OS X V10.7 Lion :: Scanning With Epson Workforce 4530
Feb 9, 2012I purchased an Epson Workforce 4530 all in one printer. Using this machine, so far, is less than an all in one experience with OS Lion. I seem to be unable to fax from my computer, and scanning from the computer via wifi connection requires I use Image Capture, rather than the Epson software. Using Image Capture to scan multipage documents is less than desirable as it scans each page as an individual image/file.

Feb 3, 2012We just purchased an Epson Workforce 845 all-in-one printer to use with our 24" iMac. The OS is 10.6.8, with the Supplemental 1.1 update installed. Some printing options such as printing only the "selection" are not available. What can be done to get these options when printing with a newly released Epson printer?

OS X :: Leopard Not Recognizing Printer On Network?
Jan 27, 20093 iMacs on network (running Leopard) are not recognizing the printer that is connected to iMac running OS X 10.3.9. Attempted to make some changes in Terminal on the Leopard' macs in regards to the CUPS protocol that the 10.3 version of OS X uses to recognize networked printers but it didnt seem to work.
Note: I did attempt to add --- cupsctl BrowseProtocols='"cups dnssd" --- to the Terminal in accordance with an article on Apples support area but the Terminal responded with "unmatched".

May 1, 2012I have a Firewire Epson Stylus Pro 4800 on a G4 running OSX10.2, this is on an ethernet network connected to 3 MacPros. I've just upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 and can no longer see the Epson on the network. As Appletalk is no longer supported on Snow Leopard, is there a way to connect to the Epson? I've tried adding an IP printer using the G4's IP address with the Epson print driver, but no luck.

Mac Pro :: How To Setup Epson R300
Jun 19, 2014I use a mid - 2012 Mac Pro; run Mavericks OS X 10.9.3. I have an Epson R300 that is incompatible with 10.9.3; but according to Epson I may be able to setup my R300 to my Mac Pro buy one of three ways:
1. USB: Connect your product to your Mac using a USB cable.
2. Wireless: You'll need to download and install the "Epson Wireless Setup" utility to establish the connection to your router.
3. Ethernet: My Epson printer does not have an Ethernet connection so this one is ruled out.
I am trying number 1: USB. I downloaded the Apple "PrinterProxy Version 9.0 (447)" and ran the software. Whenever I try to print something I get the following:
"Stopped - Unsupported colorspace = -1, 1 page"
What should I do to print with the above mentioned Epson printer, if possible?
OS X :: Unable To Access Network Window / Network Settings Changed By Another Application
Dec 11, 2009My neighbor has an IMac with OS 10.4.11 installed. When I open System Preferences and select the Network icon, the Network window comes up but it is overlayed with a message that states: "Your network settings have been changed by another application." When I click OK, this same overlaid window comes back.
The only way I can get out of System Preferences at this point is to do a Force Quit. In other words, because this overlaid window appears, I am unable to access the Network window to look at TCP/IP settings, make changes, etc.
Next I went into System/Library/Preference Panes/Network.prefPane(more info) to look at the application that appeared in the "Open with" field. It stated "System Preference." I replaced this with a new "System Preferences from the Applications Folder, but the same thing happened - even after I rebooted the computer.
Please let me know how to solve this problem so I can access the Network System Preferences properly.

Software :: Unable To Connect To Network - Network Icon Missing In Finder
Dec 5, 2006I have a home network running 3 PC's(with XP) and 2 Macs (with Tiger OS X 10.4.8). Mysteriously one of my Macs(MacMini) refuses to show a Network icon in the Finder sidebar? I have used the Go > Network menu to try to get a Network icon, but this does work. Yesterday I did a scheduled Mac OS system update, and it seems that since then I have not been able to see/get a Network icon in my Finder.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? PS - I am able to use the old 'GO > Connect to Computer' method, then type in the smb://myOfficePc, and access shared files on other PCs on the network. So networking is configured properly on this MacMini.

Dec 31, 2010I have Alltel Mobile Broadband. Up until the other day, it's been working fine. I'd set up a network on my macbook after connecting to the Alltel network, then I'd enable internet sharing. Then my iPod Touch, iPad, etc would all be able to go online.
The past couple days, however, the connection just won't share.Anyone have any idea what could be doing this and how to fix it?

