MacBook Pro :: Editing Images Colours?
Aug 31, 2010I know how to change the look of the picture in "ISIGHT", but how can I put color back in certain parts of the picture. A friend helped me with a picture, and I liked it, I would like to add more color to it? Is there a pre-installed app already on any MB or MBP that is almost 2 years old. (16 months old according to coconut battery.) I'm going to keep trying on my own. I might already know, I've never tried to use photo booth on the picture yet. So if I am wrong, let me know what I need to use.

Apr 18, 2009new Dell S2209W monitor to hook up to the Macbook as an external display and so far have been pretty disappointed. Sadly, it's not the monitor I'm disappointed in. First of all, a few comparison shots between the Macbook connected to S2009W and a PC connected to the S2009W:Macbook connected to Dell S2209W:PC Laptop connected to Dell S2209WSo what would you even call that effect? The colors in the shadows looked very dithered or pixelated on the Macbook, yet on the PC laptop the image looks great. Both laptops (the Macbook and PC) are running at the same, native resolution of 1920 x 1080. The wallpapers are scaled the same way on both.

Jul 15, 2009My Macbook appearance now has darkened images with a sharp contrast around the image edges. When I startup, the images look fine until the top menu bar appears at the end. At that point, all images in the dock have a sharper contrast and a darker appearance around the edges. Feb 25, 2009I recently got a new iMac, its been fine, but just today I have opened Numbers and some crazy colours, like a graphics problem have flickered up onto the screen but go away pretty quick, after I have clicked on a few things and stuff.
They tend to be red, yellow and green colours from what i have seen. It has only happened since I opened Numbers, and its all up to date. (Version 1.0.3.) It also flickered up a little on iTunes while Numbers was open, where its has the time bar and song name and stuff.

Sep 23, 2010I've been having trouble calibrating my display on my 2010 Macbook Pro with Spyder3Pro properly. The calibrated profile is much warmer unless looked perfectly straight on, which is impossible, and when the screen is tilted down it becomes a deep yellow. I've tried different ambient lighting sources and screen brightness however none of the profiles look good. Has anyone been able to properly calibrate their 2010 Macbook Pro's screen with a Spyder3Pro?

Sep 13, 2009I can't say I like the appearance of Snow Leopard very much. The menu bar on mine is a rather sick shade of yellow/orange ombre instead of the nice crisp white that it's always been. And the dock has a heavy brown background I wish I could make go away. Transparent was my choice from the previous system.
I seem to remember having lots more choices about the look of my displays. But all I can find on SL is the minimal options on System Preferences. Are there other control panels I can't find?

OS X :: Dock Fully Disappeared When Trying To Change Appearance
Jun 24, 2009I followed some guide on how to change my dock. It was this one. I got up until this bit.
Go to Macintosh HD > /System/Library/Core Services/
Right-Click on "Dock" and select "Show Package Contents"
Go to /Contents/Resources/
Backup the files you are about to replace (Incase you did not listen, here they are)
Move those same original files to the trash
Then I got stuck. I resetted my Mac and now I have no dock ! How do I get my dock back! I have the back up folder, but where the hell do I put it to get back my dock. On the " Dock " icon I have a little circle with a line init. This is what the contents of my Dock folder looks like .. inside " Contents " I have the " Back Up " folder. As you can see I already put in the contents of the Back Up Folder into the Dock folder but nothing has changed. This is whats in my Dock Back Up Folder.

Sep 10, 2014there is anyway to modify the appearance of Calendar and Contacts in OS 10.9. Any app that modifies the appearance of either of these apps? I tried the trial version of Busy Cal but it preserves the look that I find so displeasing in OS 10.9's calendar. I was happy with earlier iterations of these apps, but now they seem glaring and ugly - - so much so that I am thinking of returning to OS 10.8.5. In general, I have found no significant improvements in OS 10.9.4 - - in regards to my work at least - - and somewhat less stability.
