View 1 RepliesI have tried unsuccessfully to download Nokia Multimedia Transfer. I have also tried unsuccessfully to remove it. When I startup my iMac the Nokia application is open waiting to setup Bluetooth. I have tried to do this but still to no avail. I am unable to remove the icon from the desktop. There is no icon in the Applications folder in the Dock. The operating system is OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

I've just got a new phone and im having trouble syncing it to my macbook. Normally it's just a case of getting the plugin and ar she blows but according to the internet the new isync has disabled most of the old plugins. I know I can get them with nova media but I don't really want to spend more money on it... Does anyone know of a method to make plugins work again or know of anywhere I could get one? Actually, while were on the subject, does anyone have a clue why apple updated isync, removed half the phones and disabled loads of plugins for seemingly no reason??? just me and my mad rants

My macbook paires with the phone, and the phone with the MB, but neither iSync or File sharing via Bluetooth work

I used handbrake to rip my personal dvd's and tried using Internet Tablet Video Converter to convert the AVI files for viewing on my N810. When the final file is transfer, all I can see on my tablet is a blank screen, no audio, the file doesn't seem to play at all. Does anyone have the correct handbrake settings for my issue?

I have thousands of MS Word & PDF documents stored on my G3 drives. When I drag & drop my documents onto the Leopard drive ? their blue, white, red, colored icons are transformed into a bunch of ?non-descript? almost translucent icons. This really sucks ? One should be able to distinguish various types of documents at a glance! Does anyone know how to get the icons for Adobe PDF & MS Word documents, which were standardized between OS 8 and OS 10.4.11, to appear ?normal? in the Leopard OS? Is there a ?Preferences? setting or a ?Third Party? software fix for something like this?

I'm looking for some 2.0 without the subwoofer. The H/K Soundstick II intrigued me a little but I'm narrowing my search down to subwoofer-less setup for now. It doesn't necessarily have to be the best sounding but something minimalist and isn't going to sound tinny.
I have a couple of Dell Multimedia keyboards, Windows/PC obviously, model SK-8135. In addition to special dedicated keys for web/home, e-mail, back & forward web browser button and calculator, it has a rotary volume knob and playback controls for audio/visual.
Is there a add-on program or patch that can translate such functions from a PC keyboard to iMac?

I had a Sony Ericsson W550i till today and I was immensely impressed by the fact that I could use it as an external drive or a modem and could synchronise my contact list and calendar to it without using any external software. However, the phone did not have EDGE, so I bought a Nokia 6300 today. But to my disappointment, it seems that it is impossible to either synchronise the phone with my Mac or use it as a modem. iSync, even in its latest version, does not support my phone and I just cannot connect to the Internet using it.

I synchronized my Nokia mobile with iSync and after verifying more than 300 Contact, I prepaid a very good list of contacts.
Unfortunately, I deleted all of my contacts on Nokia and run iSync again to have new contact List in my mobile.
But I saw that it's deleted some of my data and there is no more contacts in both side.

Just recently I decided to format my Western Digital 1TB external HD from FAT32 to NTFS, due to NTFS having capabilities to transfer single files bigger than 4GB. So before formatting it, I transferred all the data onto my MacBook Pro and then did the full NTFS format of the external HD.
Now the problem is I CANNOT transfer the data back onto my external hard drive because apparently Mac OS can only read the NTFS files and not write on there.
I do not wish to re-format my external HD back to FAT32, therefore I'd like to ask you guys whether something could be done about this? (Btw, I've seen some site like the NTFS-3G site but I'm not sure if that applies to me and how to use it anyway.) How could I transfer data back and forth from the NTFS external HD to Mac OS?
Trying to transfer data from Mc 10.6.8 to a new Mac Air on my home wireless network. Starts off ok and after 15 minutes...Macair message says the other Mac isn't responding...Check network devices for connection and being turned on. All seems to be connected and on and all within 12 inches of each other.