Sep 22, 2010I am trying to figure out how to automatically connect a MacBook to a network drive after connecting to the wireless network that the drive is connected to.
Here is the situation:
I back-up my wife's MacBook via Time Machine to an external hard drive that is connected to my Apple desktop. It works great! I even have her system setup to automatically mount the drive upon log-in. Unfortunately, after leaving our wireless signal and then coming back the time machine drive isn't automatically mounted since she isn't "logging back-in". Is there an automator script that can be built to automatically connect to drive X after connecting to wireless network Z?

Aug 7, 2010I've searched everywhere and have one nagging issue. After I uninstalled Parallels I keep getting two Parallels Virtual Network Connections under Network in System Preferences. It happens every time I restart, I have to redeleate them. Has anyone had this problem after uninstalling Parallels?

Feb 20, 2012Have recently done a clean install of Lion onto a Mac Pro that was running Snow Leopard. Upgradede to 10.7.3 The Lion Mac sits on an office network of several macs running Snow Leopard and a Network Shared HDD. In order to gain quick full access to the other computers we have been using "connect as" then inputting the macs registerred user administrator details, we were able us access to the full Mac and it's currently mounted hard drives. Since installing Lion I can see and fully access the network share which only uses guest access, see the Other macs in finder, add to their drop boxes but not connect as a registerred user to access one of the snow Leopard machines. I get a pop up. Spinning wheel, and eventually a timeout. Can't even cancel this action as it comes up greyed out. Oddly the other macs can still log into the Lion machine. No joy so far toggling network preferrences and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a setting I have missed, So far have had not joy looking online or playing in seeing why it would now not be able to connect as before.

Dec 3, 2010I have a Mac OS X with 10.6.5 version software. The Guttenberg (excuse spelling) driver works but the graphics printing has faults. So I would like to get the Epson (Epson Stylus Photo r200) driver working on the Mac. The Epsom software is the latest easyprint 2009 and after installation it was available for selection in the list of available printers and seemed to install okay. I have tried reinstalling, rebooting and have followed Epson's troubleshooting pages including resetting the printers and repairing permissions.
If I click "options supplies" on the "printers and faxes window" and then "utility" and then "open printer utility" it tells me that Epson printer utility 4 cannot be executed or the printer is not registered for this software and cannot function properly using the current connections. Is there somewhere else on the computer where I have to tell it to use the USB to print or do I have to register it with the computer or with Epson?

Mar 5, 2012I use a MacBook Pro to print to an Epson 9800 roll printer -- been doing this for years with no problem.
UNTIL NOW! All of a sudden, the Epson is laying down huge quantities of ink, especially when I print onto film (for screen printing). It puts down so much ink, the ink dribbles down the film and drips off the printer, pooling on the floor, until I leap up and cancel the job. What's more, the printer is printing a light-colored background to images that had no background to begin with.
Here's the catch: *this only happens in Photoshop.* (I'm using CS 5.1.) If I take the same image file, place it in Illustrator, and print it, it comes out just fine. So the problem lies in Photoshop's print options. Somehow, something got changed in the last couple weeks, and I have no idea what.
I'm hoping that someone here will be familiar with this *particular* printing problem, and what the *specific* Photoshop printing option might be that is causing this.

When I plug it in I can see it in the Add Printer window, but when I try to install the driver, I get a message saying the "software is currently unavailable". I searched the epson site, but they don't seem to have drivers compatible with 10.7.

Mar 12, 2012I have Mac OS 10.7.3 I keep getting the message 'there was problem connecting to server epson 6649b7. I go to that printer, which was never an active printer, but it will not allow me to delete it. The only option I am given is resume printing / supply levels / printer setup. Even if I correctly choose Epson WF600 as my default printer, I still get that message popping up constantly.

May 17, 2012Last night, when I tried to print a document in Acrobat on my Epson 2200, I got a notice to the effect that new software was required for the 2200, and did I want to download it. Feeling comfortable that I was dealing with an Apple installation, I approved the install. Now I cannot print anything on my Epson 2200. Every print attempt fails. I have reinstalled the print driver, tried another driver (Gutenprint), but can't get anything to work.I'm running Lion 10.7.4 on an iMac with 4 Gb of RAM.

The strange thing is my scaning driver is there and working, but my wireless printer is not there. I can see my Epson Printer, but its not the wireless driver, its the older driver for using the cable.
