Apr 9, 2010I have a Nokia N78 cellphone which I can sync to my Macbook Pro using iSync. This works fine for photos, iCal, contacts but I what I would like to do is to be able to back up and view my sms on my Mac. Does anybody know if there is anyway of achieving this (free if possible)? If not, can anybody recommend a phone (other than the obvious iPhone) that has this syncing capability with Macs? I am looking to update my phone soon anyway.

Mar 15, 2012I have tried unsuccessfully to download Nokia Multimedia Transfer. I have also tried unsuccessfully to remove it. When I startup my iMac the Nokia application is open waiting to setup Bluetooth. I have tried to do this but still to no avail. I am unable to remove the icon from the desktop. There is no icon in the Applications folder in the Dock. The operating system is OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

IMac :: My 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo Missing Mobile Components
Feb 22, 2010using my early 2006 iMac with an Intel Core Duo processor. I have read several guides online on how to access the processor (taking apart the case, etc), and I am confident I am capable of undertaking the task. After reading this guide I feel like I will be able to do it myself (with the help of my electrical/mechanical engineering friend (still hasn't decided his major yet! I'm a physics student, so I should be capable as well, ha! Anyways as you can see, that guide gives very little information as to what CPUs can be used. I looked up the processor that they used in the guide (the T5600) and all of the results came up for a mobile processor. I have heard in the past that most of Apple's desktops contained "laptop grade" hardware, so it would make sense if it contained mobile components.

However, the phone did not have EDGE, so I bought a Nokia 6300 today. But to my disappointment, it seems that it is impossible to either synchronise the phone with my Mac or use it as a modem. iSync, even in its latest version, does not support my phone and I just cannot connect to the Internet using it.

Jun 2, 2012I am using an iMac with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, which has Mail 4.5 on it.Since yesterday, my Mail application will no longer download e-mails. When I open it, the little tray in the corner says it is downloading message 26 of 26, but after it finishes, nothing happens. No new Mail has been downloaded. It keeps doing this, even after a reboot (I have double-checked that the order of my Mail hasn't changed, and it isn't just showing at the bottom).
Today, I removed my Gmail account from Mail, and added it again. I entered my Gmail username/password. Once set up, it proceeds to download e-mails (downloading 1 of 26). The thing is, it has shown this constantly for the last 20 minutes. I don't even have big recent e-mails.
