I am not very computer savvy and just got an external hard drive to store my itunes on. I now have all my music movies and such on there. I would like to hook my mac formatted hard drive up to my ps3 to view these things. However the PS3 does not recognize it. How do I get it to recognize it and let me view this content?

Having tried it, I can say that it seems to work (although you only get the main movie, no menus and such). It's a fairly simple method, and I imagine that, in time, even easier and better solutions will come about.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince I downgraded to iTunes 12 I can no longer see the content on the iPad in iTunes. Is this the most difficult and useless version of iTunes ever? I didn't think it could get any worse but it has now become very difficult if not impossible to navigate. Easy tasks sushi as adding content and deleting it are now not possible. My iPad air2 is a brick.

Google programs won't let me sign in and Safari keeps shutting down. I'm unable to save files to the time machine or airport or a flash drive that's formated for mac. I finally gave up on saving my things and using the recovery disks that came with my computer I reinstalled the system. It took an hour for the disk to run and then I used the second disk to install the apps. However, when the computer rebooted all of my things are still there. MSN messenger for mac, divx, aim, and some other programs that I had installed seprately after purchasing the computer. I wanted factory settings. I told it to formate the hard drive.They might be what's causing my problems? Also, why does the delete button keep taking me off this board and I can't see what I'm typing it keeps scrolling off page!

Earlier tonight I opened iCal, only to find that none of my calendars were there. it was completely empty. However, when I changed the view from "Week" to "Month" all of my events were listed (in the proper color) on the appropriate day, but I still had no list of calendars on the left. Subsequent changes between "Day" "Week" and "Month" view continued to display the events properly, but nothing showed up in the calendar menu on the left.
I repaired permissions same thing happened.I trashed com.apple.ical pref (forgot the exact filename)�same behavior. I use .mac to sync between computers, and I use Missing Sync to sync to a Palm T|X.
I have an older MBP (2.2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 120GB HD) and am having problems with PDF files. Well, I guess it would be better described as annoyances with PDF files. I use Adobe Reader and the lag when scrolling is unbearable. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Can anyone suggest alternate programs that may remedy my problem.

It doesn�t play 720p HD youtube smoothly. Jerky not coz of internet connection as I have 10 Mbps and up.
My question is 2.13 MBA able to handle 720p?
If the next MBA uses i7 (according to Scottdale), will that handle 720p? How about 1080p?
Or maybe 1.86 can handle HD, but I need to optimize it?
Alright so I've delt with the smaller text on the HR AG and for the most part am okay with it. I'd rather have a standard res mate screen but thats neither here nor there.
So I noticed that the screen size of text elements while viewing flash content is very small. I was drafting my fantasy team this past weekend and really had to look hard to read everything. You cant enlarge or shrink the browser window like you can with HTML pages by pinching/pulling on the track pad.
Is there some setting I can adjust to make flash content not be so tiny.
Well i finally decided to go ahead and subscribe to Netflix for the streaming service because I was thinking about getting Apple TV tomorrow. So ive been trying it out on the website. Im having one issue. When i go to all the HD content and try to play it, itll only stream in SD and not in HD. I have the check mark checked to allow it to stream in HD. But it still says not playing in HD. My internet connection is fine. I did a speedtest just to confirm my internet was doing ok and i got 14.14MBPS down and 1.48MBPS up, and this is on AT&T Uverse. anyone have any ideas. I def dont want to get apple tv if i cant stream HD. Ive tried Safari and Firefox. No difference.

I'm working via Safari on an online jigsaw puzzle at http://six.flash-gear.com/npuz/puz.php?c=v&id=3274406&k=25952437. The computer zoomed in on the puzzle...a Mac-based zoom-in menu appeared and accidentally flashed on "zoom in"...and now I cannot undo the zoom. All normal methods fail, and part of the puzzle is off-screen. I don't know how to see the rest of the puzzle now. I thought perhaps deselecting "show all" would help, but it won't let me deselect either.

I noticed that finder is not displaying all files when I look at folders with lots of files in "icon view" mode but they do show up in "list view" Same thing happened with the computer at work. I'm using OS X Leopard on both.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI have a relatively new 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5 MacBook Air, purchased in August of last year. Just recently it started giving me the HDCP error when I tried to play HD TV shows downloaded from iTunes. Given the capability of the display (1440 x 900) this shouldn't be a problem and like I said, I've never had this issue until very recently. I have tried downloading both 720p and 1080p versions of the videos and neither will play for more than a few seconds before the warning appears.
I am not plugging my MacBook Air into an external display. In fact, when I play the videos on my Apple TV v2 (both streaming from my machine and via iCloud directly) they play just fine. I have the lastest EFI firmware installed on my machine as well as all other software updates. I have checked to make sure there are not any partial downloads that could be causing a problem. The error also appears if I try to open the content with Quicktime.

Can I remove or transfer all of the games from a mac book air and an iPhone 4s but not lose the content. Can I have them only available on an ipod or iPad. I´m trying to discover (with AppleCare support) why my new Air has virtually NO space left on the Start Up Disc...EVER. The OTHER files have always been huge and we´ve trashed everything imaginable. The AppleCare rep suggests that I consider wiping my hard drive clean and starting over. I've done that with my Pro and other computers and will not go there unless absolutely necessary. Today my OTHER appeared for a few hours to be the ONLY kind of files on my SU Disk and indicated I had only 4 MB of space left! Right now, it´s reading that I have all categories of files represented again, but OTHER is still over 41 GB big. Days ago, I took off ALL my docs, movies, photos and am still in constant red alert. That´s why I wonder about DropBox. Some out there on the net say it DOES take up space and others say NO.

I try to access gadgetreview.com. The website is fully loaded (status bar) but it won't display the content. The page only show website menu bar & the ad..This happen to both chrome and safari. Other website have no problem. My friend running on the same network didn't have this issue as mind. Furthur more my new ipad having the same problem on only this website , runing on 3G.
