Jun 21, 2014I am unable to access the iTunes Store on my Macbook. I open iTunes and try to go to the iTunes Store. All that is there is a blank screen. When I try to search for something, it stays on the blank screen. I have completely updated the iTunes software and am still experiencing the same issues.

May 25, 2012Have just upgraded my macbook to Lion. I logged into the app store, bought, downloaded and installed Lion no problem.
After upgrade I returned to the app store to download ibooks author. I can find ibooks author but when I try and install the app I have to sign in and I get a "connection failed" error message.
The same happens in iTunes when I try and view my account - "The network connection failed"
I can access the internet with no problems - including secure sites. I can access software update with no problems.
I have made no changes to my network settings - could sign in and download apps before upgrade, unable to after upgrade.

Feb 25, 2012Suddenly (as of this AM) my iTunes App Store pages are blank. Never had this problem before. [I'm running a MBA under 10.7.3, with latest iTunes (10.5.3).] Symptoms: The Home Page is completely blank except for right panels (Quick Links, Top Charts) and iTunes Store footer; all other tabs on top do the same, except for App Store page, which is completely blank.Connection to Store is fine--iPhone syncs w/o a problem, and I can see my apps, music, updates, etc., can even access my Wish List.Updates download w/o problems, but if I try to view page for an app, only the top part of the page loads, down to "What's New in version xxx". Everything below is blank--no views of app, no Reviews, etc.Category pages will load, but without any Thumbnails, only text, but Purchase buttons work.My iPhone connects and appears as it should--no problems at all.
What I've Tried:reloading iTunes page--several times--no help.Reopening iTunes--several times--no help.Rebooting Mac--dittoRemoving iTunes.rsrc from iTunes [Package Contents/Resources] folder--relaunching iTunes-->didn't help, made it worse-->put it back...same issueOn iPhone:App Store seems to work fine.

Jun 17, 2014Upgraded to ITunes 11.2.2, the latest, using 10.6.8 OS on an Imac and first I noticed no images in my Wishlist. Just a blank screen, with the ability to sort by name ,etc tab. Now when I do a search for an artist or an album on the store, I get a blank screen also for results, i see the text for showing the options of Aps, Music, Movies, but no images of search results.

Feb 17, 2009Starting yesterday, I can no longer access iTunes Store via iTunes. I've not changed any settings whatsoever on my MBP. The only thing I've recently done is run an advertised security update a couple of days ago. When I start iTunes and click on iTunes Store it just says "Accessing iTunes Store...", but never loads anything. I can update my podcasts with no problems. Could this new security update have screwed something up?

Jun 21, 2014I'm trying to run iTunes Match and it simply stalls at stage 1. Yes, I believe I've tried the fixes listed in other places where this seems to have been an ongoing issue since launch - and not all of these work for the people there, either. These include removing stoping and starting Match, stopping and starting Genius, stopping and starting Genius and Match, moving the iTunes Library files and reimporting them as new libraries and so on. Nothing is working for me.
I run iTunes match and it matches "most" of my songs and then stalls. I've left it for days to see how long the stall is and it never clears.Over the last few days' stops and starts, it's matched as follows:

iTunes frequently also can't access the iTunes Store or comes up with unknown errors.this is an entirely new music library. I set up my Mac from scratch a few months ago with a new SSD. My music library had a lot of old files sampled at low bit rates - I was re-ripping to flac for my hifi, so I decided to re-rip to iTunes as well at the same time (my previous iTunes Match had lots of stuff it couldn't match, but was uploaded at a low bit rate since that was all that was available). My network connection is wired and I have very good broadband (cable) speed.

I've trashed the Library/Safari/Extensions plist folder and re-booted but this has not helped. I can install them but not manage them through the preferences > extensions window.

