This is a heads-up for owners of Epson R300 and some other Epson printers. There is an internal "counter" that at a certain point will stop the printer and announce: "service required". You will be advised to call Epson - before the printer will print again.
I use a mid - 2012 Mac Pro; run Mavericks OS X 10.9.3. I have an Epson R300 that is incompatible with 10.9.3; but according to Epson I may be able to setup my R300 to my Mac Pro buy one of three ways:
1. USB:Â Connect your product to your Mac using a USB cable.
2. Wireless:Â You'll need to download and install the "Epson Wireless Setup" utility to establish the connection to your router.
3. Ethernet:Â My Epson printer does not have an Ethernet connection so this one is ruled out.Â
I am trying number 1: USB. I downloaded the Apple "PrinterProxy Version 9.0 (447)" and ran the software. Whenever I try to print something I get the following:
"Stopped - Unsupported colorspace = -1, 1 page"Â
What should I do to print with the above mentioned Epson printer, if possible?
bought my first mac (imac) and have installed my epson r300 printer using the disc that came with the printer. I have had the printer for about 4 years now.The problem I have on my PC you got the option to select paper type ie plain, photo, matt etc;. On my mac I cannot seem to find the option. I have tried page setup, print preview etc
The wireless network I want to join runs through a Wnet R300 router with a 3.5G simcard wireless internet connection. My MacBook will not connect, while all other devices (Kindle, Nokia phone, Mac Mini, etc.) will. I have changed the wireless security on the router from WEP to WPA2 and still no luck. What settings do I need to change?Â
It has been a while i havnt used my MacBook Air. I forgot my passwords to enter. How do I completely reset my computer so that passwords are disabled or just reset?

I have a Firewire Epson Stylus Pro 4800 on a G4 running OSX10.2, this is on an ethernet network connected to 3 MacPros. I've just upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 and can no longer see the Epson on the network. As Appletalk is no longer supported on Snow Leopard, is there a way to connect to the Epson? I've tried adding an IP printer using the G4's IP address with the Epson print driver, but no luck.
I am trying to run an Epson EMP-TW 720 projector from my mini mac. It is not showing the entire desktop, I can see the majority but not the top bar and not quite all of the bottom. What must I do, driver update?
I have just upgraded my Macbook 2.2GHz Intel with 2 GB RAM and 250GB HD from 10.5 to 10.6 My Epson stylus photo R1800 printer has stopped working. I have downloaded the 'drivers & utilities combo package' from the Epson website, installed, restarted etc but still nothing being printed.
I have a Mac OS X with 10.6.5 version software. The Guttenberg (excuse spelling) driver works but the graphics printing has faults. So I would like to get the Epson (Epson Stylus Photo r200) driver working on the Mac. The Epsom software is the latest easyprint 2009 and after installation it was available for selection in the list of available printers and seemed to install okay. I have tried reinstalling, rebooting and have followed Epson's troubleshooting pages including resetting the printers and repairing permissions.
If I click "options supplies" on the "printers and faxes window" and then "utility" and then "open printer utility" it tells me that Epson printer utility 4 cannot be executed or the printer is not registered for this software and cannot function properly using the current connections. Is there somewhere else on the computer where I have to tell it to use the USB to print or do I have to register it with the computer or with Epson?
I've got an all-in-one printer (Epson DX3800) and the ink levels are not showing up in the supplies section. I've looked on the manufacturers website for drivers, but they dont have any for the mac. Is there any way in which I can get around this?
I use a MacBook Pro to print to an Epson 9800 roll printer -- been doing this for years with no problem.Â
UNTIL NOW! All of a sudden, the Epson is laying down huge quantities of ink, especially when I print onto film (for screen printing). It puts down so much ink, the ink dribbles down the film and drips off the printer, pooling on the floor, until I leap up and cancel the job. What's more, the printer is printing a light-colored background to images that had no background to begin with.Â
Here's the catch: *this only happens in Photoshop.* (I'm using CS 5.1.) If I take the same image file, place it in Illustrator, and print it, it comes out just fine. So the problem lies in Photoshop's print options. Somehow, something got changed in the last couple weeks, and I have no idea what.Â
I'm hoping that someone here will be familiar with this *particular* printing problem, and what the *specific* Photoshop printing option might be that is causing this.

