in my system preferences.

Whenever I to open Safari, over 80 windows open immediately. My homepages are two websties and I'll get probably 30 or so windows with my Home "pages" combination, and then another 50 of windows of sites I visted recently. If I proceed to close the windows out, Would reinstalling Safari work? Or does this look like a virus and should I just restore from my time machine backup? My most recent backup is roughly 1 week old and my external has not been connected since this began to happen. It's worth noting this only happens to Safari--Firefox works perfectly fine. No other odd behaviors (ie. system lag, program crashes, etc.) have appeared.Â

Everytime I pop in my USB drive, iPhoto opens.. (of course, because it wants to import pictures. Which might not be what I want to do)Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis just started in the last week or two, but my itunes will be completely closed, and suddenly it opens and play a certain mp3 file, then the next then one more. This isn't any particular playlist or anything. The files are probably all in my download folder and it just goes in order. This happens many times per day. Often times my computer was actually asleep and it wakes it to play these files.
Looking at my console log, I get the following two things right when it happens.
2/3/12 8:48:09.366 AM [0x0-0x1f11f1].com.apple.iTunes: Returning 0x0. Advertising wake service for libraryIdentifier "EA6D19640E6DBDE0".
2/3/12 8:48:20.346 AM [0x0-0x1f11f1].com.apple.iTunes: Version from driver for Certificates 1
So I'm assuming whatever is happening has to do with these log items. How to stop this? It's very bothersome when I'm in the middle of a business call, etc. I need to keep my MBP volume up as well because I have various alerts I need to hear.

My iChat is automatically opening up on startup when I turn on my computer. I do not have the "Open at Login" optiona checked so I know it isn't that. Every time I turn on my computer, iChat opens and logs on and says I'm logged in at 2 different locations even though I know that I am not. I hit 1 to log off the other locations anyways.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo lately I've had this issue when I restart my computer: iPhoto starts up and lags the initial start up of my laptop any time I power up. Not sure if this is a re-post, but i've searched everywhere and haven't found an answer on any post. I do run parallels on my laptop, and when iPhoto starts up on a restart it shows it being connected to my Windows HD. I tried renaming any "image" folder within the HD to a different name - no luck! I have no other external USB devices plugged in. I do not have it set to open at login on the dock, nor is it on my "Login Items".

Whenever I launch Pages, the application opens pretty much all the documents I've worked on. I take care to close all the windows, hoping that they won't launch again next time I start the application, yet they do. I can't find a setting in the preferences or Settings to disable this behavior.Â

Starting about a month ago Safari doesn't open website pdfs. It goes to a new tab/window and returns a black screen. My system is up to date with the latest updates for Apple products as well as for Adobe products. Is anyone else having this issue or know a solution. If I use Firefox it opens the pdf so I have to assume it is something with Safari.