Apr 18, 2007I have used an iBook G4 for a year and a half I only use wireless Internet connections. I recently started getting error messages when I tried to perform a Software Update. The error reads: "Software Update can't connect to the update server. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, then try again. Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem."
Perhaps at the same time (I hadn't paid too much attention at first) I found that I was unable to connect to the iTunes Store. This error message read: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was refused. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." A google search shows that the second error message is common among PC users who think apple is conspiring to keep them out of the iTunes store with iTunes v7.1.1. I don't know about network settings but I don't make a point of ever fiddling with them. I assume both of these problems are symptoms of the same network mess-up. Can anyone steer me clear?

Jun 26, 2009I waited for 3 years to get a new MBP, and 12 hours ago, my dreams were finally realized. I pulled it out of the box, transferred some data, and hopped on a plane to my best friends baby blessing. I'm gone for a week, and I'll need windows access, so I threw my WinXP SP3 disc in my carryon. I of course forgot to get the OS X discs with the windows drivers from out of the MBP box. So, I'm states away from my discs, with no local options. Does anyone know where I can get the drivers for the new Unibody MBP (the one with the SD card slot and the 512VRAM, to clarify)? I'll be anxiously refreshing this page.

Dec 9, 2014I'm on a macbook circa 2007 (not eligible for Yosemite). I was running 10.7.5 (lion) but had issues and had to reinstall from snow leopard disk. I've updated to 10.6.8 and installed combo update, but App store still won't open (it's crossed out in icon in doc and I get an error that says I need 10.7 to open it). So I can't update to 10.7 without app store and I can't open app store with 10.7. Catch 22.
I've tried restoring from Time Machine backups where system was using 10.7.5, but those restores failed.
I can't access any of photos, etc.

Dec 19, 2006I created some blank disk images to store sensitive data in; with some I created my own password and with others I had the system do it. I also made the mistake of instructing the system to remember the passwords. Remembering the passwords kind of defeats the purpose as it automatically opens the folders. I want to be prompted for a password and never have been. I want to delete the blank disk image folders, but have not found a way of doing this and then I will create them again and instruct it not to remember the passwords. How to delete or change the password settings?

But i noticed that shrek's icon is not in the grouped that previously moved nor on the original location. I go to appstore but it keeps on popping "Download now" "Shrek's fairytale kingdom will now begin to download." . The appsstore is encountering an infinte loop in my phone. Oct 20, 2009Anybody see this before? I opened up Terminal.app and the window is completely blank. There is nothing in it whatsoever. Looks as if bash never started. The title bar simply says "Terminal — login — 80x24". I can type whatever I want in the Terminal window like it's a text document and nothing happens. If I restart the computer, this seems to fix the problem, but it seems to only be a temporary fix as the issue happens again soon after.

Nov 25, 2009Everytime I try to click on my external hard drive it closes the window. I have two identical WD MyBook 250GB drives. Both are FAT 32 formatted. I can access one of them fine from my Macbook. The other displays its icon, but as soon as I click on it, it opens a window, then closes it again. I can access the drive via a PC. I purchased a replacement hard drive (LaCie mobile disk 500GB) which worked fine until I transferred the data at which point the same thing started happening with the new drive.
I ran a Bit Defender scan on the hard drive and the only thing that turned up was an "Exploit.PDF-JS.Gen" file buried inside Adobe Acrobat. Bit Defender couldn't quarantine or disinfect the file so I deleted the copy of Acrobat but the drive still won't mount. I have a Macbook running OS X 10.4.11 and a 2 Ghz Intel processor.

Apr 7, 2012I bought this iMac which was purchased new Nov 24th 2011 and I bought it from a friend in January 2012 as well as purchased the applecare. When I did a clean install it removed the iLife bundle and when I try to reinstall it the app store tells me this: These apps cannot be accepted by your Apple ID.These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID, and they will be available in that Apple ID's Purchases list. If you don't have access to that Apple ID and want to receive future updates, you will need to purchase the applications.I would not have done the clean install if I knew that it would take away some of the features but when the Apple employee told me how to do it he didnt tell me that some items would not reinstall without the original Apple ID (not that I blame him).Is there any way that I can get them back on my computer without having to purchase them. I think that since they came with the computer originally that it should be possible.