I'm trying to add an Epson PictureMate PM 260 printer to my iMac, 10.7.3. When I plug it in I can see it in the Add Printer window, but when I try to install the driver, I get a message saying the "software is currently unavailable". I searched the epson site, but they don't seem to have drivers compatible with 10.7.
I have Mac OS 10.7.3 I keep getting the message 'there was problem connecting to server epson 6649b7. I go to that printer, which was never an active printer, but it will not allow me to delete it. The only option I am given is resume printing / supply levels / printer setup. Even if I correctly choose Epson WF600 as my default printer, I still get that message popping up constantly.

Last night, when I tried to print a document in Acrobat on my Epson 2200, I got a notice to the effect that new software was required for the 2200, and did I want to download it. Feeling comfortable that I was dealing with an Apple installation, I approved the install. Now I cannot print anything on my Epson 2200. Every print attempt fails. I have reinstalled the print driver, tried another driver (Gutenprint), but can't get anything to work.I'm running Lion 10.7.4 on an iMac with 4 Gb of RAM.Â
Info: iMac (27-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.4), 4 GB RAM
I recently got a new (used) mini and now can't seem to print. The printer shows up when the printer window opens, but the printer just doesn't respond. I checked the wiring. It is connected by USB. I also looked for a new printer driver for this model, but can't find one that works with this OS
Just out of the blue, I can't print using my epson 600, a multi use printer that I have set up on my network.
The strange thing is my scaning driver is there and working, but my wireless printer is not there. I can see my Epson Printer, but its not the wireless driver, its the older driver for using the cable.
I have just updated my Mac Pro to OS X 10.9.3, then my Epson Scan driver cannot work anymore... (Though the printer works...)
My Epson belongs to the "Epson Stylus SX 430" series, according to here:OS X: Printer and scanner software available for download this all-in-one machine should be compatible with OS X 10.9.3, but I can not find the proper driver software... I have downloaded some new softwares from official web. of Epson, but it did not work... It seems that Epson did not have a effective software for OS X 10.9.3....Â
Mac Pro: OS X 10.9.3
Epson Stylus SX 435W, Scanner cannot work because of invalid software.
Epson Update 2.19 has automatically updated itself 81 times since the beginning of November. In addition I get a daily warning that this update has not been made automatically coupled with an invitation to me to install it. How to stop it?
I recently purchased an IRIScan Express 2 single sheet scanner to use as a portable, After installing the IRIS, I find that my Epson 1250 flatbed scanner will not start. I am running OSX 10.5.8 on an intel mac tower. Has anyone had this problem with two scanners on the same operating system or on the same hard drive? I could use an external hard drive to run one if that is the only solution.
I have a Epson Perfection 636u scanner from 1999 and am thinking of getting a new iMac. On the Epson support page, it lists the newest driver from 1999 and says that it will work on Macintosh system 7.5 to 8.6. (here is a link http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...s&platform=All). Any chance of this working on Tiger? I don't see myself buying a new scanner because I use it just a few times per year.
I've just tried to install the epson drivers for my printer Epson Stylus Photo R220, went to their site and downloded the driver, installed and resarted.
Then installed the Epson Print CD application that comes with the CD, and installed, however when i try to print to CD an error states:
"The epson print driver dealing with CD printing is not installed"
I've looked on the CD and on their site and cannot find anything.
I purchased an Epson CX8300 recently to work with my iMac and MacBook. It works fine with both via USB connection. However, when set to print wirelessly via an Airport Extreme Base Station, the print jobs don't ever appear in the print queues on either systems. I tried switching to the Gutenprint driver but this just spits out one blank page after another.
I've been using the Epson R340 printer w/my g4 forever. Now all of a sudden I can't print. I've reinstalled drivers from epson's website, nothing. Then I found some existing epson drivers on my HD using spotlight. Tried installing those, but repeatedly got "could not install hardware, there were some errors". What's strange is that via Epson Printer Utility I can do nozzle checks, ink level checks, etc., which tells me the computer is connecting w/the printer. Except when it comes to printing.
