Safari :: 5.1.7 Resumes Last Session And Freezes Immediately
Jun 24, 2012Upon the start of Safari, it resumes the last session and immediately freezes, showing the spinning rainbow and failing to load pages. None of the toolbar options can be accessed. I can only force quit. Restarting the computed accomplishes nothing.
I am running Mac OS 10.7.4 with Safari 5.1.7

Jul 27, 2009quicktime randomly freezes when watching full length movies 1+ hours, it happens randomly and i am unsure what causes it.
Latest quicktime + perian.
Tried reinstallling quicktime and no change.

Feb 5, 2012Having been a mac owner for a few years now, I guess it actually shows the quality of the product that this is the first time I've had to post on this site.I've recently upgraded from my 2008 model MacBook to an early 2011 model MacBook Pro 17" with Lion. This machine was brand new when I purchased it, and is a very lovely bit of kit.
The problem comes from the sleep functionality. Approximately one time of three, when I resume from sleep, the keyboard will be malfunctioning. What I mean by this is that when I type letters, they come out as symbols instead. I haven't been sharp enough to get a direct mapping of A-Z yet (I will do next time), but these aren't the 'ALT' key symbols, they're more like this (which is what I typed into Notepad last time this happened)In order to resolve this, I need to restart the computer, which, thus far, has resolved the issue every time. That said, it's a bit of a pain, so would like to know what's going on and if there is any way to prevent it.
All the software on the mac is up to date at time of writing, there have been no expansions to the machine (yet), so it's exactly as shipped. It's the 2.2GHz i7 Quad Core device, and is the first one supporting the thunderbolt graphics connector. Could it be a hardware problem (if so, I want to return it asap to get it sorted).

Sep 10, 2014It seems every day Apple Mail puts a couple good messages in the junk folder. Unfortunately, it doesn't mark them as junk, so I am unable to mark them as not junk. I reset the junk mail preferences, so it does not "trust junk mail headers in messages," and I removed the envelope indices as discussed here: Junk Mail eating non-junk mail but neither worked, ad good messages are still going to the junk folder.

Dec 14, 2009I'm deciding to buy myself a new mac pro coming around Jan-Feb and since mac pro's cost sooo much I'm cutting money on every corner; from buying only on amazon to using magazine coupons. The biggest money waster in my opinion is the 22' Led Cinema display apple sells. It costs around 900$ to buy an apple display which hasn't been updated for 3+ years when new Dell monitors of the same size (with camera installed and quality optional speakers) cost roughly about 400 max? I know apple displays are premium but extra 500 bucks is ridiculous.

Apr 14, 2012My Apple remote won't pair with my iMac (Lion) or my MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard). It works with iTunes and VLC Media Player on both without being paired, but pairing is supposed to work isn't it?I've used the iMac's camera to check that the remote's battery is OK. When I press any one button, the live camera picture shows a blinking light. However, if I press two buttons (Menu and Next, as is required for pairing) there is no blinking light.Is it possible that the Apple remote's battery is good enough to create a blinking light when one button is pressed, but not when two are pressed? I've hardly used it, so I'd be surprised if the battery was low already.
Also, I'm not sure that when I click on Pair... in System Preferences > Security & Privacy, whether the pressing of two buttons for pairing has to be done while the OK popup is present or not. It doesn't matter when I try it, I never see a paired-remote graphic.
