Since upgrading to 10.7.3 (OSX) my Canon camera is no longer recognized. "No Camera Found" message appears. This appears when I plug in a flash drive as well.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am not a mac user (please forgive me) but I have a friend who has a Mac and cannot print all of a sudden. From what I understand it is an I-Mac and the OS is OSX.
All of a sudden (after a few years without trouble) she is getting an out of memory message when she sends a job to the printer. Further, no jobs show up in the printer dialogue window when it is sent from the computer. The print jobs are not large, just simple emails. Even when she creates a blank message with the word test in the body it still wont print.
The printer is an HP D4160.
It is not sending any messages re: the status of the cartridges. The computer is communicating with the printer as it will print a test page when commanded to from the computer so this is truly baffling.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
In the mail program the signature appears in every message I type even when i reply. Can I change this so that it does not appear at the bottom of the message when I reply, as it is appearing right down the bottom of the emails.
If not, what is a better email client to use on the mac, perhaps thunderbird?
I can't update software because a message appears that I have to log with the same Apple ID that was used to purchase them: iMovie, Garage Band, iPhoto, but those apps came with OSX Lion.How can I get the "original" Apple ID?

Uninstalling then re-installing iTunes

Have approx 1300 songs only 60 are accessible. Songs are not available on my Itouch. Itouch syncs but no songs there. Issue happened on 2/25 after my wife bought a song from iStore.
I tried to press shift, cmd and v during startup which notified that the os x version cannot be identified!

I then went to About this mac in the toolbar and click "Disc Burning" and it states that there is no burning device found. Help would be appreciated, here are my specs

I know its there(Combo CD burner/DVD reader drive.)
The other prob is that there is a disc stuck in the drive. I have tried all the various methods to eject the disc to no avail including rebooting and holding Cmd-Opt-O-F then typing eject cd but alas I "have no cd drive"

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a imac (intel) running snow lepord - i was using the maching when it froze up with the dreaded spinning wheel. I left the computer sit for 45 min with no change then powered down using the power button. I let sit for a few min. then restarted using the power button. A screen showed up with a folder with question mark flashing. I looked in support and saw that I should try a few different things and then got to the section...if this doesn't work put the DVD startup in the computer and hold C while starting. I did this, went into disk utility (as the directions stated) and once there my harddrive is nowhere to be found.I am guessing my HD is out but not really sure.This Imac is less than 1.5 years old and has already had one HD go out.
