Years ago I purchased a number of songs in my library using a corporate email address that is no longer valid and I do not remember the password. As I have no way to retrieve these songs and autyhorize them it because of the inactive account I cannot play the songs on my new computer without repurchasing them.

I guess this is a bit trivial, but I want to change the display at the bottom of my iTunes screen. The part that tells you how many albums you have, the total playing time, and size. Currently, this is displayed with the European system of using commas instead of points as the decimal separators. I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure it used to have points and then a few days ago, it switched on me. I noticed it after I installed an update. Is there a way of changing it back?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy iTunes DJ will not display under 20 Upcoming Songs. I want it to be zero, but when I choose this option it sticks to 20 Upcomming Songs still. Tried the other values smaller than 20, as well. However, oddly, it will allow switching to numbers higher than this (i.e. it WILL display 50, 100, etc. Upcoming Songs).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am needing to replace the bottom case of my late 2006 MBP. It has a large dent in it that is causing some problems. My question is, do I need to get the exact part number listed on the bottom of my laptop (A1211) or can I get a bottom from any pre-unibody MBP i.e. A1260? Also, has anyone ever replaced this part? How difficult is it? I have experience working on laptops, I've just never taken a mac this much apart.

Is it possible to only have a certain group of "songs" stay in a playlist, away from the full list of songs?

My second problem with my PowerBook G4 DVI 667Mhz is that the screen goes about a half inch off the right and bottom of the display. So unless I position the dock on the left, I can't see it if it's placed on the bottom or right of the screen. I also have to drag any icons that show up on the right of the screen to the middle because I can't see them except for their very edge that appears on the screen. This has happened with OS X 10.3, and still after I installed OS X 10.2.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi think that there is something wrong with my macbook display, but i am not very sure. This problem has been there since the day i bought my macbook so i thought there was nothing wrong till i read one of a post in this forum.
The bottom sides of the macbook screen seems relatively dim as compared to the other sides of the screen and specially prominent when viewed in a white screen. Is there something wrong with the backlight? Should i send to an apple service centre then?

It appears that I have a stuck or dead pixel at the bottom of my MacBook Pro's display. It's relatively small and unnoticeable, but I use my Dock a lot, which is how I noticed it. I originally mistook it for dust. I tried a few tricks for removing stuck pixels, but none worked, which is why I wonder if it's truly dead. I think the pixel functions; it remains a constant gray color when the screen is on, but I don't think it's completely black nor does it change colors regardless of what is supposed to be showing on it. Flashing different colors with the help of a few pixel tools didn't help either. "Massaging" the pixel didn't work, and I don't feel entirely positive about adding pressure the screen as it is. The pixel must have gone out a couple of weeks ago. I only noticed it recently, and I doubt that it's been there the whole time I've had this model. Now it doesn't affect the functionality of the machine in anyway, and it's only one pixel, so there's not anything I can do about it unless I can determine if it can be brought back or not. I doubt that too. I think it is quite gone since it is dark in color and it has not responded to any method of restoration. But for all I know, it could just pop on one day. I don't think anything can be done about it, but I'd like to hear some other takes on it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedJust picked up a 11.6" MBA this past Saturday. I am noticing an interesting display "issue"... I wanted to confirm that other's are not seeing this before I take it back to the store.
On the bottom of the display, there's a strip, maybe 2-3mm worth, where it is darker than the rest of the display. Are any of you seeing this behavior as well? It's particularly noticeable when when using solid background colors.
Got a bit of a wierd one. Apple 22" cinema display (the old style). Running from a mac pro with a ATI radeon 1900XT graphics card. Have 4 operating systems running, all were working perfectly until last night. Leopard works great - no problems, as does Tiger and Windows XP running boot camp. What does not work is Vista x64. It was not installed with compatible bootcamp because x64 operating systems are not supported yet. It has been running fine for months though? I also run a small dell 17" TFT off the same graphics card and no problems with that. It defaults to the main desktop on starting up vista, but only in vista. And I get this fast flashing light - about 2 every second or so - regularly. No amber lights and no groups of three.

I have a problem concerning this part of macbook. Two bottom holding tabs - around the hinges area - of the display bezel (that part of plastic where the word "MacBook" is written ) can be so easily freed by single touching this plastic towards the keyboard.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThere seems to be some discoloration or burn it at the bottom of my display - it's a bar that extends across the bottom of my screen and just slightly up either side. I tried to take a picture of it but it doesn't really work well. When the screen is on, but dark (say, netflix or a darker game), it appears faded.Anyway, I am wondering what this is, if it is an easily resolvable issue, and whether it would be covered by the 1-year limited warranty? I'm out in rural VT, so I can't take it to an apple store without driving an hour or so (at least) - can Apple Authorized Repair places do warranty repairs?

My library was removed but was brought back by importing the .xml document. Two problems: One: all my tv shows and music videos are in the movie section. I have over 800 tv shows and music vids, is there a way to edit video type in mass form? two: some of my album artwork is randomly missing. iTunes refuses to retrieve any.

So over the past few months I have noticed this small bug/glitch in iTunes... and it is very annoying.
I cannot drag songs from playlists into different order. iTunes just doesn't let me drag at all.
I have to quit iTunes, then restart it. It will work for one time, but as soon as I got back to "Library" and then try to go back and edit a playlist, I have to exit iTunes.
Any fix for this?
