View 3 RepliesI keep iTunes open and running at all times and haven't noticed any issues all day today. I just went into it to play a track and when I opened the album from grid view, the tracks seem to be invisible. I can click on them and play them,If I view in List or Cover Flow views, tracks show up fine. It's only Grid view that has problems. While it does show the grid of album art correctly, it's just when opening an album that a problem occurs. And I've confirmed that it's only in music albums, both in the main library and playlists, but not so in the Grid view of TV Shows; that functions properly and shows episodes when opened.

I just upgraded to OS 10.7. I configured the OS to appear as I want except that one option refuses to keep. Under "Show View Options" (Command+J), I put in the background image I want to appear and I select "Use as Defaults" so the OS knows to use this for every new window. Unfortunately, Lion never gets this right. Some of the windows use the image selected, others uses an older image, then the rest have a white background. I just want one image I select to be consistently displayed throughout. I've run Disk Utility and repaired my permissions, not sure what else to do.Â

I would like to view as Columns but it is grayed out in Finder view options. Why is this? And is there a way to fix it?Â

Earlier tonight I opened iCal, only to find that none of my calendars were there. it was completely empty. However, when I changed the view from "Week" to "Month" all of my events were listed (in the proper color) on the appropriate day, but I still had no list of calendars on the left. Subsequent changes between "Day" "Week" and "Month" view continued to display the events properly, but nothing showed up in the calendar menu on the left.
I repaired permissions same thing happened.I trashed com.apple.ical pref (forgot the exact filename)same behavior. I use .mac to sync between computers, and I use Missing Sync to sync to a Palm T|X.
I have an older MBP (2.2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 120GB HD) and am having problems with PDF files. Well, I guess it would be better described as annoyances with PDF files. I use Adobe Reader and the lag when scrolling is unbearable. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Can anyone suggest alternate programs that may remedy my problem.

In Windows Explorer you can choose what columns appear such as duration, dimensions, bit rate etc but I cannot see anywhere where I can do that.Is it possible in Finder to view this information?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI noticed that finder is not displaying all files when I look at folders with lots of files in "icon view" mode but they do show up in "list view" Same thing happened with the computer at work. I'm using OS X Leopard on both.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a command for iTunes to show you the song that's currently playing (show it highlighted in a visible list in the browser window)? Suppose it's on shuffle and you are separately doing stuff in iTunes like making a different playlist. Can you somehow say, "hey, get me back to the current song and show me what it is"?
Info:iTunes
Maybe this is simple, but I've searched and cannot find an answer. How can i make all my playlists show the same view options? I want, for example, bit rate and sample rate shown on all playlists - but some have them and some don't.I'd also like whatever options I choose to be in the same order left to right, and new playlists to default to my arrangement.Â

How can I view my store purchases? An item got lost in the mail and I need the receipt and for what ever reason it didn't arrive in my mailbox.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Mid-2011, 21.5" iMac running Yosemite v10.10.1. I upgraded from 4 to 8 GB of RAM about a year ago, but I don't think that's an issue with this problem.Â
I can no longer download movie or tv show purchases from the iTunes Store to iTunes v12.0.1 on my iMac. The download starts and lists in the Downloads pane in iTunes. However, once the download has completed and the Download progress bar message changes to "Processing..." iTunes crashes. When I start iTunes back up again, the downloaded movie is not present in my iTunes Movie library. However, if I navigate to the iTunesMovies folder, I can see a folder for the movie and a file instance of the movie (in m4v format) for every attempted download. Something seems to be going wrong with iTunes ability to add the link to the movie file into my iTunes library.Â
I tried adding the movie folder and file manually to iTunes using the iTunes->File->Add to Library... menu option, but iTunes instantly crashes the moment I click the "Open" button in the Add to Library... dialog window.Â
I have several movie purchases and gifts that I'd like to add to my local iTunes library, but this error is blocking me from doing that.
Some weird things about my iTunes library on my iMac:
My iMac does not have a large enough built-in harddrive (only 500 GB) to store my iTunes library. In a prior version of iTunes, I located the library on an external 3 TB USB-3.0 harddrive. I'm wondering if there's a bug in iTunes 12.0.1 that occurs when adding content to the iTunes library when that content is located on an external harddrive, i.e. in a folder other than User{my username}MusiciTunes Media. Perhaps I need to change the iTunes folder structure on the external harddrive to mirror the new folder structure in my User{my username}Music folder. I'm a little leery about doing this as I do not want to break all the links in my iTunes library to existing songs, movies, etc.Â

I just bought a Mac and I'm loving it but I can't seem to make iTune fill up the screen. I've done the zoom thing and it just takes me between the mini-player and a screen that fills up about 1/2 my screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe new itunes 8.1 added the autofill feature, but I don't want to use it, how do I hide the autofill region of the itunes window? It's eating up a bunch of space so that I can see a few less songs on each screen, it clutters up the interface, and I'm afraid I might accidentally click the autofill button. How do I hide the autofill view region in itunes?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have iTunes 9.0.2 and when I first upgraded to 9 I was able to view my Homescreen from the Applications tab and rearrange my apps. Lately all I've been seeing in the Applications tab is a list of my apps with check/uncheck marks next to them. The Homescreen view that should be right next to that is simply not there. Any ideas on what to do (besides reinstalling iTunes)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone have any idea why iTunes 9.2 doesn't seem to wan to remember my view settings for that I've configured for each of the various sections of iTunes (i.e. Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, etc.)?
If I switch to my Apps section, I've noticed that it consistently shows me my list of apps in 'List View' which I hate. If I switch it to Icon View, then go about normal use of iTunes for a while (browse other sections, perhaps sync my iDevice, perhaps quit the app and re-open later to listen to music, etc...), upon returning to the Apps section, it will once again show me my Apps in 'List View'.
This is just one example, but it would seem that all of the view settings across the board are simply not how I had previously set them up, and changing them to the way I would like them to be setup only works temporarily (as everything strangely gets switched back again in the near future).
I have a massive iTunes library. I also know that I have used many iTunes store accounts, is there a way to see what accounts my iMac is authorized to play?
I do not have access to some of them any more and I want to reset the password and update each one to a newer email and write everything down somewhere.

(ex: Working with Core Data, Implementing Push Notification). Certain videos appear to download but when I try to play them, the download starts again. I have "downloaded" the same video 5 or 6 times, and it still won't play. Â
Other iTunes video downloads from iOS Development Resources work without any problems (ex: Ingredients of Great Apps).Â
Specifically: if I am in iTunes, and navigate to iTunes U, then select the iOS Development Videos category, I see a list of all the videos that are available. If I click the little "Get" button for many of the videos in the list, the download process seems to work perfectly (I see the progress of the download in the header section, and it all looks normal). However, as soon as the download is complete, the "Get" button reappears and the video listing looks just like all the other videos that have not yet been downloaded. If I attempt to play the video (select it, and click the Play button) the download starts all over again. I have found one video that actually downloaded, and can be played.Â
Is there a setting that controls this behavior? I haven't been able to find it.Â
